One of a kind - cosy, quirky place with fine wine, great beer and good food. Staff are charming and the vibe is nicely laid back. Added bonus: great fish and chip shop across the road.

Great little jazz wine bar they have some fantastic jazz players that drop in. Very warm and friendly atmosphere. A nice place to be chilled and laid back listen to some great tunes with well priced good wines and spirits. The food is pizza and cheese board varieties they are all yummy.

Wow! What a crazy place. Bought tickets for a jazz show and the place was packed to the rafters...and a bit uncomfortably so. Great atmosphere wine and a few beers and cocktails available for purchase. They also did a pizza for the show but it would have been hard to try and eat as we were all so close to each other. The music was the best I heard in a while. 👍

Love returning here when back in Grey Lynn. There are 3 pubs in the centre of the West Lynn area of Grey Lynn and whilst they are all great this is the favourite. A busy locals' bar with excellent wines and guest craft beers and excellent thin based pizza to comply with the licensing regulations that food must be available. A pop up market was happening there this morning. So many things inside a small place, very interesting. Book, antiques, second hand clothes, food.

Not many bars boast an atmosphere like this one, old jazz style with great drink options, the barman really knows what he's doing! Records playing, piano playing, sheltered outdoor area. All round a super spot for a drink!

Came here for a jazz night - wonderful vibe, wonderful staff, yummy pizza, yum cocktails. Only gripe would be the small tables that couldn’t fit much food/drinks at once but the place is meant to be intimate! Was a $5 koha for the live music but if you didn’t want to pay that you were still able to be seated outside.

A very Qauint pub situated in a nice corner of Grey Lynn... Usually go on a Thursday when they have a Jazz Night.. Great Vibes....staff super friendly...and a great selection of Beers n Wines...

Walked here after dinner Sunday night thinking great place for a night cap, didn’t realise they were holding ticketed event, nothing mentioned on the outside . Cautiously walked in to have a look only have the a rude guy push us out with no chance for us to say anything. In hindsight wish I heckled. Rude and uncalled for. Lucky the bar down the road was open and very accomodating. 0/10 wouldn’t recommend

Atrocious service, expensive average wine, what else we say! Our group did not even get a chance to order food and left after 40mn of being ignored by the pretentious little waiter/bartender. We are locals so will make a point of not recommending to others.

Had a lovely time with a friend from Texas. The bar staff are happy to accommodate any cocktail requests...wr had a couple of whisky sours of exceptional quality. the music is worth a visit on its own merits. double bass and classical piano made it even more special!

Had such a wonderful time last night, it would be unjust not to make it known! The staff have perfected the art of hospitality. The baba ganoush was delectably smokey and our cocktails were faultless. An absolute treat, thank you!

Great Grey Lynn neighbourhood bar with a relaxed down-at-heel ambience. If you're lucky the owner will be working the bar and he may feel inclined to tickle up the old upright piano with a medley.

Entered not realising the bar was holding a ticketed event.Really rude staff member pushed us out. Asked if we had a ticket, then said you need to leave without giving us a chance to say a word. Definitely need to work on how they treat people really disappointing behaviour.
