👍👍 Grab a coffee and walk down to the beach (St Heliers Home Cookery is great, cakes are superb but it gets busy in the morning). Plenty others. Walk on the boardwalk and chill. Not too busy as many visitors stop at Mission. Moretons is good for a beer and you can sit outside and look over the sea. Sup... People often mention beach, area,

Love walking and swimming here, there are quite a few lunch options.I love having lunch and just sitting on one of the benches and watching the water stretching far away. At night I find it quite magical sitting on a rock and staring into the darkness.

One of our favorite beaches in the Auckland area! A wide, sandy beach with an adjacent walkway and biking path. There is a grassy area behind the beach with beautiful shade trees, benches, and seating areas ideal for picnics. It’s a great beach for swimming or paddle boarding. There is a boat dock on this beach, also. There is a large park right across the street (Vellenoweth Green) with plenty of open grass for activities or family get togethers, and it’s iconic huge trees.

Nice beach that has a walkway along the perimeter. The walkway goes from the one end of the beach to the cliff face. Quite a large area to swim and just sit on the beach. The Cliff end also has a few rocks that goes out to the sea. There is a playground on one end with a public toilet. The shop are close to the enter of the beach so everything is quite close by.

This is a beach frequent by local residents and less crowded compared to other beaches in Auckland such as Mission Bay. There are a good range of eateries suiting different taste and budget. Family friendly. Best come around high tide.

Walked from St H beach to Mission bay and back this guy was sat at this table next to me he kept moving away and glancing back at me. He eventually moved to the next table . Waitress said I’m sorry sir that table is reserved. So he had to move back. If you feel like this man do me a favour stay home don’t make other people feel uncomfortable

Gorgeous beach, only surpassed by mission bay being so close to it. When the tide is out, the sand isn't really good for playing or walking on. Nice benches and sea front, public toilets need refurbed

Start walking from St Heliers up to mission bay or beyond. Good place to visit with family, friends or alone.

Very nice beach and ideal to go for a walk or a run- if you're a morning person, then you're in for a treat when out at the beach for morning walks/runs. Gorgeous views from across the waters...who wouldn't love a village right by the sea! 😍

👍👍 Some of the reviews here made me laugh. Giving a beach a one star rating because it doesn't have toilets or you can't find a carpark? Seriously? Go to the mall and stop insulting nature. Yep, it's a steep hike, not much parking and no amenities. That's exactly why it's an utterly charming place (alo...
