I drive past Craigavon Park several times a week, and finally decided to make a pit stop. On the Portage Road side there is a big, fully fenced playground, with wide open spaces, picnic benches, BBQ -, and toilet facilities. It's a great dog and kid friendly park. There are no steps, and it's pretty much even throughout. There are work out stations and equipment throughout the park. There is a carpark, as well as roadside parking. As you head towards Kinross Ave, it becomes denser. You can choose to stick to the wide road with some awesome native plants on the side, or you can opt for smaller tracks. This leads you to the middle of the jungle (it's the only word I can think of!). There is a pond and a stream that runs from end to end. It is quite dark and dense in places, and the humidity just envelopes you. The walkways are well maintained, or the more adventurous people can go totally bush and create their own tracks

Wide paths, plenty of native ferns and huge trees. Safe and dog friendly - love the workout stations along the way and there is a well designed dog training/exercise area too. This superb Park isn way bigger than I had thought! Definitely one of my faves, well developed play ground, dog water station and very well maintained. Very impressed with its history as well. No climbing or stairs, ride a bike or pram friendly too - good for any fitness level with a relaxing ambience - loved it, even though we got caught in the rain 😊

Possibly the best dog exercise area and walk I have had out west in a while. We have been coming here for the past few weeks and it has been an absolute blast for our pooch. There even is a local coffee car serving fresh coffee before we journey out to the obstacle course to test the limits of our dog. While out and about we see tones of other avid dog walkers who all want to treat their pooch to a nice walk.

Craigavon Park is a fantastic place for dog walks and exercise. The nature trails are not only beautiful but also offer a peaceful escape. My evening walk with my wife was a delightful experience, surrounded by nature's beauty. It's a must-visit spot! πŸŒ³πŸ•πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ #CraigavonPark #NatureLovers #QualityTime

The new playground is great. Not so synthetic anymore, wooden and water beats plastic and steel hands down. If you are too old for a playground then the walking circuit is great also. Nice to walk through the grounds and see all the lovely huge pines. There’s also a great exercise area for dogs.

A very cool park, playground, dog obedience course, exercise stations, and mature + regenerating native bush. Also, only a short walk from Green Bay Beach.

Great walk. Big open grass area to play with dog. Playground for kids. Doggy obstacle course. And great little bush work out stations all along the bushwalk. You can easily do your run and morning workout all in one go.

Perfect park for kids of all ages. Lots of dogs around too, but not in the kids area. Clean toilets, water fun, fence around the play area, climbing fences, slides, locked gates, parking within the park and on the street too. Easy access by multiple roads, bus stop drops off at the park too. Lots of trees and shady areas.

Beautiful Park, very well kept and the walkways are well signposted. There’s a very cute beach that surprisingly has a lime tree dropping fresh limes onto the sands to the dogs delight 😊

I like this park, my kids enjoy it. My kids are afraid of dogs, and I know this is a dog park, but the kids area is nicely fenced off. Has a wide range of things to play with like a water play area, climbing area, swings and medium size slide. Can get busy at times.

What an amazing playground it's locked and fenced so kids are safe...good for Littles and the big kids...there's even water play...And to top it off a massive grassed area to take the dogs for a run to set up a picnic blanket there's picnic tables also...And a concrete walk that's pram and wheelchair friendly

Excellent walking trails. Huge feild/doggy playground. Toilets, benches and picnic areas. Playground for kids. This park has it all. Free (but limited) parking is also available within the grounds. Plenty of parking on street.

A beautiful spot/ rest area full of N.Z. native trees and plants. Friendly ducks, close to shops.

It's local for us and a great place for a bit of exercise. Plenty of tree cover in the summer and well formed tracks. Kids playground remodelled/rebuilt quite recently and plenty of room for dogs to run around as it's a dog friendly park.

A nice large park with exercise trail (which is pretty old but still doable) to follow if desired. Good place for dogs to eat or people to walk, ride or just sit. Good kids playground with water area too. Skate park just across the road also.

Really nice little walk for all ages. Toddlers on bikes, easy for pram, etc. Dogs are allowed off their leash and halfway there is a little dog activity playground type thing. Lots of adventure opportunity for little kids.

Awesome dog park, so many friendly dogs come here to meet each other for the first time or see again their regular dog friends. Can have your dog on or off their leash. Lovely open bush walk can also take your kids here to play at the playground. Some exercise stops for you to get a little workout in πŸ˜‰ some Awesome big fields you can let your dog off to play catch or just get some cardio in for the dog and yourself πŸ˜‰ in the centre theirs a playground for the dogs to play in, quite basic but fun for smaller dogs I've noticed. BYO water bottles as no water taps around. Public toilets next to the playground. Lots of off street parking around the entire park or at the kids playground.
