One of the best beaches in Auckland. As the name suggest the beach is long. Even at peak times there are plenty of spaces to swim and never feel overcrowded. Plenty of places to park and many bbq locations are scattered around. Water is warm and great for body boarding. This is our go to place during the summer for swimming. Make sure to pack a tent, beach umbrella or a shade as the beach gets super warm.

Beautiful view, cool breeze, its is a good place for walking taking the kids for a day out during summer and hot day, alot of spaces for parking and trees for sitting under the shade and enjoy the view. Beautiful recommended. One of our favourite outgoing beach so far.

A beautiful white sand for kids to indulge themselves in sand play ! Warm water and good spot for picnic! The only problem is that the beach is polluted in some area like really disgusting but overall one of Auckland’s must see

What's a neat, long and private beach. It is a great place for friends and family pinic. Plenty of Pohutukawa trees, and very festive vibe during December.

Love this beach, it's my fave place to take the kids. The water is generally calm, no big wave. Lots of space on the beach. Take an umbrella or tent or gazebo if you can, on the beach itself there's no shade :)

Awesome place for a bbq or a picnic. Complete family fun. Great for kids and adults. The park is well kept and is massive. Parking can get busy on weekends even though the space is huge. It’s a beautiful nicely kept beach with superb views and do much to do. Lovely for a nice romantic walk by the beach as well. It’s one of the most popular beaches of Auckland.

Great place to hang out with friends and family. The beach and the reserve is big and has several sites which can be booked for the group picnic. The sites have BBQ stations, toilets and changing rooms. Great place to hang out on sunny day. The beach is calm and shallow so makes it safe for kids and for those who can't swim. No dog allowed in some of the sites during bird breeding seasons

That picture was taking a couple weeks ago, Beautiful location excellent for the family, very safe. Very Long Beach never really seems to fill up. Also some excellent walks right down to the end of the beach.

Great for children. Nice walks, not too hard or too long. Tracks wander through Bush, grass lands and down to beaches. Tracks well maintained

One of many great beaches in Auckland, loads of car park spaces, areas for bbq and pitching up a tent/marquee. Lot of groups come here for the day out in the sun, birthdays and of course for a swim. Heaps of space to play games.

One of the best beaches of Auckland. The views are breathtaking. Has ample space for the whole family to have a picnic and areas for BBQ as well. The walk along the beach is one of the most scenic ones in all of Auckland.

Beautiful beach, perfect for walks along the shore. Lots of space and was not overly crowded. Low tide was the perfect time to be there!!

One of the best beaches to visit hands down. amenities are available and looked after such as common sheds, bbq stands, water fountains, showers and toilets. Definitely my current favorite

Great spot for a family picnic. Lots of car parks and easy access to the beach. There’s kids park, toilets, showers and lots of good spots to set up a bbq for a family feast.

Ohhhhh Long Bay, in summer baby, it's so perfect for a delish swim in these calm waters. Peaceful and relaxing, like being on a Pacific Island in the north, not many fish to be seen! Have to go to Goat Island to see the little fishys. There is some lovely walks around these parts and I always see families on picnics having lots of fun!
