Lovely atmosphere and great location for bottomless frose! We had a good time however left hungry… we are disappointed with the amount of food you get especially because in the past it was only $50 for bottomless froze AND a foot long pizza per person. This was our first time in Auckland and so we booked because of this great sounding combo. However this time we paid $60 each and we each only got 1x piece of chicken, 1x calamari, 1x piece of bread, 1x small cob of corn and a small bowl of fries between 4 - pricier & way less food. We expected more for the price considering previous places we have been to for bottomless brunch includes a full meal each. We did mention this to the staff and the main reason they stopped this is food wastage which we completely understand, however it would make sense to start off small with a platter and then offer guests more food if they would like

Wasn't a fan of the whole "QR" code order system or like our waiter said, go to the bar and order. Not very professional being a place at the viaduct when you're in the hospitality business and a reputation to hold. Food was ok, the pizza's could have been better and 80% of of our drinks were full of ice and lacked alcohol. The lady serving us although was very friendly and kept asking us if everything was "OK" so kudos to her. But for the price of food and the quantity the restaurant offered, it wasn't worth it. Otherwise, great venue and wonderful views.

Popped in for a few rounds and some seafood. Busy Friday night. Great views of the Viaduct. Food was delicious. Ordered the seafood platter at $98, wasn't a big fan of the raw fish as it had cilantro in it. Not the tahi lol. However, pizza was hot and delicious 😋 fries are quite expensive for a small bowl. The fish burger was honestly the best fish burger I’ve ever eaten!! It was so delicious I can’t even explain. It had the most crispy batter and was perfectly salted. The fish was beautiful and soft, with delicious fries. Warm toasted bun and fresh salad in the burger. The bouncer was super friendly and I actually like the QR code ordering system. Beautiful view from the outside, just a lot of wasps and the service is a little slow but great food and not overpriced considering it’s on the viaduct. Will definitely be coming back perhaps just for the fish burger. Can you tell I liked the fish burger ??

Enjoyed my evening with a big group of colleagues, tables only booked for 2 hrs each so we were moved 3 times 🥺 not too much of a problem as we were always reseated at another table and it is only fair to share the rooftop views around. Bar staff (not the waiters) could be more attentive and fast. Food was nice enough 💗

Location and Views Set up high and looking over the harbour Go here for the atmosphere and views food average. Watch the activity in the water and people along the walkway. Many areas to sit along the edge of the bar, under an umbrella or inside. Serves up good cocktails and cool beers. Service fast and efficient. I had the strawberry margarita which was super refreshing and easy to drink! Kinda dangerous cause it tasted too good, specially on a hot day. We had a few appetizers and they wer good. What doesn’t make the place a 5 star is definitely the service. The place was really busy, and unfortunately none of the servers were able to give us attention when we needed it.

Good drink and food options however waitress' service spoiled our friends outing. We only ordered drinks, 1x beer battered fries and 1x Rudi's fried chicken. Took more than an hour still there was no sign of our easy to cook fried food. When we asked only then the other girl told us kitchen is very behind but we when told her what our order is, she said 10 minutes. Clearly evident the waitress forgot to key in the order for table 13. We will go elsewhere next time.

Roof top restaurant over looking the harbor area. Great food: fish tacos were delicious as was the seafood pizza with a light but crispy crust. Topped off with a beer and wine - perfect Sunday afternoon lunch. Reservations are suggested but if you get there a bit early for lunch or dinner you will probably get in.

What a great atmosphere downtown Auckland! There’s tons of room for everybody to sit and have a fantastic view of the harbor. Great food and beer selections here you’ll enjoy yourself.

Met a Conference group there for function. Excellent food options provided. Beautiful presentation and taste. Very well coordinated with resupplies happening on a regular basis. Great beers too!

The espresso martini and dark n rudi cocktails were high-end in flavour and presentation. The service was efficient and the lady who served us was lovely. We got a seat looking over the viaduct and the interior was well themed. We didn't try any food but the surrounding tables' meals looked fantastic. A very nice experience - would definitely reccomend!

View was great, staff was nice, service was a little slow, so don’t go when you’re in a hurry. The friend chicken sandwich was delicious, and I’d murder someone for another Nutella banana dessert pizza. I’d definitely go back. I mostly wanted to go after reading the google reviews and someone LOST their mind about being kicked out after drinking outside alcohol in the bar, and I loved the moderator’s reply, calling the group out for being terrible customers. I loved it. Full support to business that stand up for their employees ❤️

Have been here a few times. Favourite spot is outside on the deck along the railing. Great water views. You can see the activity with boats and yachts, sip on your drink, taste your delicious meal and converse with great company. Service is fine and bathrooms clean. Security outside do a great job.

It is the most beautiful place to spend on weekends. I could see the sunset very clearly from their place, and it was absolutely memorable. Got some seafood nibbles ( I thought it would be great to eat seafood while looking at the sea) for my drinks, and they were more than enough to enjoy our time. Maybe not very cheap, however, considering where this place is located, the price has a proper reason. It is a very crowded bar and hard to get a good seat, but I had a great time. Looks like many people are booking their tables in advance, so better to book here if you are a group of people.

This restaurant is definitely a top choice in downtown if you're looking to treat your family to a meal out. The food is absolutely amazing, the staff are so warm and welcoming, and even though parking might be a bit tricky, think of it as a chance to take a nice walk after enjoying your delicious meal. My kids absolutely adored this place and the prices are quite reasonable for the quality of food and the inviting atmosphere.

Stopped by for a quick lunch to this second floor bar. Ordered the chicken pizza (which had good heat to it), beef burger, mac and cheese bites, which were very good. Pizzas can be ordered "by the foot" which is roughly 30 cm by 30 cm. To drink ordered the Bubble Boy cocktail and several house beers. Worth checking out.

Visited there recently again and it was a pretty great experience! It’s located by the waterfront making it a prime area for a night out (and makes for some great photos!). You can expect that it will get busy on most nights, but with a small group you can usually get by without booking (although it doesn’t hurt to book beforehand anyways). Every time I’ve been here, the staff have always been pretty cool and happy to help. My recommendation: You can never go wrong with their pizzas and cocktails! The portion sizes of the pizzas are very generous (Can’t speak for many other menu options). But it’s perfect with some drinks and fries while catching up with friends. It all adds to the good vibes. Other things like Water is easy to find, and the venue (including bathrooms) are clean. Can’t complain! Sure, it can get busy at times, but I’d say it’s still a fun experience!

Nice view, nice atmosphere, but the food and service were the opposite. Everything we ordered was overfried. The fish in my fish tacos were tiny and super dry, plus you can see that the lettuce at the bottom were not fresh at all. Even though it was not busy at all when we were there, the staff were so apathetic and unwelcoming.

Great place, great food, great service, great view. The chicken burger was great. The waitresses were very good and did not get any of our orders wrong, they even went and got tests of beer for us. Overall, I definitely recommend.

Great place to hang out by the marina. Their spiced apple cider made in-house and watermelon wheat beer were tasty. Very good food options with a variety of pizzas to choose from. Also, a first for me, a two lane bowling alley in the bar. Never seen that before but I like it!

We weren't terribly hungry but looking for hors d'oeuvres/ snacks. Went through all the options ate the Princes Pier and decided on Dr. Rudi's. So glad we did. We ate outside (and froze my behind off --- I hate the cold and we were even sitting under the heat vent, lol) to enjoy the view! Being from the states, we tried to get as close to American fare as possible. This place nailed the gold ol' burger! The 'dirty sauce' as they called it... soooo good!!! The portion of a single patty and some fries was perfect! The customer service in this place was second to none! They all worked together to provide a superb customer experience! They impressed me most when another customer said she was cold.... The staff brought her a Sherpa blanket! Won't see a restaurant in the states do that!!! Hands down... highly recommended!

We had a really nice date night at Dr Rudi's. This is a lively spot and a great place to view the sunset if you can get a seat outside. We had the wings and a flatbread pizza, both were delish.

My friends and I visited for dinner, and we loved the place! The atmosphere was lovely, and the view was absolutely beautiful. We had a few dietary requirements, and our server went above and beyond to guide us through the menu, making it easy for us to order just what we needed. The staff was awesome—so friendly and accommodating. The food was decent and complemented the whole experience. Would definitely recommend this spot for a relaxing and enjoyable meal!

Had a great experience here for a quick cocktail and some nibbles. Service was amazing and attentive, the bartender who made our cocktails was so accommodating to our wishes and did an outstanding job. The dishes I saw come out of the kitchen all looked amazing as well!

This was the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant in Auckland. After finishing dinner with friends, we stood outside to wait for another friend who was still inside. Suddenly, the security began physically pushing me down the stairs, claiming I was in the way. I had read other reviews about security staff assaulting customers here, but I never imagined it would happen to me. I’m absolutely never returning, and I sincerely hope the security staff receive proper training on how to treat people. My friends and I are genuinely traumatised by this incident.

I was about to do the queue for entering the bar and they rejected me cause they decided I look suspicious after looking for my kiwi access card. This is discrimination.

Staff were absolutely amazing!! From the beginning the bouncers at the door were nice and friendly and got a staff member to show us our table, from there the service we got was so fantastic and very efficient. We had a work function and despite the rain not letting up, we all had a great time! Our amazing server, Joe was one of the most attentive servers I've ever encountered and was genuinely looking our for our best interests the entire night. He is fantastic. Pizzas are delicious, too. Amazing view on the viaduct and nice drinks. There is an option to order and pay for your drinks online and they will bring it to your table, pretty convenient. Nice music and overall a good experience. Good for a night out with friends, celebrated my birthday here!

Had a groovy vibe with excellent service and food! The atmosphere is perfect for a weekend party night. Had the meat lovers pizza and it was fantastic. If it doesn't rain you can enjoy the outdoor seating. We didn't have a reservation and it didn't cause any issue. Would definitely go there again.

Was there for a work team bonding, great vibes, friendly and good humour staff, responsive service, food is great and I like that they do delicious fusion type pizzas, the calamari and sliders are amazing!

Amazing location on the Auckland Viaduct with spectacular water and boat views. Very busy and vibey atmosphere (even on a Wed) with a mini tenpin bowling lane at the back for the punters. Service was fine. Food was good, but very much pub food with very limited healthy salad and vegetable options. I had a pizza slab.

$59/person for bottomless brunch The brunch came with all the food pictured (2 pizzas, 2 hips, bread, dip, chicken wings, fried broccoli, and calamari). Vegan options were provided for the pizzas which were very yummy Highly recommend!

Ok place, not exceptional, the vegetarian pizza was amazing, the meat lovers pretty average and boring. BBQ wings, not so great, spicy wings great.. so bit of a mixed bag, the lowlight was paying $15 for a tiny glass of Tiger, so disappointed. Atmosphere was good, loud music but staff we like buses, either not attentive or two turn up together

Where shall I begin? I am obsessed with Dr. Rudi’s! From the view to the food and cocktails, it’s definitely a must-try! We had the Summer Salad, fish and chicken burger and each dish was so delicious! We also tried the bottomless frosé (strawberry and piña colada flavours) and they were soooo good!! Also had exceptional service from Brenna (not sure of spelling!) and will definitely be coming back in hopes to be served by her again! Everyone else was also so friendly and welcoming which made the overall experience so pleasant. Thank you for the lovely experience, Dr Rudi’s! Highly recommended!!

Popped in for the weekday burger and beer deal. $30 for a burger and a beer. Good beer! Pilsner was lovely! The beef burger was great. Good amount of pickles and sauce with a juicy patty and fluffy brioche bun. Highly recommend!

We held our DSV Christmas Function at Dr Rudi's on Friday. Awesome experience for the team. Perfect location overlooking the boats at the viaduct. The staff were amazing especially our event manager for the night. The food was excellent. It is excellent value for money. Thanks team for making our event a success.

Beautiful view. Even off peak this places outdoor seating is packed and it makes it difficult to move around. The vibe ain't amazing here and the drinks are OK so I'd skip unless you were a 18 year old white girl sipping frose for the grams.

My mother and myself chose to come here for a few hours before we boarded our cruise ship. To say the staff here are good would be a huge understatement. As soon as we walked in, we got offered to have a seat while they held onto our big bags we were lugging around. The staff were lovely, bright and very attentive to our needs. They even went above and beyond and let us keep our bags there whilst we went for a quick 10 minute walk! (Something many other bars would not of done) the drinks were delightful and the food even better. Couldn't recommend this place enough! Absolutely beautiful bar, view, atmosphere and staff. Good work Dr Rudi staff, you've outdone yourself! If we are ever back in Auckland this will be our go to spot for sure :)

We attended the “bubbles on the balcony” New Years Eve event. Perfect view of the harbor with plenty of space. We were pleasantly surprised at how much food they served, and we are Americans. We had an absolute blast. Highly recommend!

The view from the top of the restaurant is great. This place is usually full booked, it’s better to book your table rather than just walk in.

My family and I are staying in Auckland (Saint Mary's Bay) for a week on holidays. I ate dinner at Dr Rudi's tonight, the food was amazing we ordered the 3ft meat lovers pizza to share. Our server for the evening was Nenah who is lovely, she was full of information and smiles. Nenah has great customer service skills with attention to detail. I highly recommend Dr Rudi's for your next visit to Auckland.

Had an AMAZING experience. The staff were fun friendly and made us feel so comfortable. The food was great! If you want the spiciest Jalapeño poppers, definitely try theirs!! We were seated on the balcony overlooking the Marina with the sun setting, an absolute treat. The cocktails were amazing, even the “Bartenders choice” was delicious! Can not recommend highly enough

Disappointing experience. I booked a month in advance for my best mates hens do lunch. I asked for an inside table as well and they said that was fine. When arriving we had a table that was on the deck and it was cold and raining. The booking was for 17 girls and 3 of them couldn’t make it but there still wasn’t enough room for all of us on the table. No one came to serve us and after 20 minutes of trying to use the barcode we asked someone to come over and they told us it wasn’t working. Another 10 minutes later I had to wave someone down to take our order. The rain got worse and all of us got wet. The staff did help by moving the table more in and closing the blinds/doors unfortunately there were leaks in the roof and we were still getting dripped on. The staff said they could set up a table inside and we moved there but again unfortunately there wasn’t enough room. We were seated right next to the bathrooms and had to keep moving as we were in the way anytime someone needed to use the bathroom. Because of all the moving around most of our meals were cold and drinks were still coming out after we had our meals. Some of us including myself had to leave earlier so had to get our food takeaway. In saying all this I completely understand that the weather is out of anyone’s control and no one’s fault. But I booked a month in advance, the table wasn’t inside and not big enough for all of us. There was no service and was just a mess. There was no compensation either.

Me and my parents all enjoyed nice foods with wonderful atmosphere! Especially waitress was so kind who recommended spinachy pizza and it was also great! Thank you for everything! I will recommend to my friends in S.Korea when I go back from traveling. Hope to visit again someday when I comeback to New Zealand.
