Lovely coffee at a reasonable price. They roast their own beans. Great Saturday morning vibes. Relaxed and friendly. Ordered a Cold brew and a Tasting Tray (consists of espresso, cold brew & piccolo). Along with the coffee we ordered a bran muffin with blueberry and a hint of white chocolate.

Great Coffee, chilled Vibe and delicious food. Having been once before for just coffee, I notice the food on peoples tables looked pretty good. I had the Huevos Rancheros, recommended by them. It was perfectly light yet filling, definitely hit the spot. This time I tried the Barista Trio. It was the Fruit Punch Blend from Columbia. You guessed it… you get a trio of coffee which includes: Flat White, Espresso and an iced coffee. Definitely leave with a little buzz. The Flat white was perfect at bringing out the flavours in the beans. The vibe of the Café is just perfect, you’ve got light conversation, laid back music accompanied by a light hum from the roastery in the back. Plenty of window space too for those who love to gaze out with a mighty fine coffee. Being only 700 meters from where I am this will definitely be my local go to!

We came here on recommendation from a family member and so glad we did. The service was fantastic and we were made to feel so welcome from the moment we stepped through the door. Coffees were large and strong. They roast their own beans, so I bought some to take home and enjoy. The food was delicious (we had the homemade corned beef hash) and they very kindly spread it over two plates as were sharing. It’s clearly a popular choice with locals as it was fairly busy and there was a lovely buzz in the air. I’d definitely come back here and would highly recommend to anyone in the area.

Sunday lunchtime was kinda busy, there is no table service or individual menu's here nor is there a kids menu so grab a table take a photo if you're with a group of the main menu board behind the counter and you should be right. Because it was full we just managed to grab a table for 4 from a group just leaving, However it was awhile before the table was cleared only until our coffee's arrived did they decide to clear it. Food arrived quickly as we ordered 2 pumpkin omelettes with a side of bacon for one and a side of salmon for the other, it was absolutely delicious!!! egg omelette with dukkah, sour cream and tomato relish highly recommend. They must roast there own beans here cause there appears to be a huge contraption in a room you can view from the cafe. Thats why the coffee was so good, the self helping water taps are cool. The location of the cafe gets the morning and mid-afternoon sun so very pleasing and warm on a winters day.

Just had an awesome experience thanks to Mitch at Atomic!! I went there to get get advice on decaffeinated coffee beans. I was delighted to get the "real deal" from the processing of the beans, how to grind and what type of maker to use. To top it off, I left with a complimentary coffee & scone. Oh, I brought decaf beans too. I'll be back. Well done Mitch and Atomic Kingsland.

Really cool, spacious vibe in this place. The food was great and the coffee was even better. I will definitely be visiting again in the future to try some of the other interesting sounding items on the menu.

The cafe occupies a large building, and provides loud rock music. As there is little fabric to soak up the sound, this tends to reverberate and become quite distracting. The coffee and the service are good, although there is a limited range of cakes and slices to eat with the coffee.

Outstanding coffee. Tried house blend for flat white and then an Ethiopian single origin for a long black (not this one in the pic; this is a filtered long black with a Honduran single origin).

5/5 Cabinet Breakfast Burger 5/5 Black Coffee (they gave me foamed milk on the side to try out) 🤌 5/5 coffee variation (try the coffee tasting menu) Overall, very satisfied with my visit. A lot of attention to detail is appreciated. Thank you Atomic crew🙏

Great coffee & kai. Dogs allowed outside only, but comfy spots there. Staff had a certain disinterested-chic vibe on a Sunday morning - seemed they could all do with a pre-shift Powerade or cold shower!

Delicious vegan options 🌿 I recommend the vegan bean and avo burrito 🌯 but the smashed avo on toast looked great too. This cafe is busy, so don't expect a quiet spot. You'll be able to find a table though, as it's big!

Came in this morning for an almond flat white and was not disappointed. While it does take some extra time due to the popularity, it’s well worth it. Hard to find a place that does almond milk well, so worth holding onto when ya do! The woman at the till was super friendly and gave me a discount for bringing my own cup! While I got a take away, the environment is lovely and welcoming as well. Will definitely be back and highly recommend this place.

felt like trying a "new" coffee shop this morning , I was in my pyjama trousers and came to this one. Coffee is not bad ,to be honest.I was considering to get some beans from here to try for real. Service was...hmmm.... ok. (there was a guy was very nice and patient, dunt know his name. ) Maybe will come back for a takeaway coffee . Interesting interior and structure, very impressive. Worth to come to see

Great spot for excellent coffee and food in the heart of Kingsland, close to bus stops and the Kingsland Train Station. The granola is particularly highly recommended - it’s one of the best that I have ever had.

Best coffee in Auckland, which is saying something! Not a huge wait either, very quick and efficient, and food was even faster so overall a real pleasing experience. One of the few places I'll travel to get to, and will do it again!

Had a fantastic and informative time at the Intro to Espresso course. Our tutor, Matako, was very knowledgable and ran a smooth, fun class. Came away from the class with a strong understanding of coffee and new confidence in espresso making. Thankyou Atomic.

  • 5/5 Leo Casey W. 2 years ago on Google
The quality of coffee, takeaway beans, and service is phenomenal. Every time I take a sip of the coffee they have prepared, I will pause for a moment and think "Wow, life is good". The same thing when I open a bag of their beans and smell that sweet, sweet aroma. Even the design of the bag makes you feel good. I love you guys - keep it up. I will not buy my beans elsewhere. +1 happy java guy

i must give you 5 star for the coffee, i brew coffee at home and this beans it s one of the best i purchased in Auckland!I read reviews saying that the stuff are rude, not agree at all, very friendly, smile faces, professional, i got free espresso shot as i purchased a bag of coffee beans, i was looking the lady when she was make my espresso, just another level, she measure on scale how much coffee she put on in,the time and yeld was perfect,it s rare to see that, trust me! i ll be back soon aahha

Will definitely be back for the coffee but the food was not up to scratch. Service - excellent and friendly Coffee - awesome. Great selection of roasts and brewing methods. Food - Ordered the fritters which were an average 2/5. Chicken burger was really a massive let down and had no flavour at all. And the chicken itself in the burger was dry and had a slight salty flavour to it. Didn’t finish 1/5

Rude experience this morning by staff. Arrived early and was rudely turned away. There’s a polite way to greet and let customers know you are not open even when the door is open. Probably won’t return.

4 stars only because there is NO CHANGING TABLE in the bathroom. Come on guys - so many babies in prams here and you make everyone change nappies on the bathroom floor. Gross. Otherwise, food is great. Coffee is great. People are friendly. Cool.

Been here quite a few times, but today's avo smash did not float my boat. I loved the portion size and pistachio on it, but didn't rate the drizzle. The 4 star rating is mostly a contribution from previous times there when I had the roast pumpkin salad - that was top notch! Hope it returns to the menu. The venue in itself is very spacious, breathable, with a cool industrial outlook. They roast their own coffee which is delicious. Friendly staff and cool water fountain for still or sparkly.

Lovely helpful staff. I bought some take home coffee and they, unexpectedly, gave me a free coffee to drink at the café. I got an "atomic" take home jar because I liked the idea of a reusable container with no wasted packaging. They said they will refill it with about 350g of beans for the price of 250g.

This gem of a cafe serves beter Mexican food than most places in New zealand. Get their Huevos Rancheros. The last time o was here i was good the 2nd time it was even better.

Just had a lovely lunch and coffee with my flatmate, I had the hotcakes and they were divine! the pistachios complemented the sweet rhubarb really well, super yummy. Thanks guys xx

This place is a bit up and down. The coffee is reasonably consistent, the food and service bounce between being a pleasant surprise and otherwise, as per today, pretty disappointing. The $23 bubble and squeak was neither bubbly nor squeaky and worst of all, I suspect they were running out of ingredients because it was smaller than a child's meal. The table service was non existent and I ended up ordering at the counter, getting my own glass of water because there were no clean water bottles and having my table cleared only after my own meal (read appetizer) arrived. Obviously it's a great spot, but I'm not sure that'll be enough to save this place unless it can establish better, consistent food and service standards at these prices.

Excellent coffees. Ask about their “flight” coffees where a coffee is prepared 3 ways. Nice industrial decor.

  • 5/5 Daniel A. 1 year ago on Google
Wonderful location with great space indoors as well as along the street. Friendly and attentive staff. Sat for a couple hours in the outside seating with backpacking backpacks waiting to check in to the next place, it was a perfect spot with so much stuff I was lugging around. Coffee is good, and perhaps the most exciting is seeing their 3-wheeled brew-mobile (not sure what they call it) go off into the streets. Barely enough room for one driving that vehicle, but man it looks fun

By far, the best coffee in Auckland! I cannot recommend it enough. I usually buy beans (roasted in-house) and bring them home (or for lucky work-mates) but going in to buy the beans provides the opportunity to experience this amazing café's ambience! Beautiful, hand-made pottery complements the top-notch selection of coffees and treats and the wonderful atmosphere makes me look forward to the days when I run out of beans and have to go get some more! The Fruit Punch beans are now something that I will look forward to each season!
