Nice clean park with many areas to sit and rest whether on the grass under a shade or in benches. It is a good area for an exercise in walking or jogging along the paths. Definitely one can relax here too :)

I love it here. It's an awesome park with majestic trees, beautifully kept lawns, and the wonderful winter gardens. The views are terrific over the city, but the best view is of the iconic museum. If you have very little time to spend in Auckland, go here!

Took my in-laws here, they love it. So much history to know and experience. Really details. The staff are so welcoming and helpful. Love the vibe. My favourite part is where the volcano is level 2. Thanks to everyone who keep this museum clean and tidy. Don't forget to take a walk at the front for a fresh air and experience the wonderful view to the city and north shore.

I love it here. My son enjoyed our tour esp. when he saw the dinosaur bones and he also played with some interactive games found inside. There's a lot of things to see and explore inside the museum and it's worth it. For a tourist we have paid for 28 nzd per person and my son is free as he is still 3 yrs old. If you are a resident in NZ then it is free of charge.

The Wintergarden is absolutely beautiful. The plants and scents are just wonderful. Very calming space, walking around, and taking the beauty of the flowers in.

Really good place to go for walks/jogs, especially during weekends. If you go really early, you'll find plenty parking, free upto 3 hours. Lots of things to do, including eateries around the area. You could even decide to go to the Auckland Museum, which is free to Auckland residents. Our just sit on the steps and enjoy the view of the harbour or the city.

We went for Sunday drive to Auckland domain winter gardens as we had our wedding photos taken their 24/12/1960. Surprise of surprises it’s still exactly the same backdrop! A wonderful time was spent here, noticed cat still up the pole! Flowers and foliage are absolutely beautiful as is the Fern display! Would recommend to anyone wanting to reminisce and see some beautiful Plants and flowers to visit. Arthur CHARLTON West Auckland

About a 2-3 hour walk out from Chateau Tongariro. It's a round walk through bush, across open areas with great views returning through more Bush and along a river. Easy walking with some ups and downs. Fantastic falls and well worth the walk. This is part of the Taranaki Falls walk and has NOTHING to do with Auckland Domain.

On 31/12/2023, my husband and I went to Auckland Domain for countdown with fantastic firework display. We arrived there at around 11pm and there were lots of cars parking near the Museum securing their best spots for watching fireworks at Sky Tower. Despite a bit of cloudy weather, we still enjoyed the amazing fireworks which sparked the beginning of a far better and prosperous New Year for all of us. We highly recommend you to go there and enjoy the countdown on the last day of this year!

I've been coming to The Domain several times a month for the past 5 years and I still discover something new about it. It's the most beautiful and peaceful place and the gardens and flowers are absolutely lovely. Come and enjoy a little out of this world peace-and-quiet here close to the center of the city :-)

Love it here, it is amazing we have such a wonderful and green space to enjoy in the heart of the city. The grounds are kept very well. I would like to see the open sports fields changed back to native bush with a bush walk though. Then it'd be a 5 star.

Amazing display of a T-Rex, very cool to see one in New Zealand!! Parking was super easy (not sure you are meant to park on the grass, but every other car was also parked on the grass, maybe it's accepted during busy times). Many interesting displays to look at for young kids and also plenty to keep adults occupied. Floor signage/arrows would make navigation better and help with the flow of foot traffic.

Was really excited about going to the Egyptian exhibit but it was too expensive. The rest of the museum was amazing though, surprisingly good but I really wish I could have gone to the special exhibit. The pricing on the website was a bit difficult to understand and the donation was a bit weird. Also had a drink at the cafe at the front and it was really good but had to wait to get a table on a Saturday morning. There were other places to buy coffee in the museum so wish I had got one at a quieter cafe

I am here in NZ for a 4 week holiday. There are a couple of things that were on my list that had to be done. One was to go to the Auckland Domain, the Museum. Apart from the Maori exhibition, I wanted to take a photo on the steps next to one of the columns. A photo was taken of me approximately 57 years ago on the same step.

the Domain is one of Aucklands great treasures. The Winter Gardens are stunning and full of interesting and familiar/ unfamiliar plants, if you gave the good fortune to meet a staff member they will be able to give you alot of information about the plants in the hot houses... seriously worth a visit

If you walk round the edge, it's about 3km. I really like the mix of parkland and level pavement, and quite frankly amazing bush paths, considering you're a short walk to the central city. There's a big museum for a couple times a year, but the park is daily pleasure.

The Auckland Domain is a beautiful, green, open space near the centre of the city. It is a lovely place to relax, exercise, take in the views or visit the War Memorial Museum. The Domain is located on one of Auckland’s dormant(hopefully 😊) volcanic cones.

Auckland Domain is naturally beautiful all year round offering a number of venues and scenic pleasure such as the Auckland Museum, WinterGarden, Cafe's, Sport Fields and Walkways for Runners, Families and Dog Lovers to walk their beloved Pooch, and for Duck Lovers there is also a Pond Walkway to scatter seed/bread for the ever thankful flock of birds and ducks that reside there. Pics taken at the WinterGarden and along the Pond Walkway.
