Good place to hang out, convenient location but parking can be an issue. Food is okay service is quick. The place is clean which is a big plus.

The staff were great, fast and efficient service. The food was delicious, reasonably priced and very generous servings. Highly recommend the ribs and the mixed grill.

Staffs are friendly. Above average quality food also reasonable price. They do lunch special ($18.50 or $21.50 with drinks) and daily special everyday. I love their seafood/meat platter ($39.50 to share between two or three) and the Wild Buck lager (very cheap when you pop in at their Happy Hour)! It's one of my favourite place to hang out with friends after work. 👍👍

Excellent beer, food, staff and atmosphere. Comes with a pool table and a few gambling games if that's what you're interested in.

Have been here a few times, good range of beer on tap and decent food. Lots of screens showing various sports channels. Had a really good steak on last visit but kitchen closed before 9pm so couldn't get a dessert. Location a bit out of the way and not much parking Update: Another good meal, got good dessert also this time and yet again great service from Jessie (sp?), so natural and friendly

Easy parking and good place to meeting, drinking, the food is also very good. Price is reasonable plus the staff are friendly as well. I am highly recommend this place. VH

Great spot for 5 or 6 pints 😉 on drive home from work. Loads of TVs for all sport lovers and a TAB. Staff fantastic too.

We came to dark horse for my mums birthday dinner, while the food was good and the staff were friendly, they wait time was quite long considering it wasn’t overly busy. The food took about 45min to come out which is probably about standard for platters, however I ordered a mojito and it took over 20minutes to be made! Overall the food was good, just really long wait times for simple things.

We had my son's engagement party here. Great location...perfect size venue..yummy food and staff were awesome and couldn't be more accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Staff are extremely friendly and the service has always been second to none. Whenever there is an issue (which isnt often) it is sorted instantly, apologetically and with the minimum of fuss. Great food and atmosphere at an extremely good price point.

Decent food and good size portions. The steak fries are a little underwhelming and food can take a while to arrive. Not much parking available and need to order food at counter. The stone grill food options are pretty cool.

First visit here. Hopeless table service, had to order at the bar. However the food certainly made up for it, it was delicious and the meals were very large. Entree calamari was easily a main meal size. Spicy crumbed chicken Burger was also massive with 2 breasts, huge onion rings and bacon etc. I couldn't finish my meal. Super full. Def would visit again.

Nice little bar close to home, this place has TAB & Pokies if that's your thing, they have sports nights UFC + regularly, easy parking right out front.. the goid is good my favourite is the meat platter and a side of chips 🤤 the menu is really good and caters for everyone! Service is really good staff are very friendly and helpful 😃... They gave an outside area so if you smoke you can sit out there rather than having to go outside in the car park... Will happily go here again for a catch up with friends or for a nice cold beer .. Thanks Jase ...

My favourite is the hot stone grill but I have tried a few others like the delicious burgers and Thai tacos. The food and service is excellent . And they have 2 nights of poker which is well run by nppl and lots of fun. (Sunday and 6pm and Monday at 7pm)

For a pub the food here is 10/10 have tried almost everything off the menu and not one dish was disappointing. Big portions and good price. Always fresh and delicious. Great spot to watch sports and have a drink. Even during busy times like UFC staff are always very efficient.

Wow just called in on the off chance it was as good as the reviews. Got the lunch special ribs. Great ribs and a beer for under $25! Will be back. And recommend you do too.

An ok place for a drink either lunchtime or after work close to the northern motorway. The beer tap selection includes the cheaper Boundary Road, Wild Buck, Asahi & Carlsberg brands. Has a decent TAB lounge, an ATM, a pool table, big screens for watching sports, and about 8 pokie machines that seem to pay ok. The staff are nice and friendly and has an overall good atmosphere. Haven't tried the food but looks ok.

I enjoyed the beef burger, it was quite big size. The chicken burger was a bit spicy. I also enjoyed the wild buck lager. The prices are reasonable!

It has gone downhill since we last visited 3 weeks ago. The staff used to be really friendly and attentive. All we got today was a surly attitude from the bar staff, especially when I asked for my short measure pint to be topped up. Shame as it used to be a regular haunt. Won't be rushing back anytime soon.

It used to be dog-friendly but not any more. Not sure if there is anything else changed. We used to like going there and enjoy the steaks. I’m not sure if I’ll go back and try.

It was just what we were looking for. Hearty pub food. A good selection. Maybe a chicken salad on the menu would be great. Good parking. Friendly staff.

Surprisingly good pub food. We were in Auckland down from the North and we hadn't eaten all day. I saw the sign which said Bar and Grill and thought that it couldn't be too bad. It was surprisingly good food. It is a bar, so no ambience unless you like that, but the food was really good. I had a hamburger and chips. The hamburger was huge! The meat was very good. My husband had venison sliders which he loved. We also enjoyed a pint of cider. All in all a good place to grab lunch or dinner.

Had butter fried prawns and chicken bites(nip) . Food could have been better

No longer my favourite! Service just keeps going down terribly besides the great food! I’ve been eating here for years and have always had the stake with mashed potatoes. They stopped offering that according with the waitress, who refused to ask the chef about it. I asked what it comes in the tacos and instead of answering my with the options she just made a confusing face and kept saying: what do you mean? it was so awkward! Not sure if I’m wanting to come back here at all…

My calamari and salad was a good portion and delicious. Noise was not overwhelming and tables were well spaced

new owners didn't know what a woodstock was one barperson who was serving me took off out the back heaven knows why, some oldish lady appeared five times asking her for a woodstock she just looked blankly at me. Thank goodness for the Chef who pointed it out. Then came the confusion on the till to find it so i could pay over 5 minutes with me telling them it comes under RTD. Really need bar staff that know what they are doing instead of leaving customers standing at the bar while they are the only person on serving ,was busy wiping down the bar ignoring me everytime i went up for a drink

Alright for a sports bar, though some of the design inside means you can't see a screen, and some TV's were off (maybe broken?). Food was reasonably priced, big portions, good fish & chips & fairly quick service on a very busy night.

Recently had a 21st event here, the whole staff were very accomodating and the food was delicious! Even in the preparations they were very insightful with helping us with the details.
