One amazing place for anything to do with kiddos. Be ready to spend at least couple of hours here, playing on playground, exploring hidden spots of the park (beach included) and enjoying spectacular views of Auckland.

Nice and spacious park with gorgeous waterfront views and beautiful big trees. Lots of room to play games, picnic or soak in the scenery. Cafรฉ nearby too. A great destination for a weekend walk.

Beautiful little spot for a stroll in the park. Kept clean and tidy with good parking. The basketball courts are a nice addition, and decent playground facilities for the kids. Best of all is the tranquility of the view out to the harbour in the morning.

Very busy place indeed. Enjoyed the park being accessible. Need more stable pathways down some tracks that lead to the bay

Nice spot to relax and chill in a windless sunny day. There are BBQ and picnic tables hidden in the shadow of the trees. Limited carpark, but easily accessible toilets next to parking. Be aware that the sand can hide dog 'mines'.

Great park with lots of space and equipment for kids to play on. Good - spacious, lots of greens, trees and shade, itโ€™s close to the beach and there are cafes close by. Bathrooms and changing rooms are also available which is good. You can get to the beach and some nice fishing spots through the north end of the park. Bad - parking, while free, is very hard to find in a busy weekend. Equipment is getting very dated, Could do with an update. Great place to picnic and relax!

I love the huge trees ๐ŸŒณ. Beautiful park for family outings and playground areas for the children. You can stroll around admiring your surroundings and breathe in the fresh air. A place for a family picnic.

Beautiful park. Well maintained and nice place to walk. Recently started a basketball court. It has a nice kids play area too. I love the sea view there.

A park that's in desperate need of a refurbishment. The flying fox is often stuck, the whole playground looks sun-faded and the rubber foam on the ground where the children play have come apart. However I love the train that the children can go on and the access to the beach which will make this such an awesome spot in the summer.

Gosh, his place is busy like mine with our grandkids, love those playground areas has a level height and easy access for me. Just wonderful to bring your family picnic here to entertain themselves outdoors. All you need to bring is the Nets, Balls for, volley rugby, and soccer go for walks and beautiful scenery here ๐Ÿ‘Œ ๐Ÿ˜‰

Havenโ€™t been to the beach but you could get nice access to the rock where you can fish. Caught a few snapper around 30-35cm the other night. The car park is like a couple of minutes walk but be aware that the gate closes at 12:30am.

Loved the cold breeze coming from the waters, playground for kids, free books to read but watchout for bikers they wont mind hitting you when you're walking down the path. They will surprise you coming from your rear. They will expect you'll go down to the side with their tiny bells ringing.

It's a great park, and quite big. There is a big playground, and lots for the children to do. There are 2 issues which made the day less enjoyable. The carpark is very small. Many people had to park 1 or 2 kms away, and walk back. Many parked on yellow lines, because it is so small and limited. Access to the beach is very difficult. If you're young and lithe, then it's no problem. There is a narrow winding staircase with no railing. On the other side are steep ramps covered in sand, which makes it very slippery, or a lot of steps, again without a railing. Otherwise it's a beautifully kept park, with amazing sea and city views, and lovely big old trees.

Lovely walk around the park with beautiful views of the Auckland Harbour. Access to beach from carpark, beach is tidal but at low tide has rocks and caves to explore. Playground is a bit dated and needs some shade but still good for young kids. Toilet facilities on site.

An exceptional place to walk, to rest, to play. Beautiful views throughout the seasons. A peaceful place to reflect, rejuvenate one's spirit and then return to work. Accessible, present, enduring. A piece of heaven on earth.๐Ÿ™‚

If you go before 3pm the best time. It's hardly busy. but afterwards fills with a lot of people with dogs.

Itโ€™s a beautiful park, picnic spot, with gorgeous view of the Harbour bridge and city. Playground for kids and beach access for swimming and fishing, all in one spot for fun day.

Loved it. My daughter liked the train ride but would be a bit of a problem if park was packed. As there is only 1. The huge slides are awesome for adults and their children to go down.

The train is good for the kids, ours love it There's all sorts there for the kids to do Swings, net climbing Baby's love the piano/xylophone & walking around main playground, ramps, tunnel & around crocodile statues.. They have a good layout. Good for toddlers to walk around & get better at walking

Lots of space but limited carparks. Beautiful views to the harbour Bridge. Park is great with lots of flat areas for picnics and marquees, the only thing is that you have to go down steep path to swimming beach.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Wonderful place for the kids, with alot of safety measures taken but be ware it's not an enclosed park and it might be risky if the kids will run out to the road. But generally it's a fun place for the kids and an open space for the adults.

๐Ÿ˜  I went 2-3 times to eat mahaparsad. But it has happened every time that after eating when we washed the dishes there was no dishwashing and we just clean with water and then they wipe with cloth to eat for next time. But dishes are not clean without soap. Thatโ€™s not hygienic at all.

๐Ÿ˜  Paid $13pp for an entry for the tulip festival but only to see tulip in one spot(near the entrance packed with people taking photos).
