If you are looking for a great meal, with great service go to Vivace. Being around for decades speaks volumes about the quality and charm of this restaurant. Awesome staff.

Meals tasted good and service was great. Overall nice place for dining.

The service was great and the staff were relatively attentive but the food was underwhelming. I was with a larger group and many commented that the food was a bit bland, I saw many unfinished meals.

Loved this place, the tapas portions were very generous and the food was delicious. The waiter was a lovely chap too! Will definitely be back.

The staff at Vivace are amazing and there is a whole vegan menu which is great. The attention to detail from the staff was incredible. My dining partner ordered me a drink without me knowing it had Prosecco and the waiter came back before making it to advise me the Prosecco wasn’t vegan. I was extremely appreciative. The vegan risotto was quite nice, not spectacular but it was good. The cocktails and the staff were the best part about this place

We decided to share a few smaller plates and 1 main which was a great idea really nice meatballs, pork, duck fat potatoes, morrocan chicken and the pasta which all got eaten. We sat right next to the pass and really enjoyed the view of the chefs doing there thing. Great wine good service, we will be back

My son, older brother and I arrived at Vivace on a very crowded Saturday night without a reservation. Within a few minutes, we were seated and had cold drinks served to us at a nice high top table in the bar. But the dinning room seemed so much more cozy, and inviting, so we asked if we could move. Without a thought, the server cheerfully said 'absolutely' and went to check on a different table for us. In less than 5 minutes were were sitting at one of the of best tables in the main dining room (they transferred the bar tab to the table without a fuss) Carol was our server and she could not have been more kind and patient. She new the menu backwards and forwards (without looking) and she knew every drink and bottle of wine they had. My 19 year old son is kind of picky, so Carol had the chef make him a special place of spaghetti bolognese with meatballs (it was not on the menu). My brother had a great pasta dish. I had the Spaghetti - Aglio e olio - chilli, garlic, parsley, lemon, olive oil & parmesan with sauteed prawns $40 - best i've ever had!!!! The food was so fresh and tasty. The staff could not have been nicer and the vibe is just what we wanted. It was the best meal we had on our 7 day journey.

Second experience dining at Vivace, first was a couple of years ago had an amazing four course paired with wine, this time enjoyed a variety of small plates, very tasty, the goat cheese balls were my fav, I think it’s a great little restaurant, great vibe, great food, wd def come again every time we’re in Akl. I hear they’re experiencing a bit of a tough time post covid and I sincerely wish the owners all the best, wd be a shame to see this one go 🌺

We went here with a group of 10 adults. None of us could complain about anything. Everyone in the group said we would definitely come back here again. We couldn't fault the service, drinks came with in a minute of ordering and all our meals came out together and nice and hot too.

It was New Year’s Eve…made a very last min dinner plan. We were lucky enough to dine at their bar area which was fantastic 😍🥂 we had a couple of dishes and cocktails and I remembered ordering the caramelised eggplant which was delicious 👌🏼 at first I was told they ran out of eggplant and I chose another dish. While eating what we have ordered the chef came and gave us the eggplant dish and said it was on the house 🫶🏻 only because it was the last eggplant. The owners are very nice as they walk around checking on their customers 😍❤️ it’s a very nice place I totally enjoyed it. I would go back to dine here again.

If you love pork, I would highly recommend the lasagna. Meatballs from the hot tapas were amazing. Everything was amazing actually, food, service and prices! We went to celebrate my daughters birthday and they went over and beyond to make her feel extra special. So nice to have a place like this that welcomes and caters to children. Service was outstanding and the atmosphere was perfect.

Had an amazing experience here for a work dinner. The staff was amazing and offered great recommendations for food and drinks. Would highly recommend Vivace for either a nice date night, or social gathering.

First meal on our tour of New Zealand and a very good start! Having just arrived after a day travelling from Sydney to Auckland we were looking for a relaxed meal. Vivace was perfect for us. An attractive ambience within 11 minutes walk of our Ohtel, and buzzy without being impossible to have a conversation. The service was attentive and a special mention to Mandy whose communications were excellent and tolerance high when we arrived half an hour late for our booking. (Baggage handling at airport was incompetent). We had a light meal of starters - bruschetta, caprese salad, calamari, goats cheese and mozzarella balls - with room for chocolate mousse and apricot malva. All delicious.

I don't normally post reviews but tonight's dinner was truly flawless. The service is top notch. I had the Chicken Thigh while my friend had the Fish of the Day, both of us have not had a meal that truly delicious and flavourful in a long time, the desserts were also delicious. We enjoyed some cocktails with our meals, they very moreish.

The food at Vivace is nothing short of spectacular. The freshest tasting pasta coupled with flavour explosions in so many ways. The hot tapas were an excellent warm up for the mains. My partner had the best tasting prawn risotto either of us had ever tasted and I had pappardelle with slow cooked lamb; another exceptional dish. We are both very keen to get back multiple times and work our way through the rest of the menu. As a bonus, the wine list was as good as the food.

Fantastic dinner as part of the Auckland month restaurant. 4-courses menu, every dish was excellent (we picked the duck menu), the wine-pairing was fabulous and the service was attentive & kind-hearted. Great experience and great value for money. Will probably be back for the same menu later this month :)

We had an amazing last dinner in Auckland during our week away and it’s up there as probably our best meal. Fantastic service and delicious food. Couldn’t fault it. Loved the variety on the menu from cold and hot tapas, pizza, risotto, salads, pastas and the list goes on. Dessert was also fab. Thanks for a lovely evening

Italian-style cuisine with a NZ twist. The entrees are great for sharing, and there is a nice selection of pastas and risottos. Love the beer on tap, and the lovely, friendly service. Great for a business gathering or a date night.

They managed to squeeze us in on a very busy night and we had a great time. The staff were very friendly and hospitable, giving us recommendations for the menu. The food came out very quickly and the food was amazing. One of the best spots in Auckland for sure.

Vivace Restaurant are the best - Mandy and Gene from Vivace hosted my car club wine tasting event on Friday night for 15 people. The people, the staff did an amazing job - The food was impressive and the risotto was to die for as was the wine list. Everyone had a great time and everything was perfect. We used the back room to host our event and the guys even set up all the tables for us. I cant thank the guys enough and look forward to dining there again soon. Totally recommend anyone looking to hold a function to use the team at Vivace - Antonio Monteleone

This was my first time back at Vivace in years (since they moved down to Fort Street). The restaurant space is quite small but there's a separate bar and a nice outdoor space. The menu was pretty extensive and quite meat-heavy but that wasn't a problem for us. We got three entrées and three mains to share and everything met or exceeded expectations. Portions were generous and service was efficient.
