Great coffee and food. Had the hash - potatoes weren’t super crunchy (personal preference) and add-on of bacon was a bit expensive at $7 for only 2 skinny rashes but everything tasted good together and was well-balanced. Salmon crumpet was delicious, super fresh! Would give the fries a skip, weren’t terrible but not particularly crunchy and could taste the oil they were fried in. Friendly service, super nice people ☺️

What a lovely spot for brunch. The options were all amazing. Great service is a small cafe tucked down a corridor off High St. Take the time to search out this place.

Delicious coffees. The menu was yum too we ordered the cauliflower kimchi tacos and they were fresh and flavourful. The soba salad tofu noodles were okay, there was a nice sesame dressing but could've done with a thicker sauce.

4.5 stars. Great little brunch place hidden in the CBD area of Auckland. I would recommend parking in the nearby parking garage to avoid the headache of looking for street parking. We got reservations but went early and were seated immediately. The servers were nice. The ambiance is very airy, fresh, and reminded me of a garden with painted birds and hanging plants. We ordered a cappuccino and a hot chocolate, which were both works of art to look at and tasty to drink. I also ordered a Cold Toddie, a refreshing juice of apple, lemon, honey and lots of ginger! Since it had a lot of ginger, I loved it. If you're not a fan of ginger, I would avoid this. For food, we ordered the Bowl of Mushroom, the Chuffed Bowl and the French Toast. The Bowl of Mushroom was a mushroom explosion in my plate and mouth, which I loved because I'm obsessed with mushrooms. So, if you're not a fan of mushrooms, this is not the plate to go with. The mushrooms are sauted with garlic and thyme, there is a mushroom paste on the side, some additional caramelized onions, goat cheese, raisins, crispy buckwheat with chimichurri and eggs on a sourdough bread. If there was anything missing, it was a little spicy kick, but that's just me. The Chuffed Bowl included quinoa with a tahini dressing, avocado, radish, buckwheat, broccoli, lettuce and an egg. It would've been nice to have the broccoli and lettuce sauteed with some garlic and oil so that they didn't taste so raw as compared to the rest of the bowl. But, otherwise, it was really good. The French Toast was a marvelous piece of food art. The bread was brioche and a "pillow" sized piece that had been soaked overnight, with a citrus mascarpone, apple, ginger, fruit compote, ginger-lemon honey and with candied walnuts and freeze dried berries. While I'm not a fan of French toast, I tasted this one and it was a rockstar. The mascarpone is the lightest I've ever had. The fruits accompanying the toast were delicious. My friend licked every last speck of the dish off her plate, that is how good it was. All in all, an excellent experience eating here! Pricing is at par with good restaurants in Auckland. They also sell some interesting coffee beans. I recommend coming here for sure!

Hello Chuffed - some tips coming from a restaurant manager with a 5+ years experience. These tips are dedicated for your waitress to improve her service. Visited on Good Friday at 1.30 pm 15% surcharge applied (no problem at all) Greeted by an Asian waitress with tattoo who pushed us to order as the kitchen was closing. Tips : Alternative way to not make customers feel uncomfortable and annoyed is to let them know as soon as they are seated "Hi just letting you know that our kitchen is about to close in ___ mins, are you able to order by ____pm" We clearly said we do not want berry compote on the pancake. It came with berry compote. She took it back to the kitchen, came out and said "Sorry as the kitchen is closed. We can't make a new one, but we can remove the berry compote instead." Hence the photo attached showed that the berry compote was removed. For me - this is RIDICULOUS. What if the future customers are allergic to berries or are celiac and the customers have to eat the Non-GF due to her not taking the order properly. Tips: We're humans - we cannot remember every request customers order. Have a pen and notepad with you to write down customers order and requests.

We went there a couple of weeks ago. I ordered iced latte and crumpets with chocolate mousse. I loved iced latte. The crumpet was not flavorful itself, but the chocolate sauce and bacon added some flavors and it went well with iced coffee. Such a nice place to have a brunch date with your loved ones.

While trying to kill a couple of hours after landing in Auckland I found this place. It was very comfortable and the scrambled eggs on sourdough toast were quite good. The service was friendly and unobtrusive. The place is cute and a little funky.

Some excellent reviews of this place inspired us to come for breakfast. Well, it possibly was a bad day in the kitchen, like the chef had broken their arm and was backfilled with an apprentice... I don't know how to justify its high rating otherwise. Salmon crumpets. The crumpets were nicely arranged on a plate with some salmon, sauce and greens. Sorry to say that but these heavy tasteless pieces of dough barely could be called crumpets. Even store-bought version could give odds to it. The same story happened with pancakes whose taste was a far cry from their appearance. It was embarrassing to see how someone put good efforts into serving the plates but failed in making a basic dough. Such a waste of good ingredients and time. If you're into crumpets or pancakes I really-really suggest you look elsewhere or stick to smth else. (I don't even want to mention the price tag for this poor excuse for food as there are much better ways to spend 27$ per plate ) The coffee, on the other hand, was top-notch. The barista seems to have confident hand and good skills. Definitely recommend.

Great hidden away gem in Auckland. Really interesting menu with great coffee to accompany. Plenty of seating around the back so don’t be mistaken when you see a more traditional coffee nook when you arrive. The crumpets are amazing!!! Absolutely worth the trip :) Great spot for a break when shopping the clothes stores in the area.

I should haven’t been fooled by over 4 stars google rate on this place. The worst Bliss bowl I’ve ever had. It was just a full of parsnips & rice! Little hint of soggy tiny kumaras with bruised avos on top. Such a unpleasant presentation.. I felt unblessed (still now). I tried anyway but just terrible. Rice was watery&sugary (not sure what sauce they put in there).. just parsnip-py! Seriously $25 for this? Are you joking? I rarely leave foods but I left half of it and went to another cafe for coffee and snack. Plus staff didn’t even care if I enjoyed the food or not. Not welcoming vibe either. Do not waste your $$ here go somewhere else. There are plenty of good places around.

Made a reservation. However, they didn't ask for our reservation, but we got seated really quickly anyway. It was quite busy, so I would recommend making a reservation if you do go. The food was really nice and big portions which were very filling. The restaurant has a nice breakfast vibe and helpful staff. Definitely recommend going for breakfast or brunch!

One of my favourite inner city daytime eateries. They have a warm, sunny, semi-enclosed deck that feels both very chilled and very urban. Fantastic menu and delicious food.

We ordered the chilli scrambled eggs (was definitely spicy!) with extra mushroom and the salmon crumpet. Both was yum and the coffee was great. It was such a cute little hideaway cafe, great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Chuffed a nice cafe with some great bird died on the walls and murals on the buildings just outside the cafe that you can see through the windows. The avocado toast was delicious and this place is definitely worth a visit.

Busy little cafe. Pros: loved the comfortable bench seating outside. Nice music. They serve cold sparkling water with the meal. Cons: no WiFi. The French toast was just okay. Not sure what they soak it in, water maybe? Plenty of mascarpone but no citrus flavor. Was hoping to get the pancakes I saw on google maps but they are no longer on the menu. The other items on the menu look and smell really good tho.

Had brunch here. It was absolutely delicious, the staff were as attentive as you’d expect and the outdoor seating was nice on a sunny day. I had the french toast which was lovely and my partner had the muesli which wasn’t anything spectacular but did the job.

Whilst visiting Auckland for the FIFA Women’s World Cup earlier this year my partner and I visited Chuffed for breakfast. Recommended online, we figured it was a place to go and the wait in line suggested the same. The wait was so worth it. Many people were coming and going to get coffee during the 15-20 minute wait. It seemed like a small and hidden space within the CBD but once we were seated, we were met with a spacious, clean and bright space with attentive staff. As for the food… well you can see how gorgeously presented it was in my photos. The food was so good and I remember struggling with the menu simply because many of the options were looked tempting. It was a fantastic breakfast/brunch location and I wish I could go again.

Lovely brunch in a cute outdoor seating area. I was a little disappointed that they had recently changed the menu without updating the website and now seem to have fewer options (no crumpets 😔) but what they do have is great, I had the avocado toast with cured salmon on the side which was particularly good, my wife had the French toast and also enjoyed it.

Came here for Sunday brunch and it was delicious, I ordered a side of roasted tomatoes but two of the 4 were underripe and extremely hard and bitter, other than that all the food we had was delicious. The coffee was amazing! It was a little expensive but due to the location it is expected

Great food, great coffee, tad expensive for the portion size of the home made crumpets, also felt like it could have been a tad bigger as well. Overall great though

Is there a better breakfast in Aotearoa? This one would take a monumental effort to beat. Chuffed is hard to find easy to like.

Great Place to brunch. Sitting outside without the downsides of outside is the best. Great food and great service. We had eggs benedict with bacon and with salmon. Both to die for.

Hidden secret in Auckland CBD. On arrival we were greeted with sparkling water (at no additional cost) for our party of 5. We didn’t book so we were extremely lucky to get a table. It was a Tuesday so I would recommend booking a table to avoid disappointment as it became quite busy. The food came out super fast and the service was friendly. The meals were substantial and filled our bellies. We felt like we were eating at a local cafe instead of the CBD as the city noise was minimal. Glad we stumbled into this wonderful cafe. Highly recommend a visit.

There is only 1 word for this place....Awesome. the coffee was on point, the breakfast choices were well balanced and the food was exceptional. If there is a line, it's worth the wait, we came here twice on our trip and we will be back again next time.

Great food, great coffee and great service in this lovely cafe tucked away on High Street not far from Freyberg Square. The main seating area is outdoors when it’s fine and indoors and sheltered from the rain when it’s wet. And it’s a nice quiet spot for when the conversation is as important as the food and drink being consumed.

One of the last bastions of hospitality on High Street, this famous yet discreet cafe will leave you feeling Chuffed about locating it. Top notch kitchen, friendly staff, and of course, good coffee. Unpretentious but classy, for even a humble visitor.
