Great outing for friends. Easy going bar, excellent selection of drinks and the music was good. Neat entertainment from some of the drag race cast. A variety of seating options, the perches on the street offer a relaxing place to watch the world walk by. A large open plan bar inside and then a snug plus a garden bar. The staff are very friendly.

I love this place. Thursday karaoke is so much fun. The vibes on the weekend are amazing. The staff are friendly, Mo is my favourite, he is friendly. I would highly recommend it.

Cool place... Gays don't have to accept this dirty place across the road which is the Saloon bar. Go to Eagles it's clean, no sticky floors, no horrible toilets, no gambling machines... Equals much better people to hang out with.

I have mixed opinions on this gay bar. First of all, This very nice woman came up to me and we hit it off. We talked for ages but then i noticed something poking out her pants.. She told me she was a ladyboy, Whatever that means? Anyway i don't think i would come her again because my willy is now green. The photo that I'm showing is the ladyboy that made my willy green.

I went a night there, the atmosphere was really good very busy. I was by the bar and suddenly I noticed that one of the crew was throwing ice, what I did not imagen that those ice were thrown to two lady that were dancing on a table or chair, could not see it. I think that isn’t the way to tell someone to “behave”. they were just dancing and having fun, nothing wrong with that, they could have been hit on their face. call me dramatic but once again there is nicer ways to say it. I don’t know if that happen quite often but it should not happen in a place where you must feel safe and secure. 👎

I love Eagle Bar. Its a great place to relax and meet new people and enjoy a laugh with the staff (who are hilarious). Its in a great location to also pop out get a bite to eat with a variety of food and pop back in to see who's put on Pet Shop Boys and started to dance....5 stars.

Classic local gay pub, come to run into someone you know, stay for the Long Island Iced Tea. Peak Friday / Saturday nights can get dragged down by a handful of annoying loud heteros but door staff are generally pretty good at dealing with those who don’t respect queer spaces.

I went to the bar today. I ordered 1 margarita and the bartender made it with a lot of ice. I was at the middle of drinking the guy took it without asking and I said excuse me. He walked away without hearing me, so I came to spoke the girl manager. She said she will talk to the guy. After talking to the guy they both laughed and didn’t come back to me. I came to the bar to meet her and the. She said there is nothing she can’t do. I was shocked to hear that. I explains to her and she had a Le attitude and told me that they can make another drink for me but I have to Pay for me. I told her that’s not the solution and they kicked me out. I told the hem that “ can I speak to the manager and she said I’m the manager and you’re out. I was extremely shocked and disappointed. I hope I can speak to the business owner because they’re very rude and eagle bar is my favourite.

You will get scammed! I ordered an absinthe on the rocks, and was told it was $10. I paid and received a clear drink that was clearly vodka. I explained that I wanted absinthe. I apologized and prepared to pay the difference. She said it would be $13, and when I went to pay the difference she said no $13 more because she already made the other drink. I didn't know it was my job to police what she was pouring when I was very sober and clearly stated my order. I was solo and only needed one drink. She didn't even apologize. Great atmosphere, but I won't be back.

Really friendly and welcoming venue with great staff, reasonably priced drinks, clean facilities and well made cocktails. Easily my favourite LGBT venue in Auckland.

Had a great time there with my friend and I forgot my satchel that had my laptop in it. The phone number wasn't working but contacting via Facebook they told us they had the satche safe and sound!!! When its not that busy, a great place to sit down, drink and catch up with your loved ones, or your not-so-loved ones. Weekdays are your friend. When the weekend dawns, be prepared to fight for dance space. Great cocktails. Like - the best - on K Road.

If you're gonna serve drinks, which in my understanding is what a bar does, then at least get that one simple thing right. They serve WARM tequila. Come on guys! Do better! Their sound system also sux, lots of distortion.

Walked into the bar off the street and ordered a Tom Collins. It was like getting sucker punched in the face by a lemon. The drink is extremely basic and listed on their menu. However, they did not know how to make the cocktail and the bartender proceeded to squeeze an entire lemon into my drink. The boi was juicy, the drink was 2 parts citrus, 1 part gin, 1 part Tonic. Would not recommend and it was pricey

Thursday night was a virginal voyage personally & was not at all disappointing with DJ Paul & co host Rob organizers of the exclusive weekly Thursday karaoke night with a diverse compendium songs repertoire superior & surpassing Saloon bar's version, which gets your body swaying & toes tapping accompanied by an enthusiastic audience & willing participants. I'm especially impressed by the smooth running & efficiency of the DJ inputting the song requests subsequently forming an efficient song queue & time frame appearing on a flat screen TV on the wall for the audience to see, so user friendly. My only pet peeve is the process should be entirely paper free to save the environment & obviously more effective, moreover digitized. I love this place because the staff are friendly and they play good music (with videos). Interesting people to meet. I've knocked a star off for two reasons. I find the music a little too loud - not so much of an issue when it's later and cranking, but moreso earlier in evening when wanting to chat with people. Also, people standing out front to smoke means it blows right inside.

Friday evening after work and this place was dead. I guess it picks up later 😳
