We
stayed
in
the
garden
apartment
for
a
month
during
October
and
November
2015.
We
used
the
apartment
as
a
base
from
which
to
visit
family
and
to
explore
Auckland
and
the
North
Island.
It
was
ideal
for
what
we
wanted,
close
to
the
beach,
an
enjoyable
stroll
to
the
shops
and
entertainment
at
St
Heliers
and
Mission
Bay.
There
were
many
buses
running
straight
into
Auckland
Centre,
about
a
15
min
ride.
The
accommodation
was
comfortable,
very
clean
and
well
presented.
The
accommodation
had
all
the
basics
for
self
catering,
although
cooking
facilities
are
limited
we
managed
to
cater
for
ourselves
throughout
our
extended
stay.
The
owners
are
very
helpful,
they
even
did
our
laundry
on
a
number
of
occasions
and
loaned
us
an
iron.
If
we
needed
anything
or
wanted
to
know
anything
about
Auckland,
they
went
out
of
their
way
to
help.
The
B&B
worked
well
for
us
as
a
long
stay
base,
but
would
also
be
ideal
if
you
just
wanted
to
stay
a
few
days,
in
my
view
a
better
alternative
to
a
hotel.
