First time here. Great place to take the dog for a walk or just to chill. This time of year you are better to stay on the metal paths that the volunteers keep maintained otherwise you end up face down in the mud like I did. I’ll be back with my grandkids😂

Great park for those who like a bit of everything, not a large area but still enjoyable walk that is good for those who are trying to improve or are new to fitness or have small children. Pictures speak for themselves. Very peaceful and tranquil. This place has character, i especially liked seeing the wooden carved tree, signs of an old tree house platform in the pines and the chain on the tree if the cliff above the sea, a place where life was lived:). Bit tucked out of the way great place to let your dog free in a good allocated space.

A basic track and fairly short also. Access down to the beach is a bonus. Not overly well maintained, however it is ok. There is a kids track also as well as additional tracks in the back section which us used for horse riding, nice facilities for changing and a bathroom stop and if course a drinking fountain.

Dog, bicycle and family-friendly park. There’re plenty of parking spaces. Track signs are not clear so just watch out. Easy to walk around according to my wife.

A fantastic multi mode leisure park in the North Shore. Great to walk your dog or take your kid for a BMX training session on specially made tracks or do your usual horse riding or have a short tramping exercise. 200 degree views of Whenuapai, Herald Island and Hobsonville over Lucas Creek are so beautiful! Great toilet and shower facilities plus a kids park makes this a complete family friendly spot to spend the day.

Very nice and stunning views. Clean toilets and showers. Plenty of walking and biking tracks about. A big WHY 3 stars are gone is no signs showing many tracks have been damaged by cyclones or floods. My son got an accident because no sign of a broken track and he disappeared in front of my eyes. Very scary once I found him in a big hole full of mud and in blood. We were really lucky he was safe and only shocked. Guys plz take extra care

What a magical place!!! Such a cool place for kids and adults all ages. Awesome bike and walk tracks. Saw lots of people with dogs - cant comment if on or off leash as didn't see any signs. The playground is small but awesome!! Only negative was not much shade by the playground but nothing hats and sunscreen can't fix!! Great facilities - toilet and cold shower. The view is truly amazing! Can't wait to go back!! truly worth the short drive to the peninsula.

Very nice reserve, with walks and bike trails. Also it has trails for dogs walking leash less. A horse trail is there too.

Love this reserve. Huge off leash area for dogs that are fenced away from the normal walking/bike tracks. Then a beautiful walk to 2 beaches that are not sandy but still great to wonder along

It has two entrances, one is for the skateboarding and biking, the dog off leash park is at the end of the road for people who visits for their first time. There’s a big pond at the center, dog may love it but needs a bath later on.

Went there on ANZAC day, there was a dog party, so many dogs running and playing around, love this place. It is nice for dog owners to let it go off leash and just run.

We had a wonderful day at Sanders Reserve! The park offers stunning views and enjoyable walks, making it a perfect destination for families. The kids having a great time adds to the experience. Sanders Reserve is definitely a must-visit for anyone looking for a beautiful and family-friendly outdoor retreat.

A great place to bring the dog. Has an off lead area for dogs but no one puts their dog back on the lead for the remainder of the walk., nor do they have any recall control of their dog/s. But a beautiful spot!

This is a nice enough spot but there is no longer any meaningful mountain biking here. Whilst the map shows 22km of trails this has nearly all been reclaimed by nature due to lack of use/maintenance. The kids trail near the visitor centre remains, as does the 4km recreational loop (though with significant storm damage). I would recommend nearby Woodhill or Riverhead for mountain biking.

A great set of bike trails for young families to learn on. Did not get into some of the more technical trails though. Great views and really well kept facilities.

Better now that they have maintained the grounds a little since the wet weather, still some work to do on the gravel paths but overall a chill and safe place to go for a rural walk. Could benefit from more signage to remind people about on-leash areas as without fail there are dogs off leash in the wrong areas. If you have a reactive dog, just a heads up that you'll still probably encounter a loose dog or two in the on-leash areas, which is a shame. Not heaps though, so still worth it.

Such a choice place for a walk with your furry companion! Felt like it's so far away from the city but really accessible, not really challenging either but still an adventure

Spectacular reserve and bike park where you can spend the whole day having fun with family and/or furry ones. Great toilets and showers in very good condition and nice playground. Heaps of parking.

A unique hidden gem. Found this place due to Covid Level 4 restrictions. Suitable for walkers, runners, cross-country bikes & horse riding. Including an off-leash dog area. Very well sign-posted. Highly recommend

👍👍 What a whimsical experience! I got quite excited finding all the different fairy houses, and can only imagine how kids would react! The park/reserve is a bit hidden. There is very little parking. There is a lot of construction in the area. It's a bit hard to find, but definitely do make the effort!...
