This is an astonishing not well-known fall and trekking path, a hidden paradise. The fall is just a 40min walk from the carpark and is absolutely beautiful. Once down at the fall's base you can start a 2.5-3 hrs trekking through the river, absolutely worth it, till a hanging bridge (see pics). Then, from the bridge is another 1.5hrs to the carpark at Horsman Rd. The walk through the river is AWESOME, the path is all marked with orange arrows so you don't get lost in the bush. You will have to cross the river several times so be prepared to get your feet wet & muddy. I highly recommend wearing a nice pair of lightweight shoes and you'll be fine crossing the river without worrying about getting wet or stepping on sharp rocks.

Great day out!! I really enjoyed the walk and the views. I advice to start the trip from the metallic wooden bridge so you can finish the walk along the river and not have wet feet all the way through the walk. Proper shoes are recommended! Do not take the river walk if the water level is high; it might end up been a dangerous walk... The waterfall wasn't full power as it hasn't been raining much lately but was still impressive. It's an amazing feeling to be surrounded by nature like that with a waterfall, a river, birds and beautiful kauri trees (please make sure you clean your shoes before entering the forest in order to protect them!!!!).

This was a great walk. It was low tide but still a sight to see. Hiking wise, I got my boots dirty which is always a highlight! The scenery was great too...would definitely do it again!

The Mokoroa Falls Track starts at Horsman Road. You pass the junction with the Goldie Bush Walkway on your left after about 5 minutes It is 2.2 km (1 hr 15 min) back to the junction of the Goldie Bush Walkway and Mokoroa Stream Track, and a further 1.3 km (35 min) to Constable Rd

Well worth the walk in. Took us about 1.5 hours along the river but could easily be 2 on the tough track and your boots will get wet! Many river crossings. About 1 hour home on the high road. Worth the walk in. Very pretty

Great short walk close to the city. Takes about 25 minutes 5o reach the falls. Track is very well maintained and not muddy even after recent rain.

Take the Goldie bush walk to the falls. If you do, you'll need to cross the river (by walking through it, but don't worry it's pretty shallow) about a dozen times. It's an excellent walk. Don't forget to pack a walking stick to help with the river crossings.

Amazing walk to do. Depending on the entrance you take the waterfalls can either be an hour and a half or a 5 minute walk... Either way it's worth it

Great place to relax, play, swim, take photos, all you expect from the great New Zealand bush! Can hike down them, or just chill at the look out, very few people go here, so there is some privacy at some parts of the year, especially when the kids are at school.

This is a hidden gem! Not a long drive from Auckland. There is a little walk to the falls and the falls are so so beautiful and refreshing. We loved the walk and also swimming in the falls. My 4yr old managed the walk fine and you can take a stroller to the look out but not down the stairs to the fall. So it's relatively child friendly as well.

One of the best waterfalls in Auckland, views were stunning. Highly recommend to go there especially on a sunny day.

👍👍 Some of the best falls in Auckland with a short 5 min walk from the beach carpark (parking is very limited) just some helpful notes are that the road to the Falls are very narrow and you will have to stop and allow cars to pass in places. If you are not a confident driver you may find this intimidat...
