This place is a vibe, I've been going here since I started clubbing when I was 18. I went on Friday night as there was an event on, super excited to get back on the dance floor after the ridiculous mandates and COVID restrictions only to be asked for my vaccine pass. Vaccine pass? I'm sorry haven't the mandates been lifted? Why are you still requiring people to show passes? Unfortunately I will not be going to this establishment ever again as they have decided to discriminate even after it's not necessary to do so. Really disappointed in this guy's, do better.

Had a mate that hosted a party here. After weeks of emails leading up to the day the staff were not prepared at all and closed the venue 40 minutes early without notice. The staff were very unhelpful, rude, and especially money focused. We were told that they would shut down the venue if we didn't purchase $1000 worth of drinks. My mate walked away with a ruined birthday that he'd like to forget and the staff walked away with hundreds of $ they refused to refund at all. I would never recommend Cassette 9 or Wandabar unless you're in the market for a night of dissapointment and expensive mistakes. Your money will be better served at any other bar in the CBD.

2nd time there and the vibe is absolutely amazing. The drinks and food are wonderful. Sound system rocking and the staff lovely! Fun seasonal events and art, can this get any better?

Used to be average price to hangout however, yesterday night the bar guy charge me $16 for vodka and lime bitter !! Rip off !! Not going there again

Staff are rude, and the place hasn't been maintained to keep with the times. There's a reason Ponsonby nightlife has fared better than the CBD.

There was a fee to gain entry into the club but I can't remember how much. Only been here once but this place had a great atmosphere and a great live performance. They serve cocktails in TEAPOTS!! That's epic. Only thing I will say is that the floors and seats were a bit wet in some places. FYI they do also serve food here so be sure to soak up your alcohol with some fries, I'd come here again :))

Had a great time with my bestie at Cassette Nine for our girls night. Live performances was great and so was the food and drinks.

I entered this establishment with friends on New Years eve, it was my first club for the night and ordered vodka/redbull but did not receive any vodka. I was not intoxicated and was still starting the night. The bartender was very rude and only poured in redbull. I was charged $27 for two drinks. The second time we ordered and watched the bartender pour the drinks and confirmed no vodka was added. Yet they still insisted vodka was mixed in. I even gave my drink to others to sip and they confirmed that there was no vodka. I went back to the bartenders and made my complaint but they quickly dismissed me. I advise anyone visiting this bar to film the bartenders because they are trained to scam guests. All you guys had to do was give the vodka I paid for. But nope... now enjoy the MULTIPLE bad reviews that will start rolling in from friends and myself which will remain on your page for life. Hope it was worth it.

The ambience of this place was perfect holding a private room with a bar tender. The club manager was super super helpful, and the bar manager was extremely flexible and accommodating with all of our requests. The guests loved the venue and the drinks, which was the icing on the cake. A big thanks to the staff who were very helpful. We are very grateful to you guys as we couldn’t have asked for more to make my 21st birthday party a more memorable one!

I love those teapots so much. Best drinks ever and best bar ever, and I've worked/been at a few in Ponsonby as well.

Honestly cant really remember. So that must mean it has something going for it right? But in all seriousness what let's it down is the people who "know" the bouncer and the owner and that they can "get you kicked out". If that's the case this place seriously needs to sort out its management and business model

Usually my favourite but must of had a change security. Wasn’t even intoxicated and got kicked out after buying a full teapot. Bouncer tried to say we weren’t allowed alcohol after a staff member poured me a drink. I would like a full refund for my drink purchase. As a duty manger I know a bartender wouldn’t of poured me that drink if I could of had it. Your staff are discriminatory

Iconic venue. The staff were super friendly. The bouncers were pretty strict with ID's so make sure you take one with you. Bob's your uncle is a teapot, a must try.

Can't remember much of this place, but the music that was played by the DJs had me in body pain the next day. Last time I felt like that was back in my younger days.

Nye dj was terrible. Countdown was 2 minutes late and bad mixing and poor music.

Great little dive bar with a very 90s feel, very impressed with the bar staff - super fun drinks and atmosphere. A hidden gem of Auckland.

The teapots are very fun to order, and fun to share. The music is a not really my taste, but it is a fun vibe. Toilets are very clean, four stalls in the females toliet. Service is quick for a club/bar. Don't expect snacks though, ot tales over 30 mins after 9pm. Is a little difficult to see the entrance on the street.

Funky and cool. Nice little hole in the wall in Auckland. Service was fine but nothing to write home about. We only stayed for one drink before heading out for dinner elsewhere...

It's a hit and miss, if you're after some of the finest up and coming live music this is the place to go! However, gigs only happen irregularly, make sure to check on Facebook whether there are any events on. There will definitely be music here every night, just not live music all the time.

Cassette Nine will be my hangout spot whenever I am in New Zealand. My friends and I walked past looking for a place to eat. It was after 9pm so most restaurants were no longer serving food. Moses, the bouncer, gave us some food options then began talking about the establishment, the DJs, the Tuesday international visitors raffle (yes they raffle off excursions and other prizes so visitors so can get to experience NZ for free), etc... we left to find food but returned to check it out. The music was great and we danced the night away. If you go tell Moses we sent you 😊

The music was nice but not the best, check the djs first, maybe that helps

Hip little spot with a great balcony and gorgeous, friendly and helpful staff. They have a pub dog 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 and a wide selection of drinks. I found the teapot cocktails a bit too sweet for my palate but I think they are made to share as shots given the presentation. Worth a visit! (FYI no disabled access)

I liked this place but sound guy had to take notes from an 18yr old lead singer/guitarist who was being drowned out by everything's else.

Lastnight was fun i really enjoyed my first time at a club/event , i met some pretty cool people & the staff are kind, friendlyy & jus awsome , teapot drinks r real yummy n cheap , love the vibe the venue seemed small n a few bathroom issues... that will surely be delt with but despite that cassette 9 is really good place to go for a night out , loved the experience thankyous

Not great layout, couple of tables which quickly get snapped up then nowhere to really put your drinks/stuff. Bathrooms are tiny/locks broken etc. Staff seemed friendly enough.

I had booked and paid for a private venue hire at Cassette but was later informed they could no longer accommodate my party. Fortunately the lovely Natalie has gone above and beyond to find a new venue so my party can go ahead. I can not thank her enough for all her efforts. Wonderful customer service. Thanks so much!
