Pukematekeo Lookout

Tourist attraction Scenic spot

👍👍 FYI! It has two one way roads, one on either side of the hill so you will likely find the entrance before it says you have arrived in maps. Almost looks like someone’s driveway with a gate on it. Once your up there it’s a awesome look out, you can see up to all the west coast beaches and all the way... People often mention view,

FYI! It has two one way roads, one on either side of the hill so you will likely find the entrance before it says you have arrived in maps. Almost looks like someone’s driveway with a gate on it. Once your up there it’s a awesome look out, you can see up to all the west coast beaches and all the way back down to the manukau harbour and the city. May have to come back sometime for a picnic.

The hiding gem that locates not far from Waitakere area. Take you date woukd be perfect spotted to build great memories. I recommend got sime take away food, sitting in the car then after finishing meal. Get off the car and sat watching the view. Paradise! 😊

Beautiful spot drive through. Happy place for doggie. Very quiet and hidden gem. Lovely sunset views and city views, quite far away but still visible and pretty. Gates close at 9pm for summer. There are no rubbish bins or toilets around. Fun little spot to enjoy peace and hang out with friends for a picnic. No places to sit so grass would have to be it unless wet and muddy. Quite enjoyable and cool. Not too windy but can get chilly at night.

Some of the best views of Auckland make this a favourite place to visit. A bonus is the view over the west coast of Auckland as well.

The view is amazing on a clear day, and a great journey to get there. Council needs to show it a bit of love though.

Best views of the city. On a clear day you can see the West Coast, both harbours, many of the islands in the Hauraki, even as far as the Hunua ranges. Lots of space, and lots of walking trails. Wear strong walking shoes because the tracks are quite steep.

Beautiful lookout would be much better if they cut the tops of the trees or weeded a little down the hill

A nice place what isn't too big but has some great views. Also the entrance can be easy to miss so keep that in mind.

If they cut some of the bushes short it would be a nice little look out.

Beautiful scenic Vista. Lovely place to stop and just enjoy the view. Like being on top of the world.

Good view but parking is limited, careful it’s not paved or even, no signposts, otherwise it’s worth it - quiet spot :-)

👍👍 Some of the best falls in Auckland with a short 5 min walk from the beach carpark (parking is very limited) just some helpful notes are that the road to the Falls are very narrow and you will have to stop and allow cars to pass in places.
