πŸ…ΏοΈ There are numerous roadside parking lots nearby, but on holidays, they tend to get crowded, making it a bit challenging to find a parking spot! At the entrance, we noticed many customers and thought we would have to wait a long time for a table. However, it turned out that most of them were ordering for takeout, and the staff warmly greeted us and guided us to a seat for dining in! Their gelato is also highly renowned! 🍽️ We ordered the Beef Croissant, Potato Benedict with salmon, Long Black, and Mocha. The Potato Benedict with salmon was the most astonishing dish. It seemed to be pan-fried and then baked, resulting in a crispy exterior and a satisfying texture. Combined with the salmon, it was so delicious that it felt almost heavenly! Next to the restaurant is Takapuna Beach. After satisfying our appetites, we went for a stroll there, basking in the sunlight, enjoying the sandy beach, and admiring the picturesque ocean view. It was incredibly relaxing!

A nice and peaceful beach here, become busy at noon. A lovely playground just at here waiting for family. Recommend

Really busy and big beach, nice public toilets, big car park, easily accessible by public transport, big playground. This is the place for you if you like chilling on the beach.

I have spent hours on Takapuna beach thinking about life and everything. Especially the little one by the holiday park. Yet every time I sit on that little beach and look upon Rangitoto Island and the beautiful skies and clouds I think that it is the first time I have been there. As the place is so magical that it changes before your very eyes.

Great beach. It makes for a nice walk up and back. Also has one of those great NZ playgrounds I wish I had as a kid!

This is a great beach. Lively to walk on the nice clean sand. Dog friendly too. Parking can be challenging at peak hour, however it's worth it

I think if more money were spent on infrastructure around the stairs and maintenance and less on an overly exorbitant playground it would easily attain a better review, kids don't care about weird architecturally endearing activities, they want enough damn swings and maybe a slide and this is coming from someone who is too damn old to use it.

Such a beautiful beach with the finest views of Rangitoto in the distance. Fine trees line the beach, providing perfect shade on those hot summer afternoons. Plenty of great eateries in the region to enjoy the finest New Zealand food and drink.

Great walk from Takapuna Holiday Park to Milford Beach along the lava rocks. Went during low tide, not sure how much would be accessible during high tide? Walk is around 2km one way.

A very popular beach in the North Shore. Quite crowded in the weekend, particularly on Sundays. Recently upgraded toilets and kids' playground are of high standard.

This is the Hauraki Corner end of Takapuna Beach, easy access, good facilities toilets with changing room with shower. Also has an outdoor shower at end of beach to rinse all the salt and sand out. Then lots of walks you can do after. Hope you enjoy your visit there

Beautiful walk and beach view, the best track is when I was heading to Milford beach on the rocks from Takapuna.
