Ate here last night and the food was bomb. Started off with some amazing cocktails. Hummus is out of this world. Also the lamb dish was so so good. Last but not least the desert blew our socks off and the person making them was a delight to talk to. Highly recommend ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿ’ซ๐Ÿ’ซ

Tucked into the lovely bustling St Kevin's Archade, Thursday was super busy. Gorgeous menu, loads for vegetarians/vegans. We tried half a dozen dishes, and beer. Lamb was excellent. Definitely going back

We emailed them and got a reservation at the last minute on a Friday. I felt very lucky since it was great. The jeeb menu is more than enough to feel full and it's well worth of the money. Service is superb.

Really good Lebanese food, the concept is more sharing platters (4-5 for two people). Prices are a little pricey for the portion but pack a tonne of flavour and is a unique experience! Plenty of seats but recommend booking before hand!

Amazing vibe and the flavours are good but portions are small (1 hummus is good for 2) and the fact you have to pay per piece of bread is a bit ridic for a lebanese restaurant. The chicken was amazing though and service was very friendly and prompt.

I have been in this restaurant three times and all the dishes were 100! The best food I ever had in my life. From the Flavor bomb Falafels, to refreshing salads, to superb Lamb and glorious chicken with saffron rice. Vegetarian options are also amazeee!

Had dinner here a couple of weeks ago for an engagement celebration - it was fantastic. I had been once before a few years back and the standard of food both times has been superb. Would particularly recommend the grilled chicken and lamb rump but honestly it's all delicious and picking standouts is like choosing a favourite child, except that's probably easier. Special mention for the wonderful accommodating attitude of the wait staff for our gluten-free member of the party, who wasn't made to feel like an inconvenience. The gluten-free flatbreads were especially tasty, and the custom made dessert option was lovely. Oh, and also the Congratulations plate they prepared pre-dessert was a great thoughtful touch and much appreciated!

The food is superb! Beautifully seasoned, authentically made and well matched with drinks. St Kevinโ€™s Arcade atmosphere is really good, and nice view of the tower. Winning dining experience

Amazing experience. It was a very different experience for me, food tastes different from everything I tried before. Staff is really amazing and kind. Food is a little experience. Chicken Sishi was around $28.

Coolest little side alley restaurants tucked off of K rd. This place is great for sharing, lovely wine and delicious kai. The dessert was out of this world good! The service was ok, not super friendly but helpful. Nice vibe and good wine selections.

Great food! Did the jeeb menu and the food just kept coming! Definitely worth it and was able to get all vegetarian meals too. They also accommodate to vegans as well!

I've been here for dinner years ago but this occasion was the first time I tried the Jeeb menu ($65.00 per head). The dishes on offer were fantastic in flavour - was drooling over the rice that came with the lamb (I actually had day dreams about it - SO delicious). I wasn't that impressed with dessert and there wasn't enough Lebanese bread in my opinion. I think the experience of a Lebanese hot beverage with dessert would have been ideal. Staff could be more friendly but perhaps this was because they were busy. I'll be going back regardless because the food is worth going back for! Noticed that the dessert has improved from my last dining experience and our waitress was nice. Unfortunately, the lamb wasn't available on the evening we dined which was very disappointing.

Stop reading the reviews and go! Lovely setting, friendly service and most importantly delicious food. We had the set menu for 2 of us and it was 100% worth it for all the Lebanese flavours and variety of plates. Especially as there is not much of a middle eastern cuisine scene in Auckland, this helps fill that hole successfully. Very much recommend it. Can't wait to return again. ๐Ÿ˜‹

Make sure you book in advance because Gemmayze is tricky to get a seat at. When you get in there be prepared to be blown away. The hummus is nothing short of life changing and the lamb is a must try. Weโ€™ve been multiple time since trying and highly recommend to all. James Ashwin Kakapo Business Sales

Love the vibe and the food at Gemmayze St in St Kevins Arcade. My favourite dishes would have the be their favourite hummus and their chicken shish with juicy charred chicken thighs on saffron rice is spectacular! They are really busy, so make a booking unless you happy to wait or get turned away! Good cocktails and desserts too!

We have been meaning to try for a while and had high expectations. Food was tasty however portions were very small for the price and service could have been much better. We ordered "Shish Barak" (lamb tortellini with octopus) $32NZD and "Samke Foule" (market fish with white bean, cumin oregano and brown butter) $34NZD. We had to order 2 extra flatbreads since portions were small. (We are just 160cm female...)

One of the best restaurants in Auckland โค๏ธ Delicious Middle Eastern food, great vibes and lovely service. Love sharing a good meal with friends. We had a bit of everything, mostly the aubergine dishes, hummus, bread, the potatoes, cauliflower (one of my favourites) and market fish. And we finished with a couple of desserts: the truffles and the orange pastry (which I really recommend). Looking forward to going back!!!

I've been here about 4 times now and every single time, the food and service has been faultless. Thursday night is a busy night for this place but we were seated without any issues. Service was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially when we had one member of our table having specific dietary requirements. The food was amazing. The standout dishes were the pide, lamb shoulder, mixed grill and the smoky eggplant. The menu has changed every time I've been and it's great to see them innovating their dishes but keeping up the same quality and flavour. Well done.

Iโ€™m not usually one to write reviews but WOW this restaurant is hands down the best Iโ€™ve been to! Food was divine - cannot emphasis that enough - couldnโ€™t fault it and the vegan options were abundant. Service was amazing and the staff knew their stuff, no fluffing around. Everything was thought of and taken care of. Very professional and welcoming vibe. Weโ€™ll be back!

Amazing food. Loved the grilled chicken with rice, lamb tortellini and fish tartare. These 3 dishes were to die for!

Intimate, classy and what i think is the pride of St Kevin's arcade. 10/10 must try if you haven't already.

What a restaurant! Busy, yet stylish atmosphere, food you really do want to keep eating; yes, maybe one more! There is a happy rapport obvious amongst the team on the floor, and the kitchen churns out an impressive variety of deliciousness. The cocktails were unusual and refreshing. I can see why bookings and punctuality are essential. This one is a gem!!

So good!! Best falafel in Auckland for sure. Everything here is delicious. Make sure to save room for dessert as well! Also the staff are always incredibly lovely and attentive. They said they were short staffed tonight but there's no way you would be able to tell from how good the service was. Only real downside is that it gets really loud, especially on the weekends. Not ideal if you don't have the best hearing. Otherwise 11/10 always

Incredible. I ate everything. There are plagues of locusts who leave more behind. Every bite was just fantastic - wonderful interplay of colours and scents and textures and tastes and spice. I regretted being so full I could barely walk...because I would have happily have treated my tongue to that experience all over again. I'll be back again, and again, because I can't imagine not having that spectacular taste experience again.

What an amazing and vibrant place! Nice tables and cutlery, friendly staff, and very comfortable chairs. Love that the music was not too loud and our group could engage in conversation - a proper catch-up! We decided to have the "Jeeb" menu and I must say I did consider un-buttoning my trousers at the end of the meal. We were served 6 courses, but each course had a few elements. We started with some snacks comprising of potato balls, chickpea something, and rolled fish (I really apologize for the description but there is no way I can remember everything now). Then the starters were a mix of hummus (of note, I had heard this was the best hummus on Earth, but that is not something I agree with), labneh, bread, fried cauliflower (this was just outstanding) and 2 other dips. The entrรฉe was a beautiful piece of pan-fried fish on a bed of spinach and potato foam - really delicious, maybe the best dish of the night. The mains were a mix of octopus (beautiful flavour, but slightly rubbery), steak (gorgeous temperature and scrumptious jus), roasted pumpkin with parmesan sauce (just yum!) and salad (think it was butter lettuce and hints of cardamom). The first dessert was flambeed (I think) pineapple with ice-cream, followed by a rich mini-chocolate cake with ice-cream + poached pear with coconut ice-cream and a crispy sweet hollow element on top. And now I wish I had written down what the staff said when they described the dishes... I highly recommend Gemmayze Street and will defo go back!

Absolutely beautiful Lebanese food with a sophisticated & creative twist to every dish. I don't think I have ever had food like this! Everything is cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere, service is amazing and overall good vibes. Definitely give this place a go, won't disappoint!
