If you don’t mind the small portion size and the rude untrained staff, it’s good place. At least food tastes great. Firstly ordered 5 dishes including Wellington beef which claimed for 2-4people. However we ended up order another 2 dishes later. So total we ordered 7 dishes, the Wellington beef was around $85 but look at the portion size below. Besides, the young woman staff keep taking our plates away with/without asking! So impatient. My friend was still eating and there was a big piece there! She just took it away without asking! SOOO RUDE. When we ask for menu again, she was passing by and act impatient to us. We were coming for a slight fine dining experience and a good service here then ended up very unpleasant experience. Won’t come back again.

Moxie is one of our favourite restaurants! So many restaurants seem to have almost the same menu and decor these days 🥱 - but Moxie never fails to disappoint! Delicious, mouth-watering dishes… with flavours from around the world! Their food is outstanding! Every dish we have ever had has been amazing. The decor gives off gorgeous, summery, Beverly Hills vibes and the service is, without fail, friendly and attentive. We are more than happy to travel from the other side of Auckland (Howick) for such a great experience. All I can say is if you haven’t been go! And, if you have been…well I know you’ll be going again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely loved my time here. Everything was delicious, staff were super attentive, friendly and you could tell enjoyed their jobs. That was my first time ever trying beef Wellington and it was delicious! As was the cauliflower and wallaby toast. Thanks for a great night!

I honestly cant recommend the High Tea highly enough. Being from the UK and being a huge fan of high tea i'm a tough customer to please but Moxie it was perfect! Not only was the food and tea really delicious, super fresh and tasty but the whole dining experience was exceptional. The staff were super friendly, welcoming, attentive to whatever we needed and really made us all feel part of the family! The deco is beautiful and with all the little touches to make the whole experience fabulous. It was my first High Tea in NZ but it defiantly wont be my last at Moxie. Thank you!

Having just moved into the area, we're working our way though all the local eats. Heard from a few people that Moxie was a spot to try out. Went there on a Friday night and despite the full house, the service and food was fantastic. Notable items were the fried rice and the roasted carrots. Cocktails were creative and executed perfectly. Great neighbourhood spot.

Hi James & Amy, I was the Dj at Phil & Cheries wedding last Saturday night. I'd just like to say thank you for everything - the fact that you allowed us early access to set up was appreciated, the staff are friendly and amazing and really helpful, and the food was beyond amazing! I've eaten food from all over the world, but that chicken was the best I've ever eaten. The flavours were mindblowing, the presentation was on point and the service during dinner was beyond par. Moxie Restaurant is such a cool venue - nice and cosy, well laid out and you were both extremely welcoming. Out of all the weddings I've ever done, Moxie has to be one of the best venues I've ever played in! Once again, thank you for being so accommodating and I'd have no hesitation in playing there again. Thoroughly recommend the food, and the experience as a whole. Thanks guys!

Excellent Food and service . My friend summed it up nicely “Alex just wanted to let you know the food from Moxie was amazing. The Beef Wellington was as good as Bob Bob Ricard in London! Have been to Moxie countless, countless times and never had a bad experience! Service is top notch, all the waitresses are so friendly. The menu is always changing up and keeping things fresh. It’s actually quite a romantic vibe as well so great for dates. If I’m looking for a nice dining experience and can’t be bothered going to the CBD, Moxie is my first choice and should be yours to.

This place just keeps getting better. The waitress was amazing. Honest and attentive. Told us not to over order which we really appreciated as we ended up with more than we could eat as it was. Highly recommend the Korean chicken shared dish which was fantastic and both slider starters. Actually, every dish we had was faultless. A north shore Go To.

👏 EXTRAORDINARY🎊 Attended a private work function here with a fixed menu. The physical environment was a visual feast for my eyes as the food was for my palette. The food was beautifully presented, with descriptions of each item. Bite-size portions were perfect enabling us to try most offerings. And the flavours were . . . orgasmic💖 Highly recommend 👌

Dined for the first time at Moxie to celebrate Valentine's Day. James created a set menu perfect to celebrate Valentine's day. The food was incredible, cocktails were amazing and the service was impeccable. We cannot wait to come back and experience the regular menu.

Ate here twice in the span of 48 hours. Loved every minute of it! Very popular on the weekend, great fancy dinner option. Delicious sharing options and great portion sizes. Cocktails are the best!

A group of 4 of us couldn't make up our minds between all the great sounding shared plates. So we had all 8 of them, and the debate continued as all were fantastic.and generous portions. We had just enough room to share a couple of desserts. The flavours coming out of the kitchen were outstanding and waitress Carrie really looked after us. If Moxie was down the road from us we would be there every week.

My friends and I just had an awesome High Tea to celebrate my birthday.. EVERYTHING was first class.. food, atmosphere and the people make you feel so special! I have had high teas in many places in the world and this was THE BEST! ( I can’t believe 2 tables didn’t turn up.. they really need to take deposits on booking)

Moxie has THE best food in Auckland. The environment, decor and service are most adequate but not so over the top to the point where it makes you uncomfortable. They put their main focus on making the food tasty. All of their dishes are well designed and executed. Their Beef Wellington is a must have. I will be recommending this place to all of my friends! Thank you, Moxie, for the wonderful experience!

Absolutely outstanding. One of the best meals I've ever had - and for a good cause too. Service and my cocktail were also top notch. Really can't recommend them highly enough.

A lovely night out at a nice and homely restaurant I had never known existed down here. There were candles and fresh flowers on the tables, everything was clean all around, and the service was very pleasant; loved the cocktails too. Venison and beef wellingtons were the tantalising stars of the menu, but since the BW is made for two, I'll have to come back for the venison another day because you rarely see that around. Everything was simply great.

This a great local restaurant with a playful menu, relaxed yet attentive service, and a great atmosphere. Check out their website, they have a bunch of stuff going on and their site is the primary channel to see what's happening. We have been here many times and always leave delighted. Their high tea is also fantastic if you're lucky enough to get a booking.

I booked High Tea for my 82 yr old Mum and me. What an incredible experience. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and has an amazing atmosphere. I couldn't fault anything 100/100. The food is lovely and as for the ladies that run Moxie, they make your experience very personal. My Mum is on a walker and they treated her with kindness and respect and also have a ramp outside which is great. I can't recommend Moxie High Tea experience High enough. If you haven't been or have been thinking about going just do it. You won't be disappointed 💖
