Just a lovely place to go in the summer, or any season really. Excellent for walks, cycling, roller blading. Heaps of eateries to cater for all sorts of tastes. Atmosphere is relaxed and busy at the same time. There’s plenty of parking especially around the side streets. There’s also lots of large gorgeous pohutukawas to offer shade.

The best beach in a good atmosphere, just 7 km one way from Britomart, good for running. There are showers in the toilets and a good selection of cafes in the area. Mission bay is very busy on weekend afternoons and parking is scarce. The best time to visit is in the morning.

Beautiful beach with shops nearby for food and drinks. Plenty of benches, rubbish bins and grass space for sports and picnics on the grass.

Being close to city and some great food outlets, Mission Bay is by far one of the best hang out beaches in Auckland. There are some great cafes, restaurants, ice cream parlours, bars etc around as well. The place is perfect for workouts, runs, walks, beach hang outs and even dates😉. Well maintained and lovely to see. However, the toilets are being upgraded at the moment and I haven't seen any alternative arrangements close to the main car park. Even when they were functional, for some reason they were not open 24/7 unlike the other beaches like castor bay etc. This becomes very inconvenient at times. However, I think there is a 24/7 stone toilet at the rear end of the park which is at a distance from the main car park.

This place is nice. Nice beach and sand. The view is great morning or night. There is a very big and nice playground there for kids and the light at the fountain look great at night. I recommend for everyone who visits Auckland.

Mission Bay has a certain charm, specially after sun set when moon comes out, there’s calm, waves look glittery, it’s really breezy, a soothing vibe overall! ✨ You see families hanging around, pets running around in the sand, people swimming/ jogging/ running or grabbing a bite at the cafes/ restaurants (wide varieties available). Plenty of free parking spots available 🅿️ Highly recommend & a must do 🌻🩵🙂

Beautiful, morning, day or night. Sit on the beach with a BBQ or picnic, water sports or swimming, eating at one of the cafes /restaurants or simply taking a run or an rented Ebike along the water front. You can't go wrong. It's great spot for big groups and family. Very safe and dog on lead friends. There's also options to have take away ice cream and food!

During my time living in Auckland for university studies, I often found myself at this place, sometimes alone. It's a known spot for people seeking solace when upset at night. it offers a tranquil setting by the sea and sand. Just across the road, there are various shops and cafes available.

A lovely little park area and beach. It was suffering from high winds from the cyclone when we were there so we didn't go in the water, but on a nice day I could see picnicking and sitting on the beach for an afternoon. Good access and a wide greenspace for games.

Very nice and clean beach. Would suggest checking on safeswim before going for a bath! Clean bathrooms, nice areas for the kids and doing some sports. Best view ever!

Mission Bay is a beautiful place. The beach is beautiful, and the shops and cafes along the waterfront are very handy. It's worth a visit if you are visiting Auckland.

Mission bay well it’s a nice place but not as good as beaches on the shore. For travelers maybe a good place to say wow. Just a okay place to rest

One of the best spots in Auckland to relax and enjoy coastal walks along the shore. I took one star away for lack of parking spaces. Otherwise all good. When I went there was this lovely breeze cooling me in the summary heat. I saw many families and friends hanging around the Bay. There are Toilet facilities available. If you want to relax and have a reflective moment, Mission Bay can help. There are lots of eateries and pubs along the road. Be warned, meals and even Ice cream can be expensive for some ....

A great location to enjoy a walk by the beach n chill out. There are free parking by the road. Lots of restaurants and cafes to try. Beautiful neighbourhood Walk towards st heliers beach and enjoy the sunset.

Beautiful area with good parks, beach, food, and shopping. We went here just after landing and it was a great way to ease into our trip.

Favorite spot outside of Auckland. It was our first time in New Zealand and 1st Beach we were seen in August 2016. Lost of wonderful see shells and the views were wonderful. Great for a picnic or walk. Perfect coffee shop across from the parking lot.
