Absolutely amazing!! Went for a lunch date with my wife. Special mention for the super friendly staff. Well we opted for the express lunch option which are priced at 12$. I found the pricing to be really economical. I had ordered the Grilled Chicken which came along with some rice and greens. My wife had ordered a Mezze Platter which was a vegetarian option. Frankly, the platter looked more tempting. But the chicken was equally amazing in taste. I will surely be going again to try other options in the menu !! The service was really an express one !! Went last Saturday with a group of people for my husband's birthday. Was lots of fun and we loved the belly dancer. Food was great too and service was awesome. Will definitely be coming back 😁♥️

Positive: Good food and drinks selection combined with friendly & prompt service by some of the staff, thank you to those that do a good job. The rice is sticky and has a bit of an odd smell indicating it's not always fresh, and there is no plain white rice available which was a lot more fresh and nicer than what they currently serve. Negative: The Indian chef once served me burnt garlic bread and laughed which I felt was a very condescending. I had to eat burnt garlic bread which tasted rather vile. In addition he is not able to accept that he cooked my Steak not well done as I had asked and the entire team have made excuses rather than try and improve on their mistakes. Belly dancing on various nights can be quite distracting, the music is so loud like a club and not what you would expect of a fine dining restaurant. The women that do the bell dancing, sadly to me it objectifies woman as mere cheap objects and takes away from the dining in experience. Respectfully, Aneez

Impressive! Had a reservation for lunch at 01:30pm but due to some unfortunate events ended up coming in at 02:30pm. The gracious host did not turn us away, instead welcomed us warmly. Kudos to excellent service! The food is heavenly, perfect mix of spices and food. Amazing Kafve - if you like it strong, go for it!!! There’s nothing bad I can say to this place... keep up the great work, will definitely be back!

Came here for dinner. We had 8 people seated on a very nice sized table which meant we didn't have a clatter of plates. The drinks came out quite fast same with the food. Highly recommend the chicken iskender, was top notch, juicy, and flavourful. The lamb moussaka and lamb cutlets had great flavour too. My one comment would be about the lamb shank, personally I was expecting a richer, more flavourful jus. It was still good, meat pulling nicely off the bone and of course the bone marrow to top it off. Good value for money and if you have an appetite, the proportions are great. Definitely coming back here.

The food is great and the service is so quick and friendly. Love the lamb here. Lunch specials are a great value for money. It’s highly consistent and the portion size is decent. It can get very busy during peak lunch hours so best to make a booking especially for a larger group. Highly recommended !

Exceptionally delicious Turkish food. I thoroughly recommend Café midnight express. dinner special to sample the marinated grilled lamb mince and succulent lamb kebab plus a chicken kebab complemented by fresh side salad. Mouthwatering taste of balanced perfection in beautiful decor. generous portion size. Fabulous experience. Enjoy dining here with friends!

It's not worth coming here. The food was not special and expensive. It looks like the place has lost its customers and charm. Apparently, once it used to be good, but not anymore.

Great place, went with my friends and got the lamb shank which was amazing. Everyone is very friendly and we loved the belly dance show! It was fun seeing her bring my friends up to dance.

Used to go here lots and it was always great service and food. Admittedly the CRL & pandemic have not helped...went last night. 7pm and we were the only people there. Initial waiter could not understand what we were asking for...2 glasses to go with our byo wine! Then a different person came out to take our starter order. Got dips & bread; food was lovely but as usual never enough bread for the am9unt of hummus & tzaziki on the plate. However we could NOT get any staff's attention. They both had disappeared. We were deciding whether to go but wanted the Moussaka. After waiting ages, I finally went to the counter and waited till I saw someone and ordered! No apology or anthing; like it was expected. Food came; obviously microwaved to heat. Was nice. Went to pay. No real communication, just the bill. The place was empty the whole time; you would expect the service to be better! We always try to support local however if they won't help themselves and give good service, we won't!

We were in Auckland just for the weekend, and on our first night we wandered along the street from our hotel, looking for a restaurant. This place caught our eye. We love Turkish food, and the sign said belly dancing Friday and Saturday night! Dinner and entertainment! I had the mezze platter, and my husband had the crumbled chicken and salad, with a side of fries. Everything was delicious! Even the fries were extra special, with a dusting of herbs, probably oregano and thyme. We had chocolate cake for dessert. The lady who danced for us was great, it was lots of fun. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The prices were very reasonable. They even have a high chair for their younger customers! So a real family restaurant too. We had a lovely evening, and I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Ohhhh my god that lamb shanks was on point the meat melted off the bone only need a folk in order to eat it and the flavored mash potatoe mixed with the juices man it’s like I died and got reborn. The icing on the cake was the Turkish Delight was soft and flavorful. Had three different types. The service and the chef was excellent. Definitely got to give a place a try.

This establishment has everything. Amazing food, venue and service better than none other. I frequent this place 3 times a week and simply wouldn't go anywhere else. From the friendly greeting when you walk in the door to the sublime tasting food. The staff take the time to get to know you and your preferences. They are happy to accommodate any changes (for me I don't like humus but love the tzatziki so they double the tzatziki for me). There is a lunch special available, free high speed WIFI and belly dancing for entertainment in the weekends. The venue is based in an iconic heritage building but has all the amenities you need. A great selection of beverages and the baklava is finger licking good! I think I've tried everything on the menu and my favorite is the lamb kebab on rice. There are vegetarian options also available. Great venue for the work celebration as there are two sections to dine in. If they had a seven star rating I would give it to them! I've taken my partner there and there is no turning back! She simply loves it. Thanks team, keep up that amazing hospitality.

The lamb cutlets were beautifully cooked and succulent 😍 Portion of the midnight mix was huge! Really enjoyed a little big of everything. Chocolate cake was soft, moist & rich & baklava pastry was super crunchy! 🤤 Got to watch the belly dancing show which takes place on the weekends 💃🏻

Nice environment with amazing chef and staff. We had a meat eater and a vegan and we were able to find a couple vegan dishes that fit perfectly. Their steaks are excellent with beautiful sides and the vegan dish offered was falafel with fried pita bread and salad. Best falafel I have had in a long time. Great for a group of friends or date night. Alcohol available and their cocktails are brilliant as well.

Delicious!! Had the vegetarian moussaka and midnight mix combo. Great menu items that are very fresh and flavourful. Can’t wait to come back and try everything. Great service and love their lighting.

Amazing authentic Turkish food. We ordered an array of dishes and everything was so delicious. But the star of the night was the baklava. I have never ever had such wonderful baklava. Thank you so much for a delightful evening with wonderful music and ambiance.

Had the doner lamb lunch, absolutely delicious! Lamb fresh and tender, served with salad, a beautiful flavoured rice and hummus. Lovely atmosphere and staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Will definitely be returning.

This place is amazing. If you want a great Turkish meal don't miss this place is the top for tasty delicious meals and deserts. The cafe is a nice relaxed space to eat in so you feel very comfortable. The staff are wonderful. The chef provides the most delicious meals. Friendly waitress Jena was so wonderful and super friendly looking after us throughout our dining. We visited here 2 days in a row because it was soooo good. We will be back.
