It's a character filled, colorful Auckland institution. Reliably good food and drinks in a relaxed and fun atmosphere... But not great food, not particularly innovative, and beginning to show its age. Good for a causal fun night out, but no longer a destination for a special meal.

Our pizza was burnt. Not just charred but it was literally bitter and burnt. The jalapenos didn't suit the pizza at all, and they say there's nduja in it but there wasn't any.

Had an awesome time here. Service was amazing and the food was superb. We had polenta chips, arincini balls. Lastly we had the Margherita pizza and it was so good. Will definitely go there again.

To be honest I come here for the polenta chips, they’re amazing. The pizza is good too but this is far from the best pasta in Auckland. Basically, Coco’s Cantina has the vibe of a hipsters paradise with average pasta but amazing polenta chips... if that’s a thing to go somewhere for (which it is).

Very cool place with a great service and delicious food! Dont pass it and come to check it out! First time there and liked right away! The place has a great atmosphere! Its very relaxing there. They have a small garden outside and it is decorated with plants and pillows where you can literally lay down if its not too busy . There are stairs where you can sit down with your group for an afternoon drink or snack and enjoy your company. Service is great and very accommodating. They will give your recommendation on a menu if you dont know what to choose! I loved polenta chips ! I think its my favorite! So yummy and crunchy! Vibes were very good when I visited! I recommended this place if you are looking for something new. It is very inviting! They have good cocktails and also specials for almost every day!

Great casual dining experience, superb (and fun) service and scrumptious food. Love that most dietary requirements are catered for and not a blink of judgement.

Absolutely in love with this place! One of the best spaghetti and meatballs, polenta chips and delicious paté🍝 I have an amazing time every time I go there and drinks/cocktail selection is fantastic too! Great and friendly service and you're right in the heart of K Rd with great vibe and people watching.

I've been here twice now, once with a friend and the other time alone. Both times have left be wowed and appreciative. The latter bc the restaurant has proven that genuine hospitality, fused with great food still exists. The food is next to none, with my favourite being the chicken liver. Seriously the best I have had. The jam was not too sweet, but sweet enough to compliment the chicken livers creamy texture and flavours. I also had a brocolini pasta which was super delicious. Thank you so much to the chefs! Notably, I'd like to exalt the service I received from Logan, Harris, Nathan and the front of house lady ( I believe she was from Venezuela, forgive me if I'm wrong 😜 ), they all made me feel and my friend too very welcome. Nathan truly is the epitome of attentive hospitality, knowledgeable and great at upselling the specials. Harris is a great bartender, who made me the freshest cucumber dressed cocktail I have had. Logan is super fantastic also, providing a great experience for me on a sunny day! The latter woman was equally as great, making sure we were all cared for. Iykyk. 😂 Anyway, working in hospo as well,sometimes it can be a thankless job, yet I truly believe that giving credit where it is due is a must. So here's to you guys for being great at what you do! Authentic italian food and great great service. The best meal I had in Auckland. Reasonable price with hospitality service makes me feel like grandma's kitchen in Italy.

Food wasn't bad. service was poor, no initiative shown by any of the staff. And calling everyone babe, sweetie, darling doesn't work. Also I get everyone is free to be themselves but the contrast of staff attire was confusing and a bit inappropriate. From hoodies to tight tops and no bras, the service felt forced and fake. Times are tough, the lack of effort speaks volumes.

What an amazing place to have food and catch up with friends. Place was buzzing, it was busy and looked amazing. It didn't feel like we are in NZ. Service was too quick, we felt a bit rushed as the waiting staff didn't give us much time to even look at the menus and enjoy our food. Food came to the table pretty quick, every dish we've ordered was really nice and big portions too. We were stuffed by the time we got outta there. Absolutely loved the atmosphere and will totally go back again.

Love the outdoor seating especially but the downside is the service is always lacking in that section. Always forgotten. That awkward feeling of “do I have to go in and ask where my drink is?” Nice food though, glad they cater to vegans. Oh and way way better service if you’re inside. Like polar opposite in fact. A shame because the vibe and the people watching out the front is so good.

The only portion that's actually been filling was the spaghetti and meatballs which was super good. The other food is super good too but I had to buy two dishes. Tends to be busy all the time in the evening, but the waiters/waitresses always ask if we need anything more etc. Some people can be suoer loud which is something I personally don't like, but otherwise absolutely love Coco's!

Our group ordered up and shared 4 different entrees. One Quattro Formaggi Pizza, Porketta, Mushroom rigatoni and Linguini. Each one was fantastic! Some of the best Italian food ever! Oh, and the service was top notch as well. Highly recommend this if you are ever in the area! 5 Stars

We came for happy hour on a Tuesday from 5:15-6:30ish. To our surprise they have a deal on Tuesdays for 17 dollar pizzas (20 for the prosciutto)! We ordered one of each and they were really decent pizzas, and definitely good value. The service was great and really friendly. A nice casual spot and good for groups - we had 7.

Such a beautiful, colourful and lively place for dinner and drinks. Amazing staff and delicious food, including lots of options for different dietary needs. We booked the Te Awa o Āwhina private room for the night and had a blast! Thank you Kira and team for looking after us so well.

Went on a Wednesday night with a mate for an after dinner snack, all the staff were incredibly lovely and genuinely attentive. Don’t frequent K Road but had an amazing experience and definitely will be back! Cocktails were delicious. Shout out to Kira, great banter and gave us some amazing reccies for afters. Appreciate the above and beyond team ❤️

Coco’s is consistently one of the most reliable, delicious restaurants in Auckland. We’ve been here 10-20 times over the years, and it has never been better than now. The menu is so good, and the staff are always lovely. This is our go-to restaurant for a guaranteed good meal.

SO YUMMY! I ordered the Arancini, marguerita pizza and the spaghetti al vongole and potatoes. It was all so delicious, the atmosphere was super lively, it was quite loud as it was a Friday night but it didn’t take away from the experience for me. The cocktails were really nice and not overpriced, it’s definitely not a cheap night out but it’s well worth it for something a bit nicer. We didn’t have a booking but they had a table for us within 5 mins. The staff are really nice and the restaurant is decorated so well. Will definitely be back.

K Rd institution and one of my favourite restaurants. Super friendly staff and one of the few places where I enjoyed sitting at the bar while waiting for a table (or for a takeaway pizza)

A very delicious local Italian restaurant, had the best polenta chips so far. The meatball and spaghetti is surprisely good, love the flavor. Definitely worth to leave some room for the desert. Tiramisu is the best.

We wanted a fun night which is what we had. To be honest though, the duck ragu and potato ravioli tasted like they were from 2 separate restaurants. Potato ravioli is TO DIE FOR - even better than the butter and sage dish at Pasta & Cuore, with burnt/caramelized butter sauce and hints of lemon. The duck ragu was not how I remember it: a bit bland. Too many peas, not enough sauce, too much pasta - and the pasta wasn't even quite cooked! I would go back though, for the polenta fries and potato ravioli.

Coco's Cantina saved my Friday. I didn't have a reservation but they had a table available outside. I had the seafood linguine, my partner had a pizza. Pasta was good with decent amount of clams, but next time I'll definitely have a pizza. The waitress was very nice and helpful. Five star service and recommendations.

Food was good and service was fast. Definitely a lively and intimate venue. Lots of young adults, as well as older adults trying to feel young! Seems like a stand out venue among other places on K road. Menu seemed a bit all over the place in terms of theme, but other than that, it was great!

Loved! Even with kiddos they made us feel welcome. Cocktails and food were both delicious! The fish skewer entree was next level. Would definitely come again!

I love Coco’s so much, the staff are so cool, the cocktails are great and the pizzas and pasta options are EPIC. Sitting on K’rd watching the hustle and bustle go by is always entertaining too. Cool date night/dinner with friends spot. Highly recommend 10/10

Really, really nice meal had by all on our table of four. The pizzas are excellent. They have vegan options, and are accommodating to changes so I’m sure some non vegan options could be made vegan if wanted. The only thing that slightly let the evening down was the service, the table next to us had a different waitress and seemed to be much better, for example one person on our table didn’t get their meal at the same time as the rest of us, and actually ended up having to ask where it was, it was then quite a while before our table was cleared and then we waited a while to be asked if we wanted desert, until we ended up asking another waitress for a desert menu as it seemed like we had been forgotten, the table next to us, who arrived after us had eaten their mains, been offered, had ordered and were eating their desert and we were still waiting for the offer of a desert menu. Maybe our waitress was having a bad day, other than that it was great and would’ve been a 5 star review.

The meatball pasta is bomb! And great atmosphere also, very suitable for a romantic date or a wholesome meal with friends! One of the best Italian restaurant in Auckland! Highly recommend!

My partner and I came here for a dinner out with friends tonight. We love supporting owner-operated businesses and Coco’s was a delight (as always)! We had the most delicious pizza and the atmosphere was so lively. Kira and Frankie were wonderful hosts this evening. Mad love for the Coco’s whānau ❤️

We celebrated a family birthday in the private dining room. The set menu was delicious and the perfect amount of food. We had our own bathroom and we're able to choose our own music which was such a nice extra. The lady who looked after us did such an awesome job and was so warm and attentive. Everyone we interacted with was awesome, such a great vibe and can't wait to come back. All the food was amazing but I'm definitely heading back for the Potato, wild garlic burnt butter ravioli, Chocolate tart and Lamb ragu.
