My experience at this establishment was extremely disappointing. They promote themselves as a Luxury Internet Cafe with Karaoke, but both of these claims are intentionally misleading. What's even more frustrating is that they only reveal the nonexistence of the Internet Cafe service after you've made a payment, essentially trapping customers into an unwanted purchase. My husband and I were left feeling deceived when we realized that the service we paid for didn't even exist. Moreover, the room we were assigned was in deplorable condition. The walls had holes, wiring was exposed, and the ceilings were dirty, among several other issues. The lack of sanitation for the microphones and the absence of protective covers raised hygiene concerns. The furniture appeared cheap and poorly maintained — These conditions could potentially pose health risks to unsuspecting customers. Language barriers with the owner became problematic since all the Karaoke equipment was in Chinese. Instead of offering assistance, the owner of the establishment shows impatience with any confused customers. Our overall experience was deeply unsatisfactory, and the fact that we couldn't secure a refund added to our disappointment. We decided to leave just thirty minutes into our session, at which point the owner questioned us in a condescending manner, attempting to dissuade us from leaving.

The rooms are large and the price is reasonable. However, even when simply calling to make a booking the staff were rude and impolite. To me it seemed the moment I spoke English the person I was speaking with became annoyed. This was true when we arrived in person as well. The manager seemed annoyed, and impatient with us. I tried my best to be friendly and helpful but it was like he didn't want us there. My friends and I felt very uncomfortable, and it seemed to me to have racist undertones.

We are literally 4 min late to our booking and they already had a group in our room who had clearly been there a while. They told us on the phone there was a 15 min grace period and the service man lied and said they hadn’t said that. Wouldn’t bother giving them your money

Literally the worse karaoke place in AUCKLAND CBD!!! Do not waste your money here. The customer service was awful, we were given attitude only because we couldn’t find the toilets, it was difficult to find songs because everything is in Chinese, the rooms are not sound proof so you can literally hear other people singing from your room. Drinks are well over priced and when our time was over the worker barged in and turned the lights off saying “okay you can leave now” instead of kindly informing us that our time was done. If you are looking for a good karaoke bar go to Beyond Karaoke- Hobson street! 100x better.

Expensive for few people to enjoy, all customers are being monitored through the CCTV in every unit. You never know if someone kissing or singing, the karaoke staff or the owner can use it for any other profit.

Owner did not give us a good experience, the microphones died 3 times in the 1 hour period. Waiting for a total of 15 minutes for the microphones to charge and was no compensated for the time lost. Was then changed to another room because the screen wasn’t working. The whole keyboard is in Korean so with out a translator you have to ask the staff to change song or fix the screen

If I could rate this 0/5 I would. I called on a Friday night and asked for a room for 4. We also asked if they required ID as we had a minor with us. We wanted to get a room but he insisted we needed ID. His replies were so rude and just when I was about to reply back and say “oh that’s okay” as we had a minor. He said “you guys don’t want the room, oh okay bye” and hung up. Rude and do not recommend!!!

ruined the birthdays plans of nine people because we weren’t all 18+. we weren’t even drinking alcohol and we still weren’t let in. all in all a disappointment and a waste of money

This was really disappointing, we called before hand to ask about pricing and opening hours. The Man that answered did not give clear details and kept cutting us off while we were trying to ask him wuestions. He was racist, he said "ok dont call back if you aren't you coming" and then hang up on is, we were just asking for the prices and the room type. I was really embarrassed because i was taking my cousins who were here in nz for the time and this was how they treated us.

Have come here many times and whilst it's not exactly luxury, it's a great place to do Karaoke. It's always the same guy behind the counter and he's great to deal with. The bottles of wine here are handy and well priced.

Came by after dinner without booking and was able to get a 2 hour session. The room we were in looked a bit dirty, as with the couch. They have a few large booklets for song selections, you pick the number and input it into the remote. You could try and look for something on the computer but it would cover a large portion of the TV. Many of the songs we did didn't have the exact rendition of the songs so unless you knew it really well you could easily miss where you're at. The selection itself was ok albeit a bit on the old side.

Place was filthy, and not even an internet cafe as advertised on the sign upon entry, we went in anyways because an hour of karaoke sounded fun anyways, I thought for 30 dollars and a place calling itself “luxury” would be Luxury, I was wrong. There was a hole in the wall, grime on the ceiling, a crack in the door and exposed wiring. Actually the worst karaoke bar in town. If you wanna go to a good karaoke, go to Newmarket malls one or the event cinemas Timezone kiosks. An actual waste of money that I won’t get back sadly. It is very run down and just awful.

Worst Karaoke bar ever. They are very rude, unfriendly and if your just a bit late for your booking they don't even hold it, expect a money transfer for deposit and won't refund. How do you even operate your business this way. It's got a bad atmosphere and rundown. They wouldn't let our daughter in who was 18 but didn't have ID and was with her mum.

This place does not take its bookings seriously. The karaoke group in front of us got to have the room for 15 minutes over their time, while our group had to wait while the staff was to afraid to clear out the room for us. We had booked the room in advance, but still had to wait for 15+ minutes to get the room we already paid for.

The older man behind the desk is so disrespectful. How can you be that old and not understand basic customer service. You need to reassess how you treat people. When making the booking he was extremely rude on the phone. It's a karaoke bar, stop being so bloody miserable and let your hair down.

Good air conditioning usually and quality of sound and mics very good. Song selection is good and updated. Sometimes you can get an English control panel which is rather rare for karaoke places. A fair price for group rooms and usually friendly service.

Booked for a large group after another place canceled us last minute. Was a little apprehensive after reading the reviews however we had a great time here! We found the people friendly and helpful and will definitely be back. A great place to get your night started.

We arrived two minutes late and the staff were extremely rude to us… We even called the place when we were on the way there to let them know we were running 2 minutes late, and they said its fine, but when we arrived, they refused to take us in. We pleaded with them since it was a friend's birthday. Bookings here are not taken seriously. Do not recommend this place!

Does the trick for Kareoke, machines are fairly easy to operate and the rooms are Large with couches.

Quirky little place helpful staff, great sound and english song selections

Didn't order food so can't review. Group of us were there last Saturday night, this was fun, brings out the inner singer we all wanted to be at some point when we were growing up. Its something different and it killed an hour. we always have a great time when ever we go.

We turned up a bit late and they were still very accommodating. Good song selection though still missing a few newer ones that are getting popular. Let us get the last song out to the finish and didn't interrupt us as the timer hit zero :) 10/10 will go again

If you are making a booking and they ask for a deposit please note it is NON-REFUNDABLE. No matter what happens, fault on your end or theirs, you won’t be getting your money back. If you’re running late you MUST let them know in advance, not that it matters if you call them, you won’t get your deposit back, they just want to know if they can give your room to someone else. Also make sure every person in your group takes physical ID with them, even if your group is not consuming any alcohol, otherwise you will be told you can’t enter. LOL. If you’ve been to Luxury Karaoke a million times before and they’ve let you in with a ‘copy’ of your ID shown from on your phone (yes its happened to me too) don’t do that around the BOSS because he claims they have never let anyone in without physical ID. (Lies, I’ve been let in before. Showed the guy at front desk a photo I took of my ID and it was OK) anywho, staff needs to be trained better or trained again. website needs to be updated with all policies so customers can read prior to booking and not find out on the night, after paying a deposit and travel fees to get there.

Went in a group of 4, got one of the smaller rooms. Room was nice and clean, toilets were a little sketchy but still usable. A good selection of songs in different languages: English, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Russian, Thai and even Filipino. Didn't have a wide selection though, but we managed to fill up our 2 hours with enough songs. Staff were friendly and polite. Didn't try the food, all we could see were snacks that were available.

Average experience. We turned up (12 people) for a fun end of year jam and it was meh. Couldn’t order drinks at 4:30pm, faulty air con, and grumpy staff guy lol. Won’t be back.

The guy was just rude. He was going to let a group of more than 20++ people in and they were sneaking in more than what they allowed. We all had IDs but a friend had he resident card from her country which is an id issued by the govt but wasn’t allowed in but he just saw my friends us visa and it was okay?? We went to Vmusic instead. Sad and disappointing experience

Great venue, but one 1 toilet available for each gender, so often had to wait 😅

This was alot of fun. Would be better to go in a group. $40 per hour. Cute little rooms. Disco lights.

Great night out updated song lists make sure to book if feiday/Saturday night as they get pretty full!

Really enjoyed my team event here recently, good service. When extended for another hour, we were given an extra 30mins on the house.

A reliable karaoke place in Central Auckland with a book of English language songs to choose from. 8 of us had a room fit us for $65 per hour. Not cheap but the best choice for an easy fun night.

This place probably has the best acoustics of all the karaoke places I've been to so far :) Decent prices too. Only real letdown was no soju available (at least when I visited)

Great easy place to find on Queens. Staff are friendly allowed us to book last-minute but only problem was it took us 15mins to figure out how to use the karaoke machine because it’s all in Chinese and when I ask for more time due to that problem he made me pay extra to stay longer. Other than that nice place

We had the best time! The staff member was friendly and helpful. The studio and our room in particular was clean, spacious and air conditioned!... Importantly.... there is a really great selection of pop songs to choose from which can be chosen by title or singer/band... We also thought the value for price was also really good in comparison to where we live. Now we've been, we will definitely go back again... and highly recommend to anyone who loves to sing... Thanks Luxury Karaoke Bar for providing such an awesome service!

Had a really excellent experience here. Our IDs were checked...very quick process. The room was spacious (we had 5 people), great selection of songs to choose from. Staff were helpful and microphone covers were provided upon request. When we went, there were many people. Bathrooms were clean when we were there, and the place was well lit (I expected it to be quite dark based on the reviews). The only thing was that the drinks and snacks were quite pricey

Place was a bit dirty like floors hadn't been sweeped or vacuumed in a while. There was seven us the price was $10 per person. When it came to ordering our drinks (we had just come from a bar up the road and had been drinking) the owner informed us that they weren't serving alcohol. We asked for a refund to which he declined, so we sat n tried to find us a song to sing but without alcohol it just wasn't the same.
