This has become my favourite place to stay in downtown Auckland. It's not the most updated hotel, but it's clean, quiet, has amazing views of the city and harbour, friendly staff, free parking, spacious rooms and is superb value for money in a great location. We had breakfast and dinner in their restaurant which provided a good selection at affordable prices with very friendly service.

Really enjoyed our stay here. Really big room for $200. Two big beds and a lounge room with a fold out double too. Full kitchen and bathroom. great view of city, black out curtains and an easy walk from Spark Arena to the concert. Nice Parnell eatery options are 5-10min walk. Fab.

Its a good hotel, central location, close to amenities, however just a couple of minor things, hotel reception on arrival could have been a better service with perhaps a smile & less attitude from the female behind the counter, there was no complimentary milk, had too walk down to reception to have this picked up myself! The room was very spacious which made up for the experience, overall it was okay.

We were allocated a room in a separate block to the main building, which more closely resembles a motel, with covered outside walkways to the rooms and you can handily park your car just outside. There is a nice restaurant between in the same way 2 buildings, which opens for breakfast if you don’t want to prepare your own. It is situated in a quiet residential area out of the city centre, which helps a good nights sleep, but does mean that is quite a walk to the centre if you haven’t got or don’t want to use your car. We booked a King Bed Studio room and were allocated number B33, which was spacious and had a separate ‘kitchenette’ and bathroom. Everything was well maintained and very clean. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful in planning our visit to the city.

Good hotel for conferences if you don't spend a lot of time in the room. It's basic but has everything you need for a fair price and the restaurant has great food. The area around the hotel is walkable and a nice and safe neighborhood. Service is reliable and staff friendly. Public transportation is also available (5-10 min walking). They have a taxi service for the airport which was cheaper than the taxis at the airport. Overall definitely worth it and would go there again.

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending four delightful days at this exceptional hotel. Our overall experience was truly outstanding. The cleanliness of the hotel left a lasting impression, and its proximity to the city, being just a 5 to 10-minute drive away, added great convenience to our stay. One notable feature was the availability of free parking, a significant advantage for travelers. The ease of parking certainly contributed to the overall positive experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a clean, convenient, and welcoming place to stay. We look forward to returning on our next visit.

This hotel is a bit old but the price is right and there is free parking. It feels more like a motel with doors opening to the outside. Staff is friendly and the restaurant is good. Not many other restaurants around that are easily walkable, most are at least 15-20 min walk. It's a nice location outside off the craziness of the CBD but close enough to everything you want to do. A bit noisy with random sounds at times. Comfortable.

I stayed at the Parnell Hotel the last time I was in Auckland, and It was the best accommodation experience. The room, service, and restaurant were amazing! It's very convenient to take a super shuttle from/to the airport! I loved the location, it's close to the city, but in a very peaceful neighbourhood. You can have a busy day in the city and then relax afterwards in the hotel, or maybe dine in one of the charming restaurants in the Parnell Rd. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Auckland.

Frontdesk people was so polite. Rooms were tidy and air conditioning worked wonders, walkable distance to and from the city center and was just amazing to stay at! Would recommend to anyone who is deciding to stay here

An older hotel with a quality renovation, and a restaurant with fair priced and good quailty food! The Parnell had fantastic staff, from the counter staff, the room cleaners and the wait staff, all were friendly and professional. Our stay was very enjoyable, and if you have breakfast, try the German Farmers Breakfast, I found it a delicious way to start the day.

One of the best places we have ever stayed at. Clean , good sized rooms with everything provided. Plenty of parking and great location. Nice food and reasonably priced restaurant also.

The conference room is used for soul church that meets every sunday at 10am, its a warm atmosphere for family and all ages that want to meet with other believers. Come, you will not be dissapointed as my best mate speaks and ministers.

A very nice place to stay. Meals are brilliant and priced at very reasonable rates. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Would recommend .

As reasonable priced hotels go, this one is punching above its weight. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with nice touches like heated towel rail and mirror, decent size TV, and a bottle of real milk in the fridge for your in room tea or coffee. It has a restaurant that I only used for breakfast, but the breakfast buffet is definitely better than any other I've had in Auckland for years, and the menu options were good, too. The room walls are perhaps a little thin, so my colleague, who is a light sleeper, said he found it a little noisy, but I had no such problems myself.

Excellent place to stay. Plenty of parks, great central location to the city. Easy enough to get a quick uber ride into town without worring about parking. Stayed here twice now and was satisfied both times especially with the restaurant being on the same site.

Absolutly perfect way to start our trip in new zealand. Perfect apartment overlooking harbour, well equipped. Easy parking and access to apartment.

A spacious, spotlessly clean property with great service. The photos didn't do this hotel justice. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, the whole apartment was larger than we were expecting, with plenty of room to spread out. The main bedroom had 2 queen beds and was decorated beautifully. The one bed we used was very comfortable. The kitchen, while dated, was well stocked and had plenty of cooking equipment and a decent sized fridge. The location is perfect, convenient to the CBD, Parnell, Newmarket and surrounding areas. Plenty of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Great friendly service from the reception team. In fact it was this service that meant we stayed. I had a change of plan which meant I was looking for somewhere in Auckland to stay at short notice. I emailed on a weekend evening and received an almost instant response!!!

Great location, close to Viaduct Harbour and city centre. There are lots of great cafes and restaurants nearby. Our room was clean and easy to get around. There are plenty of car spaces, but even if they are all taken, you can park on the main road. Staff were very professional and helpful.

To add some details, no screen sharing option to TV, curtains weren't black out, loads of light around the edges, had been at Quest the night before which by comparison was alot better. However good location close to loads of food options.

Had our engagement party there, pretty good overall. Staff listen to our needs and delivered as requested. Can't recommend them high enough. Their staff know what they doing when it comes to planning weedings and event. Food was ok 3 out of 5. Rooms have nice view and room service is good. However its a bit outdated Overall our experience was amazing thanks to the staff.

always enjoy staying at the Parnell Hotel, it's a great location near the CBD but also handy to Newmarket. The rooms are modern, clean and spacious and a nice restaurant so you can stay in and enjoy their hospitality.

Pretty good place. Nice room but the "Luxury Balcony" is a ground floor view a parking lot. Still a nice room though.

great view from the top and good service, restaurant had great food, the music was ok in restaurant perhaps they could play more client based music for us 50 plus instead of todays hip hop music, and we were there in Anzac week, maybe they could have played some old war era music just to remind us kiwis what the Anzacs gave up for us, but that's such a small thing, all in all we enjoyed our stay and two meals very muchly, greatly appreciated

Grabbed a deal and it exceeded expectations. Easy free parking compared to trying to find a park in CBD. Great location, central to most things. Room was comfortable.

Nice stay. The room was spacious and tidy. Bathroom was nice and clean. We had a small balcony that had a nice view of the city and sky tower. Building is a little dated but no issues. The lady that looked after us at reception was friendly and helpful. Breakfast is available to purchase at Gladstones which is just on the other side of the car park, both buffet and a la carte options available.

The room on the 4th floor was amazing. It was so spacious and the view fantastic. Staff were very helpful. The restaurant food is so damn good and very very reasonable priced. Staff also great. I wld recommend this as the best place to stay. It's close enough to everything that a taxi is cheap to get there. Fantastic place!!!

The photos didn't do this place justice. We found the room to be much larger and more spacious. The kitchen was well stocked and had plenty of cooking equipment for the basic food we were cooking. The beds were very comfortable and everywhere was clean and tidy. The bathroom must have been redone recently as it was in excellent condition. We had a lovely view towards the docks and city.

Our family if 5 (mum, dad and 3 kids) were here for 3 nights. We were very impressed with our room. The layout and view was lovely. The meals in the on-site restaurant were also value for money and delicious. Half price kids buffet breakfast was value for money for us. We plan on coming back for another stay in the future and will 100% be staying here again!

Top notch service here, make you feel so welcome and supported. Great location away from downtown but with easy access to most things in the area, lots of walkability around the area. Rooms were awesome as well. Only thing that could have made the rooms a bit better was the addition of a cheese grater for cooking. But all in all great hotel and experience.

Our room was very spacious, two king beds, separate sitting area. Nice view overlooking the City and harbor with balcony. Full kitchen with large fridge, nice bathroom. Check-in was easy and people very nice. Wi-Fi was pretty decent. We were able to store our suitcases at the hotel on our last day of departure and walk around town since our flight did not leave until evening.

We stayed here on our first and last day in Auckland. Parnell is a lovely neighborhood with lots of places to eat and shop. There is laundry onsite if you need it and the restaurant isn't bad either. Staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome during our stay!

Nice spacious room, a bit out of way of town but still nice hotel. Warning: The hotel's on a slope so be sure you're good with walking a steep hill if you have a room that's lower down. If you have problems walking I suggest talking to the hotel in advance. Room: The room was large, we had two king beds, a sizeable living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Room cleaning service is only after the 3rd day but you don't really need it until then usually. Location: Beware! Check the elevation! It's hilly terrain here so small distances will take longer than you would expect. I do not suggest taking public transit with luggage to/from here as it's quite a walk down the hill to the bus/metro. But it's a good workout when you want to walk into town. I wouldn't suggest driving yourself in town as traffic is crawling for a good chunk of the day, but it's cheap to do a ride sharing app and there's plenty of drivers for say Uber less than 10 minutes away. You can walk one way to/from town but it's like a mile (3km) of hilly terrain. Walking both ways would be a workout but sorta fun! Luggage hold: We had a flight leaving in the evening and they were able to hold our luggage for the day until our check in time. Breakfast: We bought the breakfast package: it's a highly convenient buffet at the restaurant co-located with the hotel/conference center. The breakfast is better than a holiday inn. It's a buffet and decently priced for the quality. You can get eggs (just poached though, no scrambled), bacon, grilled tomatoes, baked beans, pastries, a large hash brown pancake, toast, croissants, muesli type cereal, normal cereal, tea, coffee, fruit salad, yogurt, and some other stuff I've forgotten. Overall pretty good, you can get enough food to fill you up.

Excellent location & view! Clean tidy facilities and very comfortable beds. Very quiet. Could do with updating but for the price it was great. Great for friends to share an apartment or a small family group. Would definitely consider returning. Walking distance to spark arena alternatively loads of public transport, Uber or scooters available. Restaurant on site for those who require it also & bonus of free parking!

We booked a room with a view and it certainly delivered. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly, fast and efficient. Great coffee at Gladstones cafe next door. We really enjoyed exploring the restaurants and shops in Parnell. There is parking at the hotel but as we didn’t have a car we enjoyed public transport into the city.

I was a little dubious when I pulled up in the cab, however, from walking through the door, the staff could not have been any nicer. Absolutely amazing staff. Room was lovely and clean and very spacious. We were here during the floods and the beautiful receptionist even took us to the train station as there were no taxis. Thank you so very much for a lovely experience.

What a great place to stay while in AUCKLAND. My wife and I stay here every time we come to Auckland, friendly and helpful staff, fantastic rooms and the view is excellent lookin towards Auckland and the harbour. Recommended to one and all. Yes everything was perfect.

We stayed here in a standard king room for a show at spark arena. Good size, clean and quiet for the size of the place and it was completely full. Nice renovated bathroom, but my only complaint is the shower door didn’t seal properly so after a shower I came out and the water had run from the bathroom to the bedroom and touched the carpet. It was about to run out the door. We used all the towels to mop it up and had to ask for more the next day. Other than that, great place and we will definitely return.

Staying for two nights and first evening asked reception for the milk for the next morning coffee. Reception denied and said they will place tomorrow morning by them self. Today when i came back to the hotel called reception to inform that yesterday your staff said they will place milk in the room today. But nothing is here. They said you can come at reception to grab. We can not send. I told them yesterday you denied and and said you will send someone in the room in the morning. Personally I can't go to the reception to ask something again and again. So I told them to keep your milk I will buy from market. Really disappointed with the standard of this hotel. We travel all over the new Zealand with tour groups but never experienced this kind of third class standard Never again, and not even work with the tour companies book this hotel of tourists
