5/5 wine recommendations (had an Argentinian red and white was from Venice) 5/5 vibes. (live musician was present but we didn't get to hear him. We left around 6.45pm) 4/5 food. (Ricotta Gnudi was soft and pillowy) Thank you lovely staff who recommended the exceptional wines 🤌🤌

Excellent experience from the online booking to the end of the evening. Very warm welcome even tho we were an hour late. Lovely atmosphere, beautiful food, our first experience of cocktails (we are beer drinkers), the live soloist was world class, the other patrons were very welcoming just an overall amazing experience. Nice place for a date. The dining area at the far end is perfect if you want some quiet space away from bar area. Food was 5 star. Not an exaggeration. Smelled good and tasted great. I enjoyed everything i ate. Forgot to take photos of starter coz it was that good i went straight into eating. Lol.

I came here with high hopes, there were so many 5 star reviews. The staff were great, but the food quality and portions lacked severely. Auckland resteraunts has an extremely high standard, for the price this place doesn't cut it. Choose another, there's no way I can recommend this place.

Loved it!! Wonderful hospitality, gluten free options avail, care taken with approach to food requirements and relaxed kindness in presenting options available. Asked if I was ceoliac or intolerant, a question i greatly appreciated. Food was well presented, generous portions, delicious and fresh. Beautiful atmosphere and happy hum to the place , highly recommend! Fav dish - The Fresh Fish Tacos! Would go back any day for - The fried Chicken with roasted red pepper mayo 😋

Great food and service - We had both tacos (fish & chicken), calamari and some parmesan truffle chips - the blue cheese/aioli was something else! Staff we're lovely and friendly when explaining what the desert of the day was to my daughter. Would trade again 🔥

These guys know their wine collection. Very professional in explaining what you will taste in each wine tasting sample. Definitely will bring a bigger group of people next time to show off my knowledge of good wine tasting places... lol

Been twice now and the staff are very welcoming and provide great service. Did the sharing meals for our small group and was tasty & delicious, cocktails were on point. RnB singer Stowers performed and was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, will definitely keep returning with friends and family to enjoy.

FANTASTIC! I hosted a private event at the Jervois Road Wine Bar. Benjamin and his team facilitated the best event with fantastic food, wines, cocktails, music, and dessert. Benjamin and his team put their personal touch into making this venue special and were beyond accommodating into making our night the way we envisioned. I couldn’t recommend this venue highly enough. I am currently sitting here at the table wondering how I have never heard of this place before. We found it from First Table which usually are fine but disappointing. I can tell you now I am not disappointed. After the meal I had tonight I am positive there isn't anything you could order on the menu that wouldn't be absolutely impeccable. Very impressed and if I could fit more food in my belly, I would! This place is designed to have small plates. But the quality makes up for it for sure. Photo of my empty plate because I ate it too quickly to take a photo of my meal. I had the Calamari and the Wagyu Beef Brisket!

Wow. Sublime cocktail (mandarin /gin), tasty food - melt in your mouth lamb - and wonderful service. We have throughly enjoyed our evening and we’ll be coming back.

Really enjoyed this. The service was friendly and attentive. All the food were really tasty with the highlights being the lamb cutlets and the fried chicken. The only criticism is the pretty average accompaniments to the mains which were the same.

Good food, good vibe. We had heaps of space for our group of 7 and well lit, some places you have to use your torch to see the menu. Good food, variety of options and special dishes. Very petty plating and a variety of cocktails and non alcoholic options.. Try the brisket or cheese board.. Good vibe, there was live music and dancing on the one side and a quieter dining area on the other. Book ahead so you get a nice seat for your group. Benjamin and team was accomodating lovely and the birthday plate was appreciated. Thank you... we'll be back...

Food was incredible we had the slow cooked beef brisket. We had the garlic bread for started and it had Carmalised onion on top which didn't agree with my sensitive tummy :( Dessert was nice too. In regards the table service, i found they were constantly around our table topping up water and asking did we want wine. Just a bit pushy and hard when your trying to catch up with your date. Food was incredible though.

Pricey food and drinks but they know how to make decent margarita that's more than a couple of mouthfuls. The live singers are really good too. Lots of locals go here.

The chefs can really cook, we had 3 share plates, lamb cutlets, prawn tacos and cheesy garlic bread with caramelized onions. The lamb and prawns were cooked perfectly. Where they fell down was the flavor, a few spices, a sauce or even some salt would have elevated the dishes to a 4 or 5. Service was good, we had a seat away from the noisy bar area, opposite the open kitchen which was fun watching the chefs at work. Recommended but not highly, a few small tweaks to the food and could have been so much better.

I can't reveal just how much I love this place without revealing how many times I go there. The wine list is extensive, and the food backs the quality of the wine. staff are fabulous. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Friendly staff, small quantity of foods. Goat cheese croquettes, 2 tiny balls for $18.00, approx 2.5cm diameter - $9.00 each, very rich, cheesy Ricotta Gundi (approx. small 10) for $32.00. Beef Tartare was fresh, authentic but $26.00 small portion. Nothing quite wrong with food quality but can’t justify the price and quantity - lucky to give 3 star as staff are very lovely. It’s recommend for weekend drinks and nibbles but definitely not for dinner.

When you go to a 'wine bar' you can expect they know their drinks, which these guys exceed at. However, what really caught me off guard is how incredibly good the food is. Top that off with the most personable and knowledgeable staff and you're guaranteed an excellent night out.

Went for a first table and the food was spot on. Ended up staying for an extra 3 hours having drinks, the place was full with a big birthday group and the place was pretty busy and a good atmosphere so why leave?? The manager was awesome and would definitely come back next time we’re in town!

We came with empty stomach, and left with full stomach 😋 Great food. And awesome service!

Came on a Friday night for dinner, drinks and the live music. The vibe in the bar is super fun, very lively and the music is awesome. Crowd is a bit older (late 40s, 50s) with the live music matching this era. Good selection of wines, cocktails and beers (including a few non alcoholic beers). Food is very much bar/ pub vibes and quite honestly doesn’t seem to match up with the vibe / crowd. Feels like the menu should be a bit more sophisticated. Menu is mostly burgers, tacos, selections of fried food. There are a few proper mains but only like three. We tried the pork belly sliders (yum), shoestring fries with truffle oil and Parmesan (this was a bit weird as this is only the fries on the menu but we were given plain fries with ketchup. When we queried this, she apologised and said she had put through the wrong item but like there wasn’t even an option for fries and ketchup on the menu???), the beef tartare (husband had and said it was delicious although would have been better with bread or crackers rather than tortilla chips) and the cheesy garlic bread with kimchi (was a bit odd but still good). Food was definitely on the more expensive side for portion size We had a great evening and would definitely come back for drinks and the music and snacks but would probably have dinner elsewhere or just not plan for a proper meal

Really disappointed with the manager. I had ordered a drink and when it arrived it had a pineapple piece on it. I explained does this drink have pineapple as I am allergic, he said yes and told me oh well give it to your friend. I had paid $30.00 for this cocktail. He further went on to say you should have said your allergies, but on the drink description said no where mentioned pineapple. I was treated rudely and felt so uncomfortable. I will not be returning to this bar.

Really great little spot in Ponsonby. Beautiful ambience and the food was great too. Pick of the night was the Jervois Fried Chicken and the homemade ice cream. The staff were attentive & awesome as well.

Delicious food, especially the calamari and the tartar. Even better cocktails, so many delicious sounding ones on the menu and the four we tried were great. Really good service as well, and the food came very quickly.

Just went to a birthday party there and it was a lovely evening. The staff were all really great offering great service in a friendly polite manner! A really nice place for a drink or two and something to eat!! The food was all really nice too! Try it out.....
