Perched up on the highest point outside of Auckland. Beautiful views of the surrounding bays and Auckland skyline.

On busy Auckland, this is a large and peaceful setting owned and managed by Maori. There is a memorial for the landmark settlement of conflicting claims for the land of New Zealand. You will find large expanses of grass, gorgeous flower displays, and striking views of the harbor. And tranquility.

Evertime I go up here, I forget what a fantastic view it is. The Michael Joseph Savage memorial is beautiful, with the surrounding flower garden. I would recommend Bastion point especially on a summers evening, having a dinner picnic on the grass facing towards the city. Gives you the perfect view!

Bastion Point is a great spot to visit if you're driving along the waterfront and offers sweeping views across the Waitemata Harbour, Rangitoto Island and back to the city and harbour bridge. It's peaceful and usually not too crowded although parking is limited. The Savage Memorial Gardens are also well maintained and there's plenty of open space for picnics and the kids to run around.

Good views. Well conserved. Too bad some idiots go there for grafitis. There is a path to go to mission bay.

Nicely planted out with flowers but the pond needs cleaning up and the pond filter needs upgrading there are also broken concrete structures and Fountains that are leaking water. As this is a monument no different from the Taj Mahal it up keeps should be of the same standard as many buses of tourist visit it daily. Auckland city council charges so much for rates. This is a reflection on the whole of Auckland city council as it is good at building infrastructure and under-budget contracts that blow out by billions to complete. Misappropriation of rate payers' funds into new infrastructure that will also fall, victim, as it ages and is not properly upkeeped.

Well maintained grounds and gardens, just beautiful. Kept very tidy and free of rubbish. Nice place to go relax and look out over the beach and watch the boats etc. A walk down the stairs and you're at mission bay. One of my favorite places.

Nice memorial, great view to Auckland Harbourland Rangitoto island (dormant volcano).

Lovely gardens. They are well kept and have beautiful views of Rangitoto at the top. We took our puppy as it's an on-lead garden. We walked up the way cars would drive and there wasn't a footpath. Easier access would be from the end of Mission Bay car park, through a tree-covered staircase.

Great view from high spot that you need to walk on a very steep street! But is worth it...

The view is breathtaking. You can see the city from the distance. You can watch the sunset while enjoying a picnic. With the lights on, the city looks beautiful and elegant. Then of course you can lie down on the grass and watch stars with your loved ones. Small tip: Carry a blanket. Sometimes it gets called when the sun goes down

👍 Nice Mini Golf right at the shore line, easy to get to by Bus from the CBD, good facilities and good prices. Certainly makes fun to go mini golfing there, also you have two different scenarios to choose from. Nicely build course overall.
