Attended my work Xmas Function here in Dec 2021. I ordered the Chicken with ratatouille and orzo. Bit on the pricey side at over $30. Was deeply disappointed when came out; finely diced vegetables that had no seasoning at all, chicken was clearly microwaved from the way the steam was coming off it; tiny for a breast and dry. Chicken skin was dripping in old used oil and that was all you could taste. No amount of salt and pepper could save this dish. I had asked the staff member if it had mushrooms due to an allergy she said she would check but never came back to confirm (it didn't I don't believe). To add to this no staff came to do a meal check on our table.I sat with my plate of food uneaten feeling very hungry all night. Upon leaving mentioned it to the staff member settling the Bill who wasn't overly bothered. 😳 Wouldn't recommend.

Awesome service, great music, clean warm atmosphere. We came just for drinks this time but will be back for dinner soon! The staff are an asset to this place, very welcoming.

I tried out Woodside in Manukau due to positive feedback from my sister. Upon arrival, the restaurant looked very impressive and we were warmly greeted and seated promptly. The ambiance was warm and inviting and I appreciated seeing large family groups of diverse backgrounds scattered around the restaurant. We ordered salads with kumara fries with the apple crumble for dessert. I was impressed by how efficient the service was with food order and delivery, and it was particularly impressive how readily our beverages refreshed. I enjoyed dinner the dessert was amazing, as well as my soy latte. This is a great location for groups or casual catch ups for drinks or a meal in Manukau because the gastrobar menu is vast and likely to suit all palates.

Had a wonderful Mother's day lunch. I tried to book a table online today Morning - was not successful as it was fully booked for the day. We walked in at 2pm directly to the restaurant. MARAEA the best staff was very kind enough to offer us a table. We had a sumptuous lunch, good portion and fabulously cooked meal. Maraea also threw a free Mothers day Chocolate Brownie. Good service, clean and spacious resturant and great ambiance. Would recommend to my friends. The only remark I have was we didn't receive the special 20% off on Salmon dish which was promised at the time of taking order and was not automatically incorporated in the final bill, i didn't ask for it before billing, realised only after paying the full amount. Priscila the manager said she can't authorize credit the after the bill has been processed.

Had quite a disappointing lunch, particularly as my previous visits here were just awesome. Our waitress explained to us that everyone was new - and hence we accepted the experience - just paid the bill and went elsewhere. But this was such an awesome place to get lunch - and I would hate for it to lose more patrons because of very simple and correctable things like: 1) Offering patrons drinks or a beverage menu on initial seating. We were seated and then forgotten about. We had to first flag a waitress down for the drink’s menu - and then flag one down again to take our order. It was not that busy - it honestly felt like nobody cared. 2) Our waitress was really kind and graciously polite - but was clearly new and unsupervised because she forgot about our starters and as result, in addition to the long wait we endured - we did so without any starters. I left without having the drink I ordered. Don’t get me wrong – we were eventually credited for not serving us with the starters – but this didn’t need to happen. 3) The drinks strangely - came as individual units...like we received one cocktail, then after 12-15 minutes another and then a coke, and then after 4-5 minutes another. In the end, I had to walk to the barmen and cancel the outstanding drinks - because they hadn't arrived, and our meal was almost done. 5) While at the bar, I so that the barmen was not busy, so I asked him for a beer from the tap, and he then served me one half filled with foam. I thought he was joking but he then served it to me thinking it was normal. I was quite shocked and after refusing to take it - the manager explained that he too was new and gave me a new glass. 6) I had brought friends from out of town because I raved about the fish and chips and your pizzas. 5) The fish and chips were quite oily, and the pizzas didn’t have the usual amount of topping and were rather tasteless. It was just such a disappointing lunch date with friends that we looked so forward to. Really hoping that this was just a bad Sunday and not representative of Woodside now.

Their large plates are just that, large plates with stuff all on them for prices that indicate you should be getting much more. The food was actually nice when it arrived but tiny portions. Atmosphere was rubbish as the mediocre band was way to loud to hear anyone. The staff were inattentive and stuffed up the orders. Overall, very overpriced and poorly managed.

The staff are super helpful, friendly and professional. The food and service was fantastic, left there feeling happy and satisfied. Defs a recommend for a special night out.

Had a birthday lunch . Food was good. Customer service was poor, we asked if the sky sports error could be removed and was told will sort it shortly. . After lunch was waiting at the table, waiting for the waitress to come see us to order dessert .However, after 25 minutes and empty plates/glasses, we gave up waiting. Error code wasn't removed...

For years i had heard of Woodside and been past there but never went. It looks so small and secluded from the outside but as soon as you walk in to the joint, you couldn't be more wrong. The open space and the atmosphere is more than welcoming and quite a stunner that im contemplating holding my brothers 21st there in 2 years. The kai is scrumptious and the drinks are both sweet and delicious. I recommend the meat lovers pizza for a snack between friends with some kumara fries. Me and our friends definitely enjoyed our time there and the servers were so accommodating. Also if you want to try your luck at slots, they have a cute little room near the entrance.

nice modern clean restaurant/bar. very friendly energetic staff but the food was such a let down especially for the PRICES they charge, the crispy duck was not crispy at all and very tough and the components were stone cold, it was still edible bit such a let down. also having to wait for cutlery to be given after being served etc.

Ribs are always sooo good here! The rewana bread that came with the wha a spin of the Vietnamese dish was yummmm was too full to have the dumplings probably always best to have the dumplings while they're hot!

Walk in. Great friendly service, lovely atmosphere, value for dinner for 2, and the food was delicious... I definitely recommend it and will go back again.

Got asked for debit card or license as a tab. Is this standard practice ? Not going to do a runner. Food options are disappointing. Cocktails tasted like syrup , for $20 a glass expect better couldn’t taste the alcohol. Service is shocking was there for 30 minutes I had to go & get the attention of the waitress. Photo of the cocktail, horrible disgusting sums it up.

Had drinks n food there at Happy hour. Shared big platters of chicken, spare ribs, savouries etc. Very filling. Very friendly, attentive, welcoming staff and Manager! Will go back there again! Thankyou Woodside Bar!

Such a great place for the family to dine. The staff are so helpful and friendly, the food is yummy with good portions and the atmosphere is awesome. Thoroughly enjoyed myself and will definitely return soon.

We enjoyed every part in the restaurant🏤. Have very nice menu options 📜and including drinks. Live music🎙 is very lively and makes mood going with the beats and songs. Service is really good and on time with smile and friendly team💁. Thanks heaps 😇😁💖🎶

A nice large restaurant and bar with a lot of good options available in food. The ambience is nice and relaxed. The location is easily accessible and ample parking available on the premises and nearby. Staff are nice and helpful. We visited here in an official group gathering and enjoyed it a lot. Afterwards, we again went there and had a nice quiet lunch. Very good food and experience overall. Well recommended.

My family and I booked a table for 5 and in the end added more. Woodside was very accomodating and we had to move areas but were very grateful. A lot of the table ordered the seafood chowder. It was fresh and all but coming from a very island/Māori family would have done it better (4/5). I had a steak and love it as dear as you can get and was very happy with it because most of the time restaurants over cook my steak but the chef did mine perfectly (5/5). The only photos I got were of our deserts and they were ok. It’s obvious that the chef is either islander or Samoan cause we got panikeke and vaisalo(faipula) can’t remember the actual word. But these were average in taste. I have been to Samoa and lived there for a little while and I can tell you a 2tala version of this is 99% better than the version on offer here. I understand it was a fancier version but it just didn’t do it for me. I love the idea but the execution needs more work. The menu is not really catered to kids so I wouldn’t recommend taking kids here if your kids are simple like mind was. Overall I would come here again but will go somewhere else for desert. Loved the live entertainment he was an awesome singer as well. Thank you for your customer service which was 5/5.

It was our first time at woodside, we used the first table app to book our dinner which was 4:30. At that time it wasn't that busy which was nice. We ordered 2 cocktails and our meal. Our service was great and hardly any wait time for our dinner. The taro and coconut cream was nice especially with the prawn toast and chicken wings. We skipped dessert and finished with a caramel espresso martini. Perfect finish to a lovely meal.

My new favorite place. Great service throughout our meal. Staff were friendly and efficient. Food was delicious.

Easily the friendliest and happiest pub in greater South Auckland. The first thing that greets you is complete authenticity from the wait staff. It is so refreshing to have waitresses genuinely engage you as these days, most pubs are stocked with school levers that will do everything they can to avoid the very people they are paid to serve. They will engage and share a joke. Good stuff. That combined with a fine menu, the plowman's lunch being a highlight for us and to also have a genuine light beer option on tap a huge plus. Kudos to the management, whoever runs front of house knows what they're doing. Beats any of the pubs out east hands down.

This was a great way for a pick me up especially on the first visit, beautiful food with presentation, refreshing drinks and lovely waitresses, as long as you have a fun time with the people you love, your experience will be amazing.

Spacious and comfortable indoor and outdoor seating. A wonderful place for nice food, drinks and social, or just a cuppa. Plenty of parking.

We were looking for some place opened beyond 8pm on a Sunday evening in the Manukau / Flat bush area and came across this spot. Nice place, not too busy, friendly staff. Food was good. We ordered the lamb pizza and the sesame salad. Caved and had dessert which was well well worth it. Very reasonably priced .

Nice place to stop by for a meal. Family friendly and kids menu are great. Big portions. Definitely will visit once nearby.

Customer service was great they seemed to go out of their way to help accommodate our group by joining some tables together and making room for our pram. Food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Enjoyed cocktails, eats and live music last night. Staff were friendly and helpful, the shared platter was yummy, as were the drinks 🍹 I was most impressed by the amount of space around us and between us and the next table, which in these crazy pandemonium times, just allows you to feel safe, relax and enjoy the night

I had a Woodside burger nice home made patties but I want to see they put more fries on the plates look a bit less for the price. my friend had a fish and chip and was dry and oily. Sirloin steak nice big portion and tender but fries a bit less. the waiter need approach customer more and see how is going on. Restaurant clean and tidy good for big gathering. suggestion that reaper sauce waay too hot as I like spicy food could change into aeoli or tabasco. I give 4 star👏👏👏👏 good job woodside.

Staff and attentiveness - 10/10 Food 10/10 Everything about this place is so much better I last visited a year ago or longer, I am so glad I went back. I had the fajitas - yum, my table had steak, chowder and a few sides. I wish I had taken photos but we were enjoying our food, the vibe, the music, we forgot. It was so great. I love how its bookings only and it didn't get crazy busy. I will be back. So impressed with Woodside, and the staff. There's a more professional feel about the place. And the staff are friendly and professional. Did I mention how good the food was. There was a function upstairs and outside and in no way did it inhibit service or took away from our table of four after work on a Friday night. So impressed. Thank you for a great night.

A spectacular ambience with a flare of Pasifika flava...with music and food. Live music and great quick services. My Seafood chowder and pudding was spectacular!

Such a lovely family friendly place. Amazing service & super attentive staff who were happy to cater to dairy free options for allergies. We loved the kids meals served creatively. Hot dogs served with a fresh fruit salad and green salad on the side. Nice cocktails too! 🍸

Lovely place, great atmosphere. Lovely staff. I had the seafood chowder and prawn toast. Both were absolutely amazing. Like blow your socks off good. Chefs obviously care about the food they put out. Soooo good! ❤️

Just home from an awesome night with my parents . First time in this location, and it won't be the last. Food was excellent and the surroundings made my family feel welcome. Actually this place may be new but carries a lot of history. So find out for yourselves :-)
