I regularly go there. It’s not as crowded as Mission Bay beach, and has a toilet/changing room. The playground is opposite the road!

Not a bad place to go with kids but beach can very crowdy during the weekend and not much soft sand

Love this beach annoyed at one sided parking so hard for families to bring stuff and kids across the rd.

Great beach, generally pretty sheltered from the elements. I'd recommend timing your visit for high tide!

Nice little beach on the busy Orakei area. Very easily accessible from city by road and public transport. Can be very crowded on holidays. A great spot for a day's picnic and roaming in the surrounds.

A relatively modest beach. With couple of barbeques and nearby benches serves a good party site. Toilets need a revamp. One side of the beach is lined by beautiful trees. Opposite the road is a park for games and recreational area including children's games. Groups seen partying at the park. Cricket games is a regular feature here.
