Big big love to Baduzzi! Food and service more than 5 stars. Full of care to customers. I mentioned it is my birthday today. At the end one of the staff brought me surprise cake, touched my heart! Amazed by order the lemon water for both my friend I with hot water and the water was hot from beginning to the end for all the cups. All the food are fresh from the farm feeling and genuine taste from Italy. If there is a 10 star choice I will have all my stars. Thank you Baduzzi!

My wife and I popped in here after hearing some good things. The setting was nice. The food was lovely and wine list not bad too, so it seemed to start off well. Starters were lovely, meatballs done two ways, super good. However after our mains arrived we felt a few things were off with staff and how they looked after us. It was like suddenly we had been served and that was it, job done. The floor manager (US accent) was simply walking past tables without checking on them. Section waiters or not, flagging staff for another wine was difficult and he was more interested in how he looked than helping anyone including us. It was clear staff were new but moreover, no one was smiling. Only the owner seemed be smiling and the rest looked like they didn't want to be there including the lady that seated us. So we did not order another wine and left. Super bad? No not all, just really frustrating cold service. The worst thing (and we were maybe somewhat to blame) was the price of the Fiorentina steak. We were told of a special and went with it. We dine everywhere and have done for decades. No kids and tons of travel means we don't tend to worry about prices too much. So this was never about money. We figured from all our dinning experiences, any Fiorentina steak is at worst case, usually worst case is about $130 to $140 a kilo high end. More often cheaper. And nothing was said about the cost either when it was offered. So we asked for a Kilo of the two options. I heard my wife and she was clear. We were charged for a 1.1Kg but I can easily let that go. However, the price of this Fiorentina steak was $198!?? I had never in all my days experienced this. Only where it was Wagyu and specialty steak in high-end steak houses like Rockpool in Melbourne would you pay such a price. It was way outside anything on the menu. Infact had I known I would not have ordered it. Moreover, it was not anything special. Nice, but not anything to rave about. When we paid, I was so stunned at the price I did not show my wife for fear of making a scene. So I simply paid it and left. Clearly it was this price because the receipt shows this properly. So clearly it was a special of huge proportions that no one bothered to explain :-) You can see our bill in the images below. So, we won't be back. Mainly for the lack of happiness.. it doesn't make you want to be there. But also for the lack of communication over an extreme priced dish compared to anything else on the menu. Lesson learned.

Everything was so good and delicious, the in house crafted meatballs are tasty and fantastic. It was our second time and the food was perfectly cooked and ingredients were well balanced. The service was impeccable thanks to the French waiter that day. Great wine selection, the manager sat us to a table despite our mistake on the booking date. Little surprise plate at the end after overhearing we had a birthday man at the table was a lovely touch by the restaurant. Great staff and great place to share great food with family and friends, we will be back.

Popped here after hitting up a film at the ASB Theatre. I've been here plenty of times and it is consistently good. We were walk-ins tonight but were very kindly accommodated. Ordered the beef meatballs, steak, saffron tortellini and the polenta. The food was incredibly tasty. The tortellini was a bit small but the flavour carried it. The service and cocktails were impeccable. If you're looking for a great date spot, this is it.

This is No. 1 Italian restaurant and the best Italian food I have ever had in my entire life. The restaurant has soft lighting and peaceful ambient. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this heaven to anyone and don't forget to order the Tiramisu! 😋

I went here a few years back and didn’t have a good impression then because the food was so salty. I’m glad I bit the bullet and visited again this time. The food tasted amazing. Very popular place so had to book a week in advance but worth it.

We had an amazing birthday meal here. The service was next level. Staff were so friendly and professional, they gave great food recommendations and were knowledgeable. What made our experience so special was that they made an extra effort for my partners birthday and gave a special dessert. We really appreciate them going the extra mile. Many thanks and we’ll be back again! P.s. those meatballs were to die for and the dessert was scrumptious (homemade tiramisu)

been taken there for a dinner for my special night. staff at front house were quite young which i wouldn't mind as long as they do their best job there, unfortunately, those are bit less educated for high standard restaurant like they don't know much well about how to express their menu and wines. So we had to choose on our own and gave it a go by just great naming on the menu. We ordered appetizer, main and dessert,we enjoyed most of them.Just wish they could add on great table service and caring customer a bit more to concerns their location and cost of food as well.

Nice food and I love their specials as well. They got some good vegetarian options to cater for some vegetarians in our group. They took good care of all dietary requirements. Service was bit slow on a Wednesday afternoon probably because they are short staffed. Otherwise it is all good.

Excellent!! What a wonderful restaurant and superb food! Each mouthful tasted like more...😋 The meatballs were to die for and the most amazing dessert yummy! Our waiter was a fountain of information he basically guided and suggested what to eat from the menu. A fabulous experience. Will definitely return... We did return tonight and received the same excellent food as previously, which I was impressed with! Well done guys ☺️👍🍸

Service was awesome. Great variety on the menu and inventive twists on Italian cuisine. Can't wait to come back when we have more than a long layover. The goat cheese and fig jam tortellini were amazing!

Place feels welcoming, waiters coordinate well with each other make you feel good especially with the surprise bday cake 4 stars because the tortolini rabbit only had 4 pieces and I finished it in 4 bites. Perhaps it should have been on the entre side of the menu vs placing it with other larger sized mains (see in photos shared) all and all great place and they had enough room for our baby girl's pram near our table

Food is good, though the prices are high for what you get compared to comparable restaurants. Service is swift. The restaurant is far noisier than a fast food joint and not a place for romance. I've never seen draught Prosecco before 🤣

Had a great dinner last week and we chose the set menu. Love the food and service there. The portions were great, but it is not convenience to divide the dessert by ourselves. Also, it wasn't a long wait for food until around 6pm when more people arrived. And there was another table put up to squeeze in the gap which was hard for the staffs and people to walk. Hope this can improve.

I recently dined at Baduzzi in Auckland and had an amazing experience. The atmosphere and service were fantastic. Our server, a young gentleman, provided great information and was attentive to our needs. The speed and delivery of food and drinks was very fast, and the food tasted incredible. I highly recommend booking a table in advance as the restaurant appeared to be popular even on a Wednesday evening. The atmosphere was great, and the service was excellent. The food was delicious and I would definitely recommend the restaurant to others. I recommend the Baduzzi for anyone looking for great food and service. The atmosphere was perfect for a night out with friends or a special occasion. I will definitely be returning to try more from the menu

Amazing Italian food, and great atmosphere with excellent service. Nothing is more welcoming than stepping into this place after a wet and windy stroll across the docklands. I was not particularly hungry so we got an appetiser and some meatballs. Excellent service with the waiter and the meatballs were incredible, seasoned well with a refreshing tomato based sauce. The waiter also offered some bread to soak up the sauce which is very smart. I would go back again but hungry this time.

The food, desert, service, and atmosphere was just a delight. We came for a late lunch, had the place to ourselves, and enjoyed every bit of it. We skipped the wine since the prices are pretty high, but couldn't resist the lemoncello - we were not disappointed! Booking is required

We are a group of 27 people having a delightful sunny lunch, and we were thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service and delicious food at Baduzzi. Despite the bustling atmosphere on a busy Friday afternoon, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cater to our needs. I wholeheartedly recommend Baduzzi to anyone in search of a fantastic long lunch experience for a small group. You have to order the meatball!! i did not want to share with anyone hehehe.

Wonderful food and service! We couldn't decide which dishes to choose so we ordered extra and had a lovely feast made extra special by the attentiveness of the staff who overheard we had a birthday at the table. Would recommend the Chicken saltimbocca, Pasta alforno and Agnolotti of gurnard & scampi especially.

A cosy and inviting locale near the harbor, boasting a superb Italian restaurant offering authentic dishes and exceptional customer service. With commendable vegetarian choices, it stands out as a fantastic dining destination in Auckland.

First time on a visit from Christchurch. Only thing wrong was we had to find such great food and service in Auckland! The wild deer meatballs I had were soooo tasty and my wife loved the crayfish meatballs. Serive was excellent and our waitress explained our dishes and paired them with great wines. Would definitely recommend!

So far the best Italian restaurant in Auckland, although I do wish they can manage to make bigger dining tables in the future.

Food quality is consistent over the years. I cam back for their wild deer meatballs and it tastes just like a few years back. Thank you for the great experience every time.

If you're going to a show at the ASB Waterfront Theatre, Baduzzi is a fantastic choice which is close by and has some delicious food. We loved the meat balls and the eggplant parmigiana was amazing. Great drinks selection. Perfect place for a meal.

I wish I had three stomachs to eat everything I want from their menu in a single visit - I guess I'll have to keep coming back. Amazing food, true Italian recipes and top-notch ingredients. Don't miss out on their stracciatella with aubergine.

had a great experience here for a late lunch. fish of the day well prepared. friendly service. nice veranda seating but they didn't have the rabbit ragu that we came for! apparently the tiramisu is amazing but we were already full. would come back for sure

Above and beyond. The food was absolutely amazing. Staff were so attentive. Explaining all the food on the menu. Love this place. Jackson....You are truly the best. We had the Wagyu beef tongue. The Squid. The saffron goats cheese tortellini. The line caught fish and the pepe caccio. Dessert was Mango sorbet and Tiramisu. Highly recommended.

Food was very good, especially the bread with olive oil and olives as a starter. The bread has a smoked crust! Even though the food was good, the portion sizes were incredibly small and not worth the money. Feels a bit overpriced too. Drinks are good as well. Service is super kind and brings you into a good mood!

This was one of the most amazing food places I have ever been too , the food was amazing the service was outstanding and they refilled our glasses of water about 4 times throughout our lunch without us even noticing they were becoming empty , the food had the best combinations of flavours and the dessert was just as good , everything was as perfect as it could be & I would recommend to anyone. I also am gluten free so having food at that standard is not an easy thing to do while gluten free but they had a whole seperate gluten free menu with many options.

Quite a cosy place, my scotch stake was cooked on point, squid ink pasta was great but couldn't spot any scampi:/. Wild deer meatballs had nice texture, but had little flavour. Also we were charged for 2 bottles of st pellegrino but only had one.

Great service, fantastic coffee and beautiful ambience. I would definitely come back here for a business meeting to enjoy with coffee and dessert. The tiramisu was not very traditional in appearance but it was exciting, different and definitely memorable! The meals were a bit of a let down though, all the food served was warm and/or cold. The crayfish meatballs have a high reputation however I found it a bit lack Lustre. The crayfish flavour was too subtle, the sauce that accompanied was delicious. My spaghetti caccio e pepe was not spaghetti, I was served another type of pasta without being told. The quality of the food produce was high but the way it was served missed the mark for me.

Baduzzi thanks for an amazing night. I was with 3 friends and we had the best night enjoying your food and drink! My meal was heaven. Wanted to order another one it was so good! Defo make time to experience Baduzzi!

We loved the look of the menu, set up in traditional Italian style with five courses. Shared the early plates, then our own main courses. No room for dessert! The helpings were delicious, although not large to support the five course meal. Staff were friendly and not rushed, but they made several basic mistakes. The waiter very impressively remembered our order, repeating it back perfectly. But he forgot one element by the time he reached the kitchen, so not so impressive. Loved the ambience when we arrived, but it was too noisy by the time we left. We had a lovely evening, only a little spoiled by minor niggles.

Booking, reservation, voucher, email response, online reconfirmation all very good. Was a very busy full restaurant which is a good sign. Very exuberant and professional maitre de and waiting staff. Large variety of dishes, although size was a bit small for prices, the taste was always delicious. Prawns expensive, but crayfish ravioli not. Saffron tortelleni was exquisite. Will recommend and come again. 🙂
