Meat pies and great selection of local beers! Many beers on draft and you can also get the pie+beer deal (great deal!). They also have many bottled beers to choose from, wines and hard liquor. The food looks amazing, but I have only had their pies. No table service here. Order and pay at the bar and they will bring your food to you when it's ready.

Great brewpub in a charming historic building on cool Vulcan Lane, situated between the ferry terminal and the Auckland Art Gallery. There is an excellent selection of beers on tap, as well as ones in bottles. We ordered a fried chicken sandwich (delicious!) that came with thick cut fries (also delicious!). Barkeeps were very friendly and service was excellent. Highly recommended.

Stopped by for one of the fresh hop beers event in Auckland. We came here since they were one of the few bars that were participating. It is located between Queen and High Street on Vulcan lane. Friendly service and they do have small bites and burgers available. The buttermilk fried chicken was nuggets of chicken served with BBQ sauce. Fairly small pub with seating both inside and out.

Randomly stopped here for a few pints while exploring Auckland; friendly bartenders, great selection of awesome beers, decent prices, staff was constantly picking up glasses and keeping tables clear, and the food ain’t bad for a pub. We ended up coming back a couple more times, especially for the red ipa they had on tap. Place gets quite busy after work hours, good loud bustling vibe. Recommended.

We both had Reuben toasties, which were well priced and pretty tasty. Slightly sharper pickles and more consistent mustard distribution would have made them even better. Recommended.

There are 3 great pub bars in a row in this cute Auckland alleyway. This one definitely gives off the vibe of, if you're not a local, you're not particularly welcome. I had the audacity to ask for 3 samples before I ordered, which apparently meant i didn't know what i wanted, ironically, as i knew exactly what i was looking for. I'm no beer expert, but i am a beer expert. They have a nice selection of about 15 taps, one of which (at the time of writing) was an amazing, outrageous 8% abv peanut beer, which is delicious! The tap beers, while craft, were still quite expensive. Good beer selection, the crowd and the staff could be nicer.

Great craft beer selection. We went on a Wednesday and they were giving away wings with every jug, good ones at that.

One of my favorite spots for the rare pint. Friendly staff and a good mix of regulars and new interesting people to meet. This place has always had a solid pub menu as well. Probably the best bar of it's kind in central Auckland.

Vulcan Lane, The iconic place to be for quick lunch or a cigarette under the tree. You can find burger restaurant, Japanese restaurant in a few pubs here. There are seven public benches What are you to sit down and relax. One thing I notice is that the building has the classic look and design from the early 1930’s - Greek triangles and Roman columns architectural design style.

A nice local pub. Nothing trendy or pretentious, just a good atmosphere, a good range of beers and a good central location.

Great place for a sit down and yarn with your mates over a pint of beer. They've got a great variety of tap beers and will likely always have something on tap that you'll like. There's usually even a couple of ciders too! Early 2022 update: still good chill vibes!

Never seen a place with such a huge selection of craft beer and good food at the same time. The staff helps you finding the perfect beer for you and they also have a nice terrace to enjoy the weather and people walking by. Definitely can recommend this place and would go there again.

Very nice bar in downtown Auckland. Nice staff, great selection of craft beers. Snacks and food in general is very taste. Great place to rest and stay a little while.
