Just being here for dinner with a friend. The restaurant was pleasantly decorated. Comfortable sitting. Warm atmosphere. Service was friendly and attentive. The food was tasty and the dessert was special. The place was crowded and I strongly recommend that you be early for easy parking and be assured of your table. Try it out. I think you will not be disappointed.

OMG, how come I only knew about this restaurant recently?! This is definitely one of my unique dining experiences here in Auckland, a good one. Very harmony combination of Japanese, Filipino and Kiwi cuisine and ingredients. I really enjoyed the taste and the presentation. One thing that makes the restaurant so successful is the 5-stars service! The young waiter puts on his lovely smile all the time, he is so passionate about what he is doing, he explained the deserts one by one to us, you can feel the energy that he loves what he does. The Japanese lady is remarkable! She is like a elderly friend who takes good care of you. Highly recommended, no wonder my friend said "this is one of my favourites in town", it becomes mine as well. Love Love Love ❤️❤️❤️

I came by for lunch to try it out since I was in the area. There is a parking lot for the shops in the area. It isn't very big but there were a fair number of parking spots. There are two doors into the restaurant but it seems that the one on the left is the main entrance. The doors slide open but it's not automatic. They do have a fair number of tables on both sides of the building. The menu was quite interesting, with a range of Pacific and Asian inspired dishes. I grabbed the satay of the day as well as the pork belly inasal. The dishes were quite nice to look at. There were multiple components which made the plate a bit busy but the flavours were nice. The satay was lamb and it was grilled quite nicely. I enjoyed the pieces of wanton wrappers around the dish as well as the sticky black rice turon which was like a rice spring roll. Very interesting and nice with the satay. The pork belly inasal wasn't very fatty, which I was disappointed about. However, it was also quite juicy and not dry despite the lack of fat. It was reminiscent of a roast pork dinner with the root veges and mushroom sauce. They also did have a dessert cabinet but I had already left the table so possibly for next time. It was a really nice place for some tasty-looking and delicious dishes.

Dining at Chiko’s was such a pleasant surprise. Had dinner here and everything was just great - the food (taste and presentation), the staff, the atmosphere. We ordered the ordered oysters, seafood sisig sushi, and single pata grande. Everything looked beautiful and tasted amazing. Special shout out to the oysters that were so fresh and matched perfectly with the ponzu sauce and the crispy pata that was so tasty, juicy and crispy at all the right places. I’d say this is one of the best dining experience I’ve had in Auckland 💕highly recommended!

One of Auckland's hidden gems. The level of service and quality of food is fine-dining level. In fact it surpasses some of Auckland's most acclaimed establishments. Something about this place does not make sense. The service, the food, the plating and presentation, the desserts. Very underpriced for the quantity + quality, without any pretentiousness. It doesn't feel real. After dinner, we looked back at the unassuming exterior design and felt like we had been in a speakeasy. A 5-star experience hidden inside a random local restaurant on the side of the road.

Chikos is a beautiful Pacific Rim Fusion restaurant situated on Lincoln Road, West Auckland. The customer service here is world class, with the food being really flavourful and delicious. On the two occasions I've dined here, I've been amazed at the exceptionally pretty presentation of the food, which tastes as good (if not better) than it looks. I'd highly recommend this place for a family dinner, a special date night, or to take someone when you want to surprise them and give them a very memorable experience. This place is amazing, and the staff are really lovely and thoughtful. The beef dishes, pork dishes, salmon dishes and desserts in particular have all been incredible the two times I've been here. Very keen to dine here again soon. Yum! 5/5 Stars! *****

We enjoyed an amazing dinner here for a special occasion. Meals are beautifully presented and delicious flavors with lots of attention to detail. We had prawns and satay for entree and the beef cheek with oxtail confit, and butter curry king salmon for mains which were all amazing. The service was great and they took time to explain all the dessert options. Being alcohol free they had great mocktail options which we enjoyed.

The pork knuckle was a hit, anyone coming to this place should try this dish. Other mains ordered such as pork ribs and angus beef cheek was above average as well, definitely worth having a visit.

Chikos offered a medley of cuisines, from quesadillas and chili coconut curries to sashimi and other culinary influences. Their Pacific Rim dishes were plates of art. We dined here for dinner as a group of five, and really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, eclectic menu and warm customer service. I ordered Bicolandia, a dish with thin slices of pork belly in a shrimp coconut sauce, served with ginger rice, tortilla and various vegetables prepared in multiple ways. It was a bit overwhelming when it first arrived, but I enjoyed discovering the dish by combining the different components in many ways. It was creamy, lightly crispy, tangy, a little spicy and moorish. The dessert menu was an interactive experience and introduced to us in person. Each dessert was presented as a sample for us to see first before we ordered. This was a very fun and clever way to engage with a menu. I ended up trying the Tea-Sa-Miru, a tiramisu inspired dessert with cream, sweet red bean and tea infused jelly, accompanied by a shot of matcha tea. It was interesting and tasty, but I ended up with dessert envy because I tried someone else's apple crumble dessert and couldn't stop thinking about theirs. Come here if you enjoy fusions and trying new things.

I was in the middle of eating the pork belly on lettuce and was wondering why the small piece of lettuce wasn’t coming off my finger, and then i realised it was a whole living CATERPILLAR. I got quite a fright as I was so close to accidentally eating it. We brought it to the staff’s attention but they didn’t take anything off the bill which was quite disappointing considering the shocking experience I went through. I encourage the chefs to wash the lettuce carefully to prevent this from happening again in the future.

Delicious food! Delicious dessert. A bit on the dear side but great for a treat and very generous portions! Ribs were so full of meat; flavours balanced perfectly. Sticky, sweet ribs, and balanced well with the accompaniments. Recommendations; port with the chocolate bavarois dessert, a delicious tasting platter and chips which are nicely cooked with the right amount of sauce and Parmesan on top.

Fantastic operation, so good to have this level of food in West Auckland. Chiko and her husband are true hospitality operators. I loved every bite, delicious, delicious food, genuine warmth and slick service.

This place is nice and cozy, the food was delicious and afterwards you can pop over to Peaches And Cream next door to make your date night a little better. Unfortunately got an ant in my cocktail so that's my only issue.

Very nice place with very friendly staff greeting you on arrival. The waitress was very good with going through the specials. It was a short wait for the food to arrive. After the meal she brought over their dessert selection and explained it all. Well worth the visit

Would have to be the best place in Henderson. The food is Sensational full of flavour, great portions. You can’t go past the deserts. Team are really friendly and atmosphere is welcoming. Don’t be put off by the location, situated in a group of shops (takeaways). Worth the trip there.

Really nice fusion of Japanese, Mexican and European flavours. Tried 4 different dishes and was impressed with all of them. Excellent quality, decent portion sizes, slightly pricey but well worth it. The presentation of the food especially was outstanding. Well worth going back to, and will try the desserts next time.

Amazing. I have wanted to try this restaurant for a long time! With its 800 high stars reviews! Was a wonderful birthday night. What was better than the beautiful delicious food. Gorgeous, kind, attentive, professional staff who really went out of their way to offer an exceptional evening. This barely exists anymore.

As someone who has been a loyal customer to Chiko's for many years, today was a very disappointing experience. My family and I have been dining here every year at least 2-3 times a year for the past few 4 years, always come for birthdays or if we were celebrating good news and every time we have been there before it was a amazing experience but today really changed our whole families thoughts on this place. As someone who has worked in hospitality for multiple years before, this is a really sad thing to say but I will not be returning here again as the service was appalling. Let me tell you why. My family has spent 280 dollars here today and with that amount of money you are expecting a good meal and some nice service right? But what we had was extremely slow service right from the beginning, it took the Japanese lady Bara 15 minutes to hand us menus and that’s me having to go up and ask her for some. I was trying to get this blonde girl to take our order but she told us to give her a few minutes as she was waiting to serve some food up which I 100% understand. But the way she stood there for like 4 minutes at the food pass and just waited, in that time she could have taken our orders and gone back would have not affected anything at all. That girl was slow at taking our order and doing anything in general. We had ordered 3 entrees and 3 mains it took at least 35 minutes for the starters to come. Presentation never disappoints here but how long it took to serve the food is shocking. Couples who had come after us had already started to eat their mains is a little bit “????” That’s not even the start. I understand that steak takes a long time to cook so I won’t go on about that but when the steak had arrived the fries where cold and they hadn’t cooked the steak to medium well but to rare. It was nice that they remade the fries and took back the steak to recook it to MW but the the serving size was a joke, the steak was the size of my palm and I have small hands which for $45 something dollars is not worth it. I had ordered another drink and the drink took 10 minutes and the bar was literally around the corner. Honestly I can keep going on but everything is just so shocking, miss Blonde had the speed of a snail, the kitchen was slow, food was really average for the price that you pay. Bara did give 10% off the steak for the muck up which is $4.55 but for the experience we had that is not even merrily enough. It looked like there were only 4 staff in the whole restaurant running this place, 2 chefs and 2 waitresses. This just whole experience here today was just disappointing to another

Nice place, tasty fusion food, great presentation. I love the steak and platter. The Tiramisu a bit too sweet for me, the feijoa ice cream so refreshing. I loved it!

Went to dinner here lastnight and my family and I had the three course set menu. The food was amazing, absolutely quality food. Every dish was delicious. Best food I’ve had in a long time and the staff were very attentive and delivered quality customer service. I will definitely return again and highly recommend this for anyone looking for 5-star restaurant quality food and customer service.

Great, delicious main meal. The beef short ribs were so tender and mouth watering good. Both of our desserts were also great. The Halo Halo is well worth trying. One thing they do need is a sign on the other door,. The service was great. Everybody was so cheerful and very helpful. The ambience was also great.

Very nice, high end restaurant in West Auckland for special occasions. Would expect something like this in Ponsonby or Parnell. Presentation was on point. Staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive. We ordered the Special sharing entree for 2 which had variety so opted for another entree, the Seafood Chowder as my main. My husband originally wanted the venison main but they had just run out. The disappointment was quickly deterred by their suggestion in substituting the venison with lamb loin instead which turned out to be a good idea as it was cooked well. Would come again to have dessert with main next time as we were too full to have any which we noticed the staff visually presenting the dessert options in glasses (clingwrap covered) on a tray to other customers.

A little bit of a hidden gem on Lincoln Rd. We've driven past so many times without realising this is an actual restaurant. The food taste and presentation is excellent. The staff are so nice and attentive. The only thing letting this place down is how much food we got for the price. Definitely worth a try.

My partner and I tried Chikos for the first time and are already excited to go back! The food was outstanding. The flavours, presentation and portion sizes were spot on. The staff were kind, informative and made us feel very welcome. I don’t usually leave reviews but Chikos deserves 5 stars and more. Thank you Chikos!
