Great food. Awesome views. bright and clean environment.

We have been served with excellent food and service. Very nice medium rare steak and super tasty Caesar salad. When my kid’s lunch hit the table, it was in room temperature which she could eat her lunch straightaway. So, well deserved 5 stars…

Just got rejected to be served for no obvious reason! The space is cool and the food looks interesting. While the restaurant was busy (but not full) and the group ahead of us got seated, we were told that there were absolutely no tables available for us. When we asked for the wait time, at first we were told 45 minutes, once we asked to be added to the waitlist, the host was not happy about it, took some time and told us the wait time is 3 hours and 40 minutes!!! Which is ridiculous. I cannot stop thinking that it had something to do with the race or age of our group!

Recently dined at Regatta and had some conflicting thoughts about the experience. While the food at Regatta was a pleasant surprise, the service and overall experience left much to be desired. With a bit more attention to service quality and efficiency, this place could truly be a gem. All in all, Regatta fell short of my expectations. The beautiful location couldn't mask the terrible service, and overall disappointing experience. I won't be returning anytime soon.

We dined at Regatta on Saturday night. The place was pretty quiet when we arrived and we counted at least 12 staff on. Wait staff were very attentive and checked in numerous times throughout the night to see if everything was ok. Was able to order drinks throughout without having to flag someone over which is a nice change. We ordered a few sides to share. Raw Kingfish, chicken liver parfait, Korean chicken wings, house-baked Sourdough and seaweed butter and the beef tartare. Everything was delicious and flavor combinations were perfect. For mains we shared the crispy Porchetta, Pan fried fish ( snapper), and chargrilled fish ( tuna ). The mains were equally as delicious as the sides and we all agreed this was the best restaurant food we had in a long time. Although already being at belt undoing point we couldn't resist trying the creme brulee and fromage. So glad we did as this was the perfect way to finish off a fantastic meal. Looking forward to returning to Regatta again in the near future.

Food was great! Service was worst I’ve ever had. Had menus handed to us, pointed towards table. Didn’t get served water, then asked for water and didn’t receive any. Waiter Didn’t follow up with us after food had been delivered. Didn’t follow up for drinks. Had to get up twice to re order a drink. Worst service I’ve received in Auckland for some time. But food and view was great.

Beautiful classy restaurant by the seaside. Friendly and efficient service. The calamari was delicious, well season with a beautiful sauce to compliment the batter and taste. Runa steak was cooked with perfection. Seafood chowder was nice but not my favorite, a slice of lemon would've been nice and wasn't fond of the the texture of the soup, however it did taste nice and was served with a well crisped sour dough and delicious butter. For dessert we had cheesecake, it had a beautiful presentation but I felt that the ginger (or a certain flavour) was too strong in the dessert (just my preference and I'm no food expert) Would definitely come again because the food, atmosphere is amazing! Thank you for a wonderful lunch.

The food was well-crafted. We had a steak and the snapper. Portions were small but filling. Order your coffee extra hot as it can get cold by the time it arrives to your table. The service was friendly. The views are beautiful. I recommend taking a jacket if you are going towards the evening as it got cold, but the ocean views were beautiful.

Very nice setting of the restaurant/bar with beach views and awesome ambience. We sat for about more than 20 minutes and was not served so ended up going to the bar to order our drinks. The young lad at the bar was an amazing bartender he served my drink with such enthusiasm. The two drinks cost around $35. There is no wheelchair access here. The Wilson Carpark is paid and free at certain times, check out the times on the signs. Large playground just across the road and also the beach. We did not order the food as we were being ignored and did not want to dine here although it could have had potential to have a high rating.

Enjoyed Regatta. The antipasto was large- ideal for 4 people and had a nice array of goodies- cold meats, pate, cheeses, pickled veges, fresh fruits, nuts and cracker and breads, really the best I have had in a long time. The Lemon Pepper sqid was delicious. We waited quite awhile for our first drinks even though the place was very quiet but the staff were pleasant and attentive after that, even when it got quite busy. Would like to go back again and try some more things on the menu. Good food, lovely location.

The staff were great, reasonably attentive and friendly. The place is a great location but the table wobbled and the chairs were loud. The sashimi was unnecessarily complicated, the cocktails were light, the mains were pretty basic. Had higher hopes for such a great spot. They are charging for the location not the food.

We had dinner there yesterday. The food was delicious and fresh. Cocktails were amazing and well presented. Very friendly staff and great service. The view was stunning👍👍 Thank you for making our evening so enjoyable! We’ll definitely be back!

Great food and a friendly team at this bright bar / restaurant that flanks Takapuna Beach and reserve. Lots of nearby parking. Only negative was bar was out of stock of some cocktail ingredients on the day of our visit (Sunday afternoon of a sunny weekend) and substitute wine took a long time to arrive.

Had a really delicious meal at ragatta - every bite was full of flavour will definitely come back!

Booked this spot for our anniversary dinner - we had our first date here. Stunning spot, stunning food, and lovely service. We were wished for our anniversary on our way in and given complimentary glasses of champagne to celebrate - so thoughtful. The steaks were nothing short of divine, I had to ask that my compliments be given to the chef on our way out. 10/10 reccomend.

Oysters with thier little vinaigrette is on!!! the food in general is delicious and well cooked hats off to the chefs!! its worth every cent i stopped here with my family my husband my 12 yr old and my 2 yr old he had just awoken when we arrived so he was grumpy had the workers standing around and asking me if he was feeling abit under the weather cause he was screaming n crying. I would go thier for a glass of wine and a shared plate with a mate as the vibe is like beach side chilling but if you are taking kids and one whom is on the spectrum i would preplan it and kinda let them know first hand so they aint standing around wondering why yah kids flapping or making noises asking if they are ok. But all in all the food is delicious with a great view price is pricey customer service needs a little retraining to shapen up thier skills on handeling situations with children on the spectrum. Other then that it was superb

Thank-you for being patient while we decorated to our hearts content. This is going to be an event we are all going to remember for a long time. The whole group was looked after so well.

Popping in today for an impromptu lunch and scored a seat out front with that epic view. I worked here for a short stint but my view of this place is by no means biased. The crew both familiar and unfamiliar were warm and welcoming. Loved seeing my old crew mates and devouring the delicious food served by that wonderful kitchen! Will always make time to pop in for a drink or bite whenever I’m in Takapuna. Thanks for the gorgeous service Frances you gem. Love you Regatta crew xx

What a stunning experience!! Ordered a steak and i think they are one of the best I've had so far. The staff was lovely and the ambience is second to none. I highly recommend.

It does tick lots of boxes for me and was my second time there, good quality food and the atmosphere is pretty nice and organised. Ontime delivery of food as well. Although the type of music was not suiting the mood and it was quiet loud and you rock type. We barely could speak with each other due to loud noise and was pretty annoying. Otherwise everything else were great. They have good portion and menu for kids as well. Great view. Finding parking spot is reasonable as well. One more comment, I ordered steak and would love if there were other options were available for the side not only fries. Maybe some greens or mash ..

Has a wonderful lunch today, such delicious food and the highlight was the raw kingfish, tasted just like in the islands! So fresh and tasty and came recommended by our wonderful server Samara. She was so friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu. Will definitely come back!

Market fish for the day was Tuna. Charcoalgrilled fish with anchovies, cauliflower puree and olive oil. This dish was outstanding with all the combined flavors in your mouth. I can't stop eating the puree as its smooth, silky and tasty. Definitely I recommend this dish. We had a drinking session before that, service was good, quick and satisfying for a corporate groups. See you again next time 😋🥂

Great place for a lazy Saturday lunch (when the kids time two birthday parties at the same time👍) Take the wins when you can.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Ate this here today at around 16:30. This place has an amazing vibe. The lighting, upbeat music, visible kitchen and bar make it stand out from the rest. The front of house staff are very friendly and accomodating. And the food… the food is amazing! I came in with my partner and got the Lemon pepper squid, Korean fried chicken, Short rib and the Pork belly burger. I would rate every single dish very highly, specially the short rib. If you are around Auckland North shore and you want to eat somewhere amazing, you need to come here.

We ordered a pan fried fish and duck leg burger. Fish was not bad but seems a bit overpriced. Duck leg was too salty for us. View was absolutely perfect 😍

The place is relaxing with an Awesome view of the Takapuna beach facing Rangitoto Island. The food is beautiful, flavours, presentation, textures, mwah! The service, the team work, great deliveries.

Nice restaurant. The oysters of the day were nice and fatty. Duck confit burger is very rich. Loved the whipped goat cheese and broccoli. Prices aren’t shown, but beer was 14$ so I wish I would of just spent a few more on a cocktail
