    Rubbish customer service. Have always been impressed with Michael hill in the past. However the Indian lady was rude and unhelpful. Just go to the warehouse for the same service with a more equal price.

    Staff member Neerja or Neera was so rude and arrogant. Was speaking to the lovely Myrtle who was helping us when Neera decided to jump in so rudely and disrespectfully. She was overconfident in telling me my ring was arriving in a couple of days - it took over 8 weeks from that interaction for my ring to arrive. She has no "customer service" skills. I understand due to the material of my ring and covid circumstances there may be delays in getting the ring back to me, but I dont appreciate being rudely and falsely told about the wherabouts of my ring. Michael Hill used to be so professional and elite, I cannot say the same about now. This experience has really put me off going back to Michael Hill ever again.

    Customer service at MH New Lynn is pathetic. I bought a pair of Huggie earrings, they gave me different pairs. I returned them. 6 days later, they gave me the correct ones but one of the earrings was clipping well. I returned that pair again and upon returning a week later to collect the replaced pair, I was asked to return the old pairs that I had returned on my second visit. I got so mad I didn’t want the earrings anymore and I asked for a refund. The sales lady weren’t able to process a refund. The manager will process refund when he’s at work on the following Tuesday. Was promised a call on Tuesday- didn’t happen. I called on Wednesday, walked into the store for the refund to be processed. I was promised that I should be able to see the refund on my account within 11 hours. 29 hours has passed and I still have not received anything. What a horrific experience! I honestly give up. Not even worth a 1 star.

    "Extremely bad customer service" I went there to return a ring I bought last Saturday from the Albany branch. So, long story short, I was near Blockhouse Bay and thought oh good MH at Lynn mall is nearby and went there right away. Met the guys at the desk told that I want to return the ring and gave the ring plus receipt. Lady took it and went inside to talk to manager over call. Surprisingly according to manager of that specific store items purchased from a specific store should be returned to the same store and declined me by telling go return at Albany branch. The best part is I don't see any discretion for managers to change the change of mind consumer act laid out. Again all the way I drove to Albany branch and told about this incident and they were laughing and telling me that any item can be returned to any store no matter what. I think MH should do a review on the managers and teach them how the returns work. Especially the New Lynn branch members. Never going back to MH again in my life. I am planning to review this incident with a consumer protection lawyer.

    Super disappointed at the customer service at Michael Hill. I bought a bracelet for my daughter. The store recommended Mr Minit to engrave the bracelet. The engraving was terrible and ruined the bracelet. Michael Hill do not want to take any responsibility and will continue to recommend Mr Minit. This bracelet cannot be given to my daughter. I will not use either again.

    I purchased some earrings for my friend from Michael hill Lynmall but found the customer service from Michelle to be not so good. She was trying to push me into buying an additional set of earings and matching necklace which I decided not to get and she couldn’t seem to put through the correct price for my friends earrings to match the price on the website so another shop assistant had to do it for her. She then appeared to throw the earings in a ring box instead of an earring box and she walked away before the sale was completed. When I got home I noticed one of the butterfly’s on the earings was faulty and had to take it back and swap it. Another shop assistant kindly swapped the faulty butterfly for me

    Worst experience dealing with Michael Hill. Especially the staff and the manager Megha. She is rude, incompetent, she talks over you when you tell her the issue. She doesn’t let you finish your sentence and she starts to interject. She then throws a tantrum like a child. She likes to tell you to ‘calm down’ when you are actually calm and you are speaking to her in a nice manner. During my visit, not once I raised my voice but it was in fact Megha that raised her voice when she refused to listen. Further to this the rest of the staff at Michael Hill are also rude, especially when you give the rings for a service. The rings come back from service in a poor quality and the staff will say it is wear and tear issue. When you have taken the pictures prior of the ring getting sent out for a service and you know it is not a poor quality but in-fact your servicing is absolutely pathetic that has ruined mine and my husbands wedding rings. Michael Hill, train your staff better and adhere to the service plans that people have purchased. Further to this, Megha has also advised that they won’t keep a track of the repairs or services on the ring. This is how she goes back on her words. This is a huge caution to anyone that is buying their forever rings. I won’t ever recommend people buying from Michael Hill New Lynn store. Absolutely ridiculous customer service and thank you for wrecking our rings that we paid hard earned money for.

    My experience at Michael Hill in New Lynn was nothing short of a nightmare. I visited in December 2023 to have our wedding rings undergo routine Rhodium plating. The staff exhibited sheer laziness, insisting that we return in January, showing no interest in providing even basic service. Upon receiving the rings in January 2024, we discovered both were in terrible condition. My ring had uneven sanding, while my wife's had a missing diamond. The store manager, Megha Aggarwal, displayed unprofessionalism, dismissing our concerns and throwing a tantrum when we tried to explain the issues. Despite Megha's promise of a refund if I was dissatisfied with the repaired ring, I returned in February to find the band excessively sanded. When I requested a refund, the staff contradicted Megha's promises and insisted I return on another day for her to process the refund. Megha later called, claiming my ring was "fine" and reneging on her commitment. She then hung up when I attempted to express my dissatisfaction. This store is a disaster. The staff lacks competence, and Megha Aggarwal's behavior is unprofessional, racist, and reminiscent of a child throwing a tantrum, she should be fired! I feel sorry for her staff and my condolences to her partner if she has one. My experience was so horrific that I would strongly advise everyone to steer clear of Michael Hill in New Lynn. I would never buy any jewelery from Michael Hill ever again.

    worst customer service and so unprofessional. One of the workers spilled my drink all over me and the manager told her to just walk away without apologising. Then the manager called security and was claiming i was abusive when his employee pushed into me! the security explained to him that i wasn’t being abusive and he just smirked and the whole time degrading me for swearing after having my $10 drink spilled all over me!!!

    I just went in there asked to have my cross chain fixed and the lovely lady at the counter fixed it for me , loved how they were so helpful , walked out of there so happy .

    The worst customer service experience I had this year with Michael Hill New Lyn. I normally purchase from other branches where they treat customers professionally and nicely. I would never go back there again they don't even know how important each and every customer is. First of all they do not have a product knowledge and top of that the tone of talking is way rude. Sorry but you have lost one customer who ❤️ loves Michael hill dearly

    Hi, I’d just like to suggest that you update your google information to reflect your actual trading hours. I arrived tonight at 8:40pm with two specific pieces in mind that I’d seen online, I could’ve easily been in and out in 10 minutes. I asked (through a closed security screen) what time the store had closed to which the sales assistant replied “8:30pm” and then after asking me what I was looking for suggested I pop across the mall to Pascoes. Wow! Guess I should just be thankful this lady is not running my business.

    We had such a pleasant experience at the Michael Hill store in Lynn Mall. Special thanks to Neera and Tulip for being so patient with us and helping us from day 1. We were super happy with our purchase and with the customer service we received. We will definitely be back for more jewellery in the future! Thanks again ladies :)

    I visited 4 jewellers looking for just the right silver locket and chain before buying from Michael Hill's Lynmall. Very nice product at the right price and the service there was excellent. Those ladies know their stuff and dealt with me expertly. It was a pleasure to shop there. I'll be back !

Got put off with Pascoes Lynmall manager who had attitude, so am grateful to the team at Michael Hill for excellent customer service.     Terrible, bought something to have engraved and got recommended to mister minit, who absolutely stuffed it up. They originally said their engraving costs around $50 as I was looking, but as soon as I purchased they changed it to $150

    Precise information. Nice and friendly staff. A bit pushy with sales tactics but thats their job. Buyer should just be firm with what they want. Happy with the purchase allthough not perfect. Partner bought a trilogy engagement ring but was a little bit big. Michael Hill resized it, paid extra, came back with the engraving almost erased and one of the diamonds was lopsided. But overall still happy with the customer service and the non-judgmental atmosphere.
