great
beach
to
relax,
swim,
or
picnic.
It
is
a
wide
and
sandy
beach
with
plenty
of
adjacent
grass
and
shade
trees
to
get
a
break
from
the
sun,
if
you
need
it,
or
to
relax
in
a
blanket
for
a
picnic.
There
is
a
public
restroom
easily
accessible
in
the
center
of
the
beach.
A
few
restaurants
and
bars
are
located
on
adjacent
Tamaki
Drive.
There
is
plenty
of
free
roadside
parking.
We
especially
like
going
down
to
this
beach
area
for
long,
relaxing
walks
along
the
beach
and
the
ocean
on
the
wide
walkways.
A
lot
of
people
bike
along
these
paved
walkways,
too,
and
families
bring
their
kids
with
their
bikes
or
strollers
to
enjoy
the
time
together
outdoors.
You
can
walk
from
here
along
the
walkway
about
10
or
15
minutes
to
Mission
Bay
beach,
if
you
would
like
a
bigger
selection
of
restaurants,
bars,
carry
out,
and
ice
cream/snacks,
etc.
Definitely
one
of
our
favorite
beaches
in
the
Auckland
area!
