3 night stay at Brightside DAA hip replacement. All staff are extremely professional, caring, polite, helpful and go out of their way to take care of your recovery. I've been in many private surgical hospitals: Ascot, Mercy, Braemar, SX Gillies, SX Hamilton and SX Rotorua. Brightside Hospital tops the list. Our son just had a major back operation at this hospital. The surgeons, nurses and other staff along with the after care could not have been better. A special thanks to Simon, Mark, and the theater staff who were involved in the operation and to the many nurses and staff who contributed to his speedy recovery. Fantastic effort by all and could not recommend more highly.

Just got a minor procedure and stayed overnight. This was the BEST experience I'd ever had. If it was not for the procedure, I thought I was staying in a 5+ star hotel. The amenities are so nice, good selection menu, good staff, exceptional service. EVERYTHING was taken care of, more than everything actually, things that I did not think of would be taken care of also. Thanks to all the staff. Superb experience.

Best hospital experience I have ever had! Every staff member from the woman who greeted me at reception and every nurse male and female were extremely kind and helpful. I did an overnight stay after an ankle operation and was a bit wary of staying overnight in a hospital. However, it was a decision I would not hesitate to make again at Brightside - amazing service and care.

A fabulous hospital with absolutely lovely staff who are kind & caring. My mother was in for a knee replacement and she was very nervous but the first nurse we meet made my mother and us all feel so at ease. Then during mum's recovery the care she received was truly amazing both from the nurses and the doctors. As for the catering OMG!!!! it looked like she was eating at a five star resort and the selection of meals WOW!!!. I would recommend this hospital to everybody and would like to thank the wonderful staff of Brightside Hsp (Mum's nurse's - Liz, Barbara, Celine & Sharon) you have all made my mothers surgery & recovery alot easier. I spent a night in Brightside Hospital as I needed a right shoulder reconstruction. The entire team that looked after me was amazing. I felt at ease given this was my first time being admitted to a Hospital and was quite stressed. My room was very well setup, honestly cannot fault anything. Very thankful that I ended up here rather than in the public system. My Girlfriend works in Public Hospitals and spoke highly of Brightside. Appreciate the help and thanks Brightside team!!

I highly recommended Brightside Hospital, amazing and friendly Nurses, Staff, Reception. First step walked in was very warm welcoming greeted by Reception and I was looked after very well by Nurses, very nice room.

I had my surgery at Brightside Hospital on 09/September & I want to say a big thank you to every staff member for looking after me. Dr. Ashish Taneja is very kind & professional. The Anesthesia- Dr. Daniel explained to me how the process will take place & made me relax. All nurse staff went beyond their service & everyone was kind & humble. One male nurse (Adrian)was excellent. I will recommend this hospital to every New Zealander.. 🙏

Friendly professional facility

If I could give a lower rating I would. I went in for a 'simple' 20 minute procedure and ended up in hospital for a week with a life threatening infection. Then spent a further 2 weeks recovering at home. After finding out the anesthetic team didn't follow their standard process which likely caused the infection, thy were simply REMINDED of the procedure.

what can I say about this wonderful place! I was never nervous about my surgery cause I knew I would be in the best hands..... a huge thank you to Dr Kieran Dempster-Rivett, Dr Mark Fisher, all the amazing theatre staff, Lovely Nisha (Nurse), "Angel" Angie (Nurse) who was a welcome sight to help me on my feet for the first time after my surgery. Food was wonderful, gorgeous hospital, cant recommend it enough.

About to have my 3rd mini surgical procedure here and I am so happy that this is the hospital I have to come to every 6 months for my procedures! The staff are all amazing and the facilities are just as amazing! I love having a door that I can open and walk around the little pathway to get some fresh air!! Ive been in a lot of hospitals (seriously) and this has to be the number 1 hospital, Southern Cross Invercargill is a close second and a million miles ahead of third so I guess that says something about the Southern Cross brand and standard!

I stayed here at Southern Cross Brightside Hospital for 2 nights. I would like to Thank all the staff for the excellent work and care I’ve received while here. From the amazing Dr Koya and performing surgery on me for my kidney stones. Thank you for describing what would happen during the surgery and showing me pictures of how the stone was inside the kidney. I have had this procedure done three times and I must say that the information provided helped me feel more confident after it was done. I am now recovering fast with the medications prescribed by you and I am feeling much bette and thankful that there were not any complications during the surgery. If I could add more stars I would. I had surgery two weeks ago and this has to be the best hospital I have ever been to. I have never had a surgery before and was very nervous but the nurses where so compassionate and lovely that all my worries went away. Once out of surgery the nurses had so much time for me. When I felt sick I would press the call button and they were in my room in what felt like two seconds. They helped me to the toilet when needed and just all around were there to help. If I ever need to have surgery again I would 1000000% chose Brightside. Thank you all for the best experience! P.S The food was amazing and there is free parking.

I had total knee replacement on the 11/11/2022 can’t fault this hospital from reception to the operating table. A big Thankyou to MR Kevin Karpik and Mr Willenson plus all nurses at this hospital.Any one who’s concerned about having an op you are in great hands here and you soon the great staff will have you right and home in no time 10 stars Gary M
