Amazing place to visit. Honestly can't believe it's free. There was a lot of families with kids when we were there, but would be great for all ages. They also have signs up telling you when different things are happening, such as milking season, which I'm sure are great to see. Also has a cute little walk nearby. I would highly recommend a visit.

Can't believe it took me this long to visit this place! It's very family friendly and there's a lot of open space to walk and run around. If you love farm animals there are sheep, cows, horses, pigs and chickens. There are also quite a few different birds and if you're lucky you might spot some rarer ones. The walkway is paved so no need to worry about mud unless you want to walk on the grass. It's also very flat so it's an easy walk if there are little ones or elderly people. A very pleasant place to bring the family without having to drive an hour. Would definitely return again.

Great place for a walk or take your bike for a ride around the local area. A working farm with animals for the kids to enjoy with great facilities. A campground, toilets cleaning block plenty of parking and places to enjoy.

Ambury Farm Visited the first time with my 2 year old, and he enjoyed it. About the farm 1) It's a huge farm 2) Selections of animals in the farm. 3) The animals are left free, and the best part you can go closer to them ( at your own risk ), but it's safe 4) There are no entry charges ( yes, it's absolutely free to visit and see the animals 5) Free parking space ,as well as campervan parking 6) Barbecue station to use and do picnic 7) Choose a sunny day It's a well maintained farm ,must visit

What more needs to be said about this park/farm. Very well run, free, and lots of information for the kids. Enjoy petting the farm animals and watching the ducks get around. Definitely take time to do the coastal walk around the farm as the peace and quiet in nature after the crowds is well worth it. Shoutout to the bunny rabbits that sat up next to the fence to allow fingers to brush their soft, soft fur.

Surely a must-visit in Auckland - I was quite skeptical at first but I was impressed after spending a few hours there. Great place to spend the day at with the kids and to have a picnic too! Ample parking available. All the animals are quite friendly and the ambience is generally clean. Plenty of space to walk, run or bike around. If it's a hot day, remember to pack a lot of water.

A regional park closer to the Auckland city or the central. Really nice place for a weekend gateway with your family or for a picnic in the weekend. You get the chance to see some animals and seated by the beautiful greenery. Moreover astonishing sunset can be captured here I believe sunrise are the same. A campaign ground area is available in a side of the regional park and I noticed drinking water and toilet facilities around the corner.

The Annual Ambury Park Open Day, we had last been there 24 years ago. The parking was well marked and directions could be easily followed to reach there. Many families with young children had come there. We were able to walk through the paddocks to view the farm animals very close. The birds were in their cages and chicken freely roaming around. The highlights were sheep shearing, sheep dog guiding the sheep and cow Milking. Keep a lookout for the open day date next year in November.

Great park that has lots of animals such as horse, pig, duck, chicken, sheep. You can even stand close to them. Good place for family during weekends. There's also a small garden. Free entrance fee.

A must place to visit. Had a great time here! Really fun place for kids since you can get close and touch & feed farm animals. Suitable for all ages. Couldn't believe that it's free.. Lot of parking space. Have lot of places to have a picnics, few benches also. Walking and bike trails. Animals are quite used to humans. Check the notice boards before feeding animals. Better to bring some lettuce, carrots (i.e. bread not good for most animals)

Good Park to chill and walk around, animals around you and we can even go in the fence and have a close interaction with them. camping place already available right there but need to make booking earlier if I’m not wrong. Public toilets maintained in good condition too.

Love the waking tracks and animals. It’s a great place to visit for a quiet picnic, bird watching, or to see the farm animals. Would recommend for families or couples looking for an afternoon spent outdoors.

Is definitely a good place to go either alone or with the family. You can find lots of beautiful animals to see and learn, good tracks to run or ride a bike and it has even a place to do camping so is just another piece of paradise at South of Auckland . But please remember is a place to enjoy at the same time to look after so please remember to take the rubbish with you.

Surprisingly we have an amazing petting zoo right in Auckland. Had fun patting the farm animals. There are some walking & bike trials around this park which I couldn’t do due to lack to time. I will share my experience when I do it.

Many, many family outings here. Much enjoyed by kids, parents and grand parents. Our kids love patting and feeding the sheep, rabbits and calves. The rangers are lovely and encourage kids on to take part in farm activities.

Great place for those who want to experience a taste of NZ farms. Would highly recommend it for people visiting NZ or families. It's free, you can touch the animals (some are very friendly) and it's easy to access.

We came here not knowing what to expect. It was difficult to find any information about it online (access, animals, parking, etc). We weren’t sure what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised with the experience! (It is not quite like a petting farm/zoo) But, the park is quite easy to get to and easy to find. There is a camping site located near it (so there was lots of people around, which was easy to know where to go). Parking was available on the field, which was convenient. We went on a Sunday in the summer, so not sure what activities are available other days of the week/times of the year. Once you make your way through the main entrance, it’s feee roaming from there. There were a few pigs, sheep (very friendly!), goats, and rabbits. The park is quite vast so bring comfortable walking shoes, and enjoy the scenery. Worth a visit if you’re around, although the availability of the animals may change!

Always such a good day here, especially with kids. My two year old loves it, he can run around safely, and meet and greet lots of animals - pigs, cows, sheep, chickens and horses.

This is a must visit place that kids of all ages from 2 up to 80 years or more can relate & enjoy the farm animals. We got to watch the cows being milked at 9.30-10.00 am.

Totally recommended park. The scenery is amazing, plus there are a lot of farm animals to see. Good for picnic and relax. The area is really big, having a bicycle to roam around would be nice as well.

A great place for the whole family to enjoy. Working farm - you can walk around visiting the animals in their well maintained areas. Highlights were the beautiful chickens & cows for me. Ample parking with BBQ facilities available. Unsure of the current camping situation though (June 2023)

Such an awesome place for a family outing. We were lucky enough to watch the cows being milked. The person demonstrating was very informative. We saw her later on and she was lovely and happy to chat further and answer questions. The picnic benches all along the side of the road are fantastic

Amazing animals that we can pet!!! Definitely recommend coming here. Except for the chickens. Please don’t chase them to pet. 😂

Joined the Tree Planting there organised by Council yesterday to celebrate the special day. There were many families attending and little one were all very excitedly screaming and running in the sunshine, then had a great time with animals. It was just a extraordinary place and activity for kids and families.
