Don't get sick if this is your docs. Normal GP walk in is $50. That's sitting there for 3 hours and paying $50. Appointments $19.50 are 3 weeks booked out so if you have an infection good luck but the new fit out looks great👍 must be all that extra money they making. Amended as time was 3 hours wait. $19.50 jump to $50 is disgraceful. There is no justification for that price jump.

Avoid avoid this place. Service is very bad and unprofessional. I walked in wanting to see a Doc/Nurse for medical treatment only to be told NO only one doc is available come back tomorrow but the place was dead empty at 6.30pm. This is very much a breach of Code of Health - thanks Tali. Follow up this morning at 8am felt very ill treated by the front desk admins with some casual racist remarks. I have to leave …too upset. So never again strongly don’t recommend this place.

WISH I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS. I'm writing this review with a huge disappointment about the service. Today is the first day we came to this place to get ourselves registered to a GP and to get my partner’s health checked by a GP. Been waiting here patiently for 3 hours after handing over the documents to the receptionist and they still didn’t call our name. We went to the receptionist desk to ask about the delay to find out that they haven’t even put our names in their patients list until we checked. I believe that this is really unprofessional because we also have other things to do other than waiting in a medical centre for 3 hours. If we haven’t checked, we would have still be waiting in the queue where other people who came after us got already called in and had left. After one more hour of waiting (We waited for 4 hours), they still didn't call our name and we checked again with the receptionist to find out that there are 5 more people ahead of us who came after us. We wasted a lot of our time in here today because of their bad service. This has never happened to us before in any other medical centres and we saw that most of the other people also left the place with a huge disappointment. When I checked the reviews, i can see that it’s not only us who got bad service like this. I hope they would improve their service without being irresponsible and unprofessional because there were senior citizens also among us.

Been going to this doctors for 25 years and today is the day I finally need to find a new doctors. How you can justify charging someone $50 to see a doctor is beyond me! A big price jump from $19.50 to $50. In this day and age where medical help is a necessity! Shocking. Definitely not “for the people”.

I rung this morning to see how long the wait time was for a Dr. I have to say the Receptionist was rude and unhelpful. I gave my apologies for ringing. This is the 2nd time I have rung this place with the same unhelpful attitudes. May I remind you, when we ring it's because we are sick and hurting, a little kindness and emapthy would go a long way. Very disappointed.

If i could rate you zero stars i will!! My daughter got off her school bus today and started feeling tightening in her chest! When she called me, i knew she was having a Asthma attack as shes a heavy asthmatic, so i told her to come to your practice since shes there. She comes in asking for help if she can see a nurse or doctor because she can't breathe and who ever she spoke with told her she can't be seen untill she pays! I totally understand there are protocols and requirements before being seen but when a child comes in asking for help because she can't breathe you will think your practice will help her but NO i told her over the phone to tell yous if someone can see her and i will pay when i get there you guys still told her no and then finally said yes! I get there to find my daughter still sitting in the waiting room no nurse has checked her oxygen level nothing!! you guys are disgusting we are sitting at the hospital right now and they are about to do her ECG i will be taking this further and to social media!!! Your practice is Beyound disgusting!!!! Yous make me sick!!!! Updated!! Wow is that all you have to say?? Perhaps that was the right option?? What if my child died in your practice? Where was the duty of care? Especially a child with no guidance who need urgent attention! Don't try make lame excuses for your pathetic untrained colleagues!! I hope this will never happen to any other child ever again!! You money hungry disgusting practice!!!

Don't go here. Waiting 3 hours for nothing. I am gone with no help with a bad bloody toi. Unfriendly and no help at all. I am so happy if I am back in germany, where you become help everywhere.

I turned up 10 minutes before they take the last patients. I was experiencing shortness of breath and chest pain. They turned me away and told me to go to henderson even though they could see I drove myself and also had my 3 yr old to care for. There was not another person in the waiting room. Totally lazy, unprofessional and uncaring. Understandable why this practice have terrible reviews.

Absolutely terrible service and a disgrace to humanity! While someone is writhing in pain and the website states emergency walk in services available, the receptionist cared only about enrolling me as a casual patient and after all that, she was like The doctor can’t see you today as he is busy! So why keep the clinic open at 7Pm and say emergency walk in services available? Do yourself a favour if you are ever in pain, do NOT go here!

1/10 do not recommend. Went here for my toddlers leg injury. The nurse who saw us was about as helpful as a popped tyre, told me to put my toddler on standing scales (with a sore leg), got annoyed when I declined. Told me to calm my toddler down (neurodiverse, 2, sore) and said if I cannot, we cannot be triaged until he is. Talked to me in the most condescending manner and forced a thermometer into his ear so hard that he cried. But wait there is more. I reported that I thought his injury is in his leg, the Doctor disagreed and sent him for x-rays on his foot and ankle. 2 weeks later, and at a much better establishment, it was confirmed that my toddler did indeed have a fractured tibia. Personally, I feel as though if you can miss big things like a broken leg and kindness, you deserve a 1 star.

I am not a registered patient here, but I come here to bring someone who is. Be prepared for the longest wait times (sometimes approaching 2 hours) when you do not have an appointment. Strangely, be prepared for the briefest consultations when you do get to see a doctor. A male nurse scolded me once for sitting in his chair in the cubicle while waiting for my patient friend to get a pre-consultation test done. I did not see any markings on the chair that it was not for public use, nor did he use the chair when I got out of it. Update: on another visit with my friend. Expected wait time 2 hours. We cannot leave to run an errand before consultation. 2 doctors on duty. One for booked appointments. One for queue. 8 patients in wait area. Time for my friend to change to a better clinic I think. Recent update. My friend tried calling the clinic multiple times to make an appointment with a doctor. No answer for the entire day.

They don't have time for patients. Long queues. you need to be good actor to convince doctor. I lost trust on NZ medical system. When I don't have answer how long I need to wait even after appointment. Call me if you need more details

Dr Tim Cummack was fantastic. Such a caring and compassionate person. He took the time to look over my 5month old and referred us on to kids first. He even had the time to call the hospital first to speak to a paediatrician regarding my baby. I love that he also wasn’t like other doctors who rush to prescribe antibiotics for every little thing. I highly recommend seeing him.

Dr David Oxner is the best GP there, very accommodating and listens carefully to all your feedbacks, very sympathetic and caring. The queque system must change, ( except for real accident and medical cases ), the patients must be served on a first come, first served basis ( including online portal bookings ) irrespective of what their medical issues are, it is very unfair for patients who came after us to be served first, standing on the sun for nearly 2 1/2 hours in the morning, then have to come back again in the afternoon for another 2 hours wait is very frustrating indeed. It seemed like it is based on the receptionists ( or manager's discretion) of what your appointment purpose was for, as they seemed to always asked you this same question, and then still put you into the bottom of the list anyhow ? ( according to the importance of your visit). I have seen several times how the paperwork were shuffled around a lot when your clinic was open before. Had it not been for the efficiency of Dr Oxner, I would have gone somewhere else . He is truly an asset to your clinic. Keep up the excellent work Dr Oxner! All the best for you & your family this 2022 ! Take care.

Do not go here for stitches. Went there for a gash to the forehead, only four stitches placed and now a large scar and the skin is not joined properly. A nurse in my family said they should have used finer stitches and placed more than four. Not good considering this is an A&E clinic.

Just wanted to post up a appreciation post to the receptionist team, I dropped off my partner to the GP Onehunga as he is not registered and he was not feeling well, and while I was on the phone with him, I heard the receptionist give a outline of the cost, and the waiting time while apologising and asking if he wanted to sign up just to pay 19.50 lol, also coughing seeing as she might have been sick herself but really trying her best to serve him. lastly my stupid partner forgot to ask for painkillers and poor girl from what my partner describe said she laughed and said its okay she will go ask the doctor real quickly to see him to add that in his medication and not even a minute she came back and got him seen again. My partner and I would like to say thank you so much for your kindness to all the receptionist there as it was busy today, waiting time was long but we both expected that as it was an URGENT care and this was not an emergency as he is clearly still breathing, men and there dramatic-ness. Thank you so much you have definitely made his day. Mr and Mrs King

Terrible Experience - they are not the greatest communicators my 3 issues - i) went in with bad chronic knee pain (Right Knee), and I get referred to orthopedic, and I went to my own physio who says, the ACC form states Dr claims its the LEFT knee not RIGHT knee - spent hours trying to correct this, so my ACC gets paid out as recommended by Physio/Orthopedic to do so. ii) after getting referred I called the greenlane Orthopedic Knee Surgeon schedulers I was referred to who stated I was not a priority but to go back to Onehunga GPs and ask for a priority change, if pain persists. So I called them, as I was in much pain - and then got another Dr who proceeded to refer me again, but this time they incorrectly sent me to a fractures orthopedic not the knee orthopedic - after spending endless time and weeks to be seen to get a MRI done. Just as well my physio, in his wisdom sent for an appoint for another Knee Orthopedic and I was referred 5 days later after seeing the wrong orthopedic the Onehunga GP Doc sent me to. iii) today, still in pain - not able to walk well, and second knee start taking the strain, I called in to see if I can pick up some crutches. So off I went, hopping along to go pick crutches to help me walk quicker and get off from sitting, but then to be told I have to queue up and wait to see a Doctor before I can take the crutches - so again, miscommunication - just pay $100.00 hire and come pick it up, no mention about meeting a doctor that I could have planned for if told. Anyway - I hope they get their act together for people with more serious health concerns - If these guys are your only option - check and double check what they are communicating or you may go through some unnecessary time wasting and pain for nothing. Off to the Chemist Warehouse to pick up crutches where they give it without a Doctors review. I wont name Doctors as I'm sure they do more good than what I've experienced and are under the pump.

The clinic has got all facilities, however my experience is: nurses are ok, don’t feel they enjoy their jobs. doctors are good. one of the receptionists with short hair wearing glasses is absolutely a nightmare, she has no patience to deal will patients, not willing to explain when ask questions, very rude. She should not be working there, causes stress to the patient. The young lady with long hair at reception is a star, she patiently answers questions and dealing different age of patient. That make patients feel comfortable and being cared. Waiting time is 2-3 hours for walk in patient, so be prepared. I was there at 8.00am and couldn’t see the doctor for two hours. I understand the clinic is busy and stressful, the management needs to look into how to manage the patient load and create a harmony medical environment. The way of Communicating with patient is very important, the rude receptionist doesn’t want to talk, only uses the figures to point on the window hard and rolls her eye back. Terrible.

Ok so this is a long one but feel its important especially when dealing with paitent results. I had gone in to get a mole checked and have some bloods done then waited for results. For context- I'm a youngish male, 5ft-10, 73kg with a 30inch pant size (this will make sense) and reasonably active. While waiting for the results I had one missed call from the clinic so I called back to be put through to someone who can give me results over the phone, I was told they will put me on a "call-back list". The following day I received a call from a 'nurse' (Nurse- A) who had my results (i had NOT had any consultation with nurse- A and she had never seen me) she then informs me of ANOTHER nurse or Doctor (Nurse- B) who i had never met or had any consultation with; had placed a footnote on my file suggesting I make some "lifestyle changes". Nurse-A tells me my cholesterol was slightly high and asked me if perhaps I like eating burgers and McDonald's, to which I replied no. She then suggested perhaps I like sugary foods and soft drinks, to which I reply "no I'm on a ketogenic diet for seven months now and I've lost 8kg in 5 months" she then informed me "well the results don't lie" and perhaps I "haven't lost any weight and these levels are those of obese people, im not saying you are but.." to which I got extremely irritated. I then asked her to cross-reference my current results with results of my last visit and turned out my cholesterol had gone DOWN along with my weight. I tried to keep things light with Nurse-A until She then informed me perhaps the "nurse" who made the footnote (Nurse-B) had got results mixed up. Bare in mind I never once saw Nurse.A or Nurse.B when I went in, in fact I saw no nurse at all, just the receptionist and then the doctor called me in to the examination room, had the consult and I left. During the conversation with Nurse-A she was very condescending and wouldn't listen to what i was trying to tell her. Turned out Nurse.B was an Indian man who was perhaps a Doctor who id never met (?) -According to a receptionist. Also While i was on the call to Nurse-A the SAME CLINIC was trying to ring through to my phone, they then called back after the call with Nurse-A and i explained the situation and asked for the doctor who had seen me or the person who had done the potential mix up to call me to clarify things, i was told they'd call back within an hour... that was five hours ago. Completely ridiculous and dangerous considering this is patient files and results. They need to get their stuff together this is unacceptable and dangerous considering the excuse for all of this was a flippant "oh maybe she got results mixed up" Unbelievable.

I was recently the victim of a dog attack. After an initial $55 fee, my initial consultation with the Dr and 2 subsequent visits for dressing changes have been covered with no additional cost. (Two other Dr surgeries were too busy to take me on the day of the event) I found all staff to be highly professional and empathetic. The wait times on all 3 visits so far have been short, the longest wait being approximately half an hour. Very surprised to see such a low average rating for this medical centre, it truly hasn't reflected my experience. I would most certainly choose this clinic again.

The waiting time was four hours, but we were told it would be one and a half hours. One doctor who was doing the COVID test, as well as seeing the normal patients , didn't even wear the gloves while doing the COVID test. He didn't even know anything. Just write the medications and say that's what we always give to our patients all the time. Doesn't matter either.

Love dr Len Brake, he is the reason this medical practice has been my family one for so many years. Understand it’s a very busy clinic and for the most part staff do fantastic job at triaging and treating patients. Have had two bad experiences close together with the clinical nurse specialist however being rude and cutting me off over the phone and booking my son at the wrong appointment time. Other staff have been kind and got me through to speak to a doc

It's a system where if you had no appointments then it works great for you. Usually when you get sick, you can't wait a week for an appointment which is why I changed to them but lucky I have the time to wait when I need to see them. Not a clinic for everyone since everyone is time poor.

Worst doctors ever been to! Was registered with them, did a walk in waited about 2 hours to get told that I can’t see a doctor because I am no longer registered with them due to being registered elsewhere after I had waited 2 hours for a doctor! Ridiculous!! What is so hard about seeing a patient??! Useless

Very professional service and all receptionists and nurses are helpful and kind. I recommend this place to everyone. I am very thankful to Mr.Robert Kirkland, he accurately predicted my injury and gave me a quick referral to radiology, and also after obtaining the result he quickly informed me on phone so I can take care. Thanks.

I went there after 4pm with my daughter, even though they close at 6pm, but we were asked to go Ascot because it was going to be a long waiting. Both the receptionist and nurse seemed no respect for people who are in needed to see the doctor.. why sending them away when they need to see the doctor, and they not even close by that time?

These guys close at 720pm not 8pm apparently, was turned away because another patient might have taken them to closing time - no one else was waiting in line. They were literally cleaning up as I walked in, I understand finishing times however with Healthcare this is concerning. Go atleast 2 hours before or be turned away.

Left this place years ago never went back because it felt like no one cared about my health and cared more about what I had in my wallet, but feel the need to review now as I've just had a family member ripped off by them. This place definitely cares more about money than your health, which is a horrible mind set for a medical practice. Told my family member to return daily for dressing changes without mentioning this would be charged as a nurse visit rather than a follow-up, even got charged for the materials as if you're practice would notice the cost difference of one bandage 🤦 if you're going to charge someone over $100 over the course of a week the polite thing to do would be to mention that upfront, the fact that you didn't clearly means you saw my family member as an ATM not as a patient. If you have ever wondered how it feels to be an ATM this place might be perfect for you! Edit: obviously wasn't talking about myself I wouldn't dare go back here after how rudely I was treated on multiple occasions and your reply proves nothing has changed on that front. Even if your prices are on the wall it doesn't hurt to mention it to a patient does it? Trying to blame the patient instead of taking responsibility for your lack of simple communication proves how little you care about your patients. The issue wasn't the fact that it cost money obviously it does, its the fact your staff failed to communicate these costs with the patient. Your doctor implied these would be considered revisits NOT consultations.

The waiting is too long. Very unfriendly environment. Receptionists need more customer service training. They are so rude. Tongan woman and the other with short hair. Please get them into customer service training. Could not book an appointment on the app and over the phone. We are asked to walk in then pay $45. Booked appointment is $19.50 yet couldn't book one at all. Is this your way of making us pay $45 then wait hours to be seen? Even with booked appointments the waiting time is still the same. Please get your receptionists to check patients waiting. One lady came before me. She went to check was advised she hadn't been booked in. Yet arrived 2hrs before me. Dr came out called a name she couldn't pronouce. Didn't bother to check if patient was in the toilet or outside. Called once then returned to her office. Unbelievable service.

I went here late last year for a checkup regarding my carpal tunnel syndrome, the place wasn't renovated yet and it was the weekend rate so I was charged quite high for just consultation. This May 2023, I was rushed here due to car accident and I was sent away because they're full house, luckily my injuries weren't that bad so we went to where the manager recommended us to go. The same month, I went for a checkup for an assault and to extend my ACC medical leave, the staff who served me wasn't that knowledgeable on their operations and when I explained further, she was able to assist me and lined me up for Dr. David Oxner who I couldn't thank more. Dr. David Oxner has been remarkable and helpful in my awful experience. He was genuine, caring, and listened to my concerns althroughout. Because of him I am giving the place 5 star. Thank you so much for your work, Dr. Oxner. I couldn't commend you enough. I tried to register online as I stay in Onehunga but until now I haven't gotten a response, I wouldn't need it any longer since I'm moving to Chch.

The Doctors themselves are amazing but being green cross, it's all about the money now. I know everything has increased in price but with a 3 week wait for an appointment to see ANY doctor, (who gets sick 3weeks in advance?) a walk-in is the only option. Don't have the energy today - cos I'm sick - so tomorrow is $60 because I'm enrolled. "Everyone charges the same or go to A&E" is the smartarse receptionist response. Friendlier and more caring service from a call centre in India selling internet. So sad that your actual health is the least of their priorities now, I'll take my infection, go to the overburdened public hospital like everyone else and look at green cross shares while I wait

I've only attended this medical center a short time and first started seeing Jordan in the urgent Care section and than registed at the practice and Dr. Kate Lowrie became my doctor both doctor's I've dealt with have been terrific, I saw Dr. Kate Lowrie today very stressed out and she went well and beyond to assure me that everything was going to be okay and we'd work out a plan for my health and mental health this really is the best practice I've ever attended in NZ and Australia.

Still waiting to be seen by the doctor despite booking an appointment, almost 45 mins later. It’s disappointing to read the reviews and hear the consistent excuses and complete disrespect towards the time of their patients. For months I’d been complaining of swollen tummy and infection, I was told I had a fibroid and to live with it. I demanded to see a specialist and one month later I had to have a full hysterectomy. The unprofessionalism and lack of care is not the New Zealand we all deserve. Don’t accept this rubbish. Next you’ll see a response to this post, with excuses!! It’s the only thing they’re good at! Viv- firstly, you’re incorrect! I was certainly not upset, please don’t suggest false statements as you have, what I was, is Inconvenienced, disrespected, and then dismissed by you with an excuse. Try to find it within yourself to show empathy! Furthermore your reviews are so appalling as is your medical professionalism, you seem to skim past my hysterectomy. You should focus on your medical practice and you wouldn’t need to forage on social media making excuses to compensate for your inadequacy.
