This is our local beach and visit regularly. It has a relaxed vibe and plenty of space even when busy. Great for families and singles for all ages. Fantastic playground for 2 - 15 year olds, and skateboard/scooter/bike bowl for all ages as well. Bars and restaurants look onto the reserve and the beach area and are always lively. Parking is ok, I normally manage to find one close but sometimes need to walk 5 mins to the beach.

The beach is close to the town which means you can park the car and enjoy shopping. I love the location where you can walk to grab a coffee and sit on the bench while looking at the beautiful beach. There are restaurants and bars close to and if you want to do shopping. It is just a minutes away !

Browns Bay Beach Reserve is my husband’s favourite beach in Auckland. We both visited there for the first time on 3/2/2024. The beach is very tranquil and peaceful. As there were not many people at the beach, we pretty much enjoyed our time and had a relaxing stroll along the beach. We highly recommended you to drive there and enjoy your lovely day if you happen to drive to the North Shore.

Walk on the beach, grass or boardwalk . Beach facing cafes and restaurants have fabulous views of the sea. Area is dog friendly, but check council rules. The Stoned Cafe, located in the small town square, is very dog friendly! Shops are located on main street and side roads .

Absolutely beautiful spot to go with your kids. They have done a lot of work around the beach front to make it family friendly and there are a number of cafes and restaurants within a short walk to grab a bite. And what more could you ask for that some sunshine and beautiful coast line.

Probably Auckland North Shore's premium family beach. Big, long with lots of white sand and kid friendly splash water. Great views and a chilled vibe. Dogs welcome on a leash at specified times of the year (check online before bringing your friendly pups with). Water has a small gentle gradient out, so you can walk far into the water with care. The beach can be explored in both directions. Enjoy!

I went at night but the sky was still bright and the atmosphere was romantic.

Lovely family oriented cove with sweeping views of the blue ocean. Rangitoto smiles contentedly from the horizon. Lots of opportunities to swim, kayak, or enjoy the beach. There are lots of cafes and restaurants in the vicinity. Mixed crowd that frequents the area, though. I might be cautious about hanging around there after hours.

Amazing place for a walk or just relaxing. There are a few bench’s, a kids playground and toilets on the Reverse, and plenty of restaurants around. Parking can be a bit of issue depending on the day and time.

One of my favourite beaches in the north shore area. It’s small and sometimes you may struggle to find carpark, but the vibe is very family friendly and there is bbq, shade, public toilet, shower and heaps of nice places around to eat. Bring your picnic blanket and spend the day!

Hard to beat apart from the car parking situation which is pretty dire due it to being a popular place. Good very nearby eateries, cafes & bars behind a cracker sandy (not stoney) low-gradient beach. Good for dogs off-leash, as by-laws permit.

Easy to get here by bus. Many cafe, restaurants, shops, spa, and 2 big supermarkets here. Clean park and beach. Fresh air.

Great beach just like the ad. Can see rangitoto in a good weather. A swim is even better. The north shore beaches are safer to swim as Rosedale treatment plant is small and. It much overflows on rain water

The kids always have a blast when we are here. There's a lovely playground for the kids, and the beach is also just there! We have lovely BBQ's there as there is a lovely grass area to setup for the day. The bathroom facilities close by as well.

Our family favourite beach. We spend all day here. If you have kids I recommend this beach as you can sit on the bank and lifeguard from there. Great playground. Supermarkets and shops within walking distance. Heaps of trees but take your own tent as well. Alot of parking if you arrive early, but one always becomes available as locals come and go after their walks. Highly recommend!

A nice big and quite flat reserve adjacent to the beach as well as the town centre. A great place to relax and enjoy a barbecue but can be really busy especially in summer or sunny days. Finding a parking spot is often a big challenge.

Always a big fan of this spot. Great playground although disappointing today as was under construction but hope it gets bigger and nicer sooon. The whole site Has been under construction for long time so hopefully we will see it all functional sooon and with no more ugly fences around.

Great playgrounds & skate park for children. Good swimming. We had a wonderful day. Picnic lunch under the trees. Lots of room for everyone to safely distance. Walking along beach I found several beautiful shells. Jazz our dog enjoyed seeing other dogs and running off the lead. Celebrated 34yrs married in a special way. 💕🌹💕

A town centre by the beach, Browns Bay is always busy, especially during the summer. Still water sandy beach with large grass area, Browns Bay is a hot spot for the locals. The Main Street is like a shopping centre with local businesses. There are a few eateries with specialty stores. The reserve has a playground and skate park. The parking is one hour.
