I am over the moon with service. Im a bar manager and I know if the kids are happy the parents are relaxed and will stay for dessert and Murphys did just that by providing a Lil pack of goodies for our children to enjoy which made mum and dad very happy. The Guiness pie was fricken amazeballs and my snitzel was more like a breast but super juicy. My babies even danced and. Seating arrangement was great super clean and aerated. This is my new Fav place. And as for the staff Monday evening your Tumeke.

(Pictures were taken 3 weeks before level 4 August lockdown) Man what a great feed, the chicken wings and the pizza were incredibly filling despite my huge appetite, paired with a glass of tap beer I couldn’t have asked for a more better combo! Staff were friendly and the wait was not too long despite it being somewhat busy, it was a great and lovely environment! People were cheerful and the atmosphere was lively. Would like to visit again when alert levels drop down in the future. Yum πŸ˜‹

Very impressed with the 4 C's Pizza πŸ• and I had the wedges also... My friend e joyed her open steak sandwich but was a bit odd we had to pay $2 extra for a small bit of Aeoli πŸ§„... The staff were friendly... Our order came out fast...

Had scotch fillet steak, with fries and salad and mushroom sauce. Nice pub feels, no heineken on tap unfortunately. Worth a stop if looking for a simple pub feed.

One of the few Irish bars that actually feel like a real Irish bar. The decor is gorgeous, with an open fire in winter to warm the toes after a long day outside. The food is delicious. I've eaten lunch here twice and both times it was perfect. The staff behind the bar are food craic. Enjoy

Damn good pizza, and service. Dont waste your time with the sports bar next door tho coz they pretty keen to close their door early (rudely in your face!)

We were a bit hesitant to go to an Irish pub for our final night in NZ but we were thoroughly impressed by the service and food at Murphy’s Law. We had the mussels which were huge NZ greenlip mussels and did not disappoint my friend who had never seen such big mussels in her life!!!! I had the fish and chips, the fish was flaky and soft. Exceeded our expectations completely. Also enjoyed the jokes on the back of the menu for a laugh.

Formally known as the Jolly Farmer, great food, atmosphere, and service. Credits to the the chef who made homemade beef patty and chicken tenders for kids meal, highly recommend if hungry and passing through.

Lamb shank was nice and tasty and tender. Brownie was yummy too! Service staff were very attentive and friendly. Glad we came to check out the menu tonight. Thanks Team!

I go there every 3 months or so & have not been disappointed once. The atmosphere is convivial, not intrusive but adds to the experience. The food is pretty good for pub fare, not high end restaurant for sure, but better than what I can do & better than what a lot of other places serve. I most definitely recommend this establishment.

Staff are excellent, very friendly and the food is very reasonably priced - I had a big bucket of delicious mussels for only $14. Wide drinks selection. And the music is very good wink wink. Hard to complain, thank you for a good time

Had really horrible experience yesterday. Waited for an hour for fish n chips and pasta dish. There was no communication, we were not informed about the wait at the time of order and the food was really really bad. The Fettuccini pasta had no seasoning, no sauce. It was just a boiled pasta with 1-2 pieces of mushrooms. Fish n chips had only 5-6 chips along with the small size of fried fish. Absolutely appalling experience. We were so hungry as we got our lunch at 3 pm absolutely tasteless food. Also at the time of order, they had ran out of almost everything on the menu. There was no pizza base in their kitchen, no chicken ( which was unbelievable) no mussels no chicken burgers. To be honest for the first time had such a horrible experience in Newzealand. Unbelievable.

Only 1 complaint. We ordered our food and the 2 people at our table ordered there's a few minutes later due to he had to ask his wife to change her order as the mussels were not available. Our food came way before theirs so we were not eating together.i think the kitchen should have brought all the food out together. Other than that it was great. Food was lovely

For a $38 meal, I was expecting a decent feed. Good arrived and there was hardly anything on it. A tablespoon full of mushroom, 2 tablespoons of mashed potatoes dry, burnt fried egg yoke overcooked. The steak was supposed to be sirloin but it was rubbery and had to cut half of it off because there was too much sinew. Just don't do it. I never leave a review but it was that bad I had too. Other than that place was OK staff OK

We had my father's 80th birthday here today and staff went out of their way to make his day a special one. Food was awesome. Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Murphys Law. Thank you!

You can always guarantee good service and food for that lunch at 2.30-3.00 pm. Thank you. Plenty of social spaces, airflow. Our favorite spot. ❀

Great British style pub, friendly staff and good atmosphere. Lovely food too. Music could be quieter down in the sit-down dining room, but otherwise, very happy to come back again soon. Oh, and very obliging and accommodating to our 1 yo daughter.

We love the atmosphere here. We’ve been coming here for 3 years now for pub quizzes on Tuesday and love attending because it’s so much fun. Sad thing is I feel in the past 3 years the foods gotten worse and worse overtime. and we use to come to this pub because the food was so good. Nearly everyone in our party has gotten sick from eating here and it finally caught up to me as the last time I went I got so sick the next day. If your looking for a fun pub for some drinks this place is awesome but I’d avoid a meal πŸ₯²

Great prices, good food, it did get a bit loud in there but that's to be expected at peak times

Worst meal out I've ever had. Was very disappointed in my warm lamb salad. Lamb appeared to be dried up bits of lamb shank. If qualified kitchen staff is an issue, then stick to fish and chips or burgers.

I always enjoy Murphys but I was very dissapointed with the Steak and Guinness pie. There was only about 6 pieces of meat and a lot of gravy.

Amazing food. Went on a whim as we drove past and saw it had good reviews. Started with the Cream cheese, bacon and red onion pizza bread that was delicious. Had the steak and Guinness cob pie for dinner and was blown away. Was super tasty and really hearty and filling. Family had the lamb shanks that absolutely fell off the bone. Atmosphere was slightly quiet but welcoming, with some great wines on the menu. Would absolutely recommend!

As always an amazing dinner made extra special as we were fitted in when we hadn't booked. Thank you for making our daughter's birthday perfect.

Absolutely brilliant.. Sirloin Steak cooked perfectly, fiances chicken also 10/10. Guiness on Tap and an amazing sports bar next door. This is a classic English Irish Style Pub just off the motorway with facilities for RVs and mobile homes. Can't wait to return on a Friday for traditional pub atmosphere like none other in Auckland . Excellent service .. no wonder the locals love it

10 out of 10 for this place. The food was beautiful. I had chicken schnitzel with crispy potatoes, parsnip and salad. Dessert was great. They give decent portions too. Use to be called the Ye Jolly Farmer and for many years. Different name but still has that cozy feel and antique look. Awesome place.

Went here for lunch last weekend. This used to be one of my favorite places pre-covid, to enjoy some good pub grub with great service. The kai served to us that day lacked freshness, creativity and seasoning. The servers were busy keeping cool by the oscillating fan instead of paying attention to diners' drink levels and one of the chefs thinks he must be up there with Gordon Ramsey cos he gotta smart mouth but unlike G, he doesn't have the talent to back it up.

Always a nice place to get together on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Pizza was awesome especially the chicken pizza.

Great atmosphere pub, always tidy and the staff are super friendly. Can get a bit busy, usually on quiz nights Tuesday. The food can be hit and miss though. Pizza's are great - get one of those some of the best pizzas in South Auckland but I'd just curb your expectations on anything else. It's not bad just not great either.

If you are ever stuck in traffic on your way back from a road trip stop at this place just down from the Pukekohe/Drury off ramp, good food and nice cooling drinks. Nice friendly bar staff and some Irish humour on the menus to make you smile.
