I felt sicker than my real pain.I waited for 3 hours to change my finger dressing. I realized that I could do that by myself in 2 minutes at home after a nurse did it. What a waste of my time and money.

Rather not talk publicly about it as it is rather serious. I just want the public to know, if you've decided to use this service, stick to your guts, persist to ask for thorough tests, exams, whatever u need in order to make sense of the whole situation. If the Dr doesn't know what test is necessary, than go find a Dr who knows. You're not over-reacting bcuz this could be the chance for you to save your life/ your loved ones life. In contrast, the nurses there r good. They saw things more than the Dr himself. Nevertheless I still have to give 1 due to the fact that my daughter doesn't have to go through ICU if she was diagnosed accurately then.

Terrible experience here. I was just a casual walk in and they charged me $80 BEFORE telling me that it was a 45min wait. Sure enough, I was seen by a nurse after 45mins, but then had to wait an additional hour for the doctor. They told me to do a stool sample and send it to LabTests. I did just this, but when I got to LabTests, the doctor STILL hadn't sent through the confirmation slip so I had to call reception and ask for the confirmation slip to be sent through. I SHOULD NOT have had to ask for this. How can you give someone a stool sample kit without following through on the other end with confirmation slips??? I got a call the next day from the doctor letting me know how the results of test, then she proceeded to charge me ANOTHER 80 DOLLARS. I did not ask for a call, I did not want a consult, I would've been happy with an email!! Not to mention, I am a student with a community services card, and they don't have any sort of discounts or subsidy. How can you expect me to pay another $80 for a 4min 6sec conversation over the phone??? Ridiculous. Worst experience I've ever had at a doctors. Hospital is even better than this. Very disappointed.

I had a nasty accident at home. Initially St John ambulance took me to East Care, but the service was far from ideal! For the next couple of days I treated my open wounds on my arm at home, but decided I needed more. So for many days I was going to The Doctors Urgent Care, Ti Rakau Dr. Their Care, empathy , compassion & knowledge was second to none. I can highly recommend the medical staff at this establishment. Nothing was too much for them & they are so friendly & caring.

I feel well looked after and cared for at this practice. I felt Dr. Elisa Mazzoncini really listened to me and was thorough with her checks. The nurse I saw was so lovely too. Reception is friendly and patient. I am so happy I have switched to this clinic.

I have been coming here for years but have decided to switch to a much better practice after spending hundreds of dollars on consultation and medication fees. Doctor could not diagnose my symptoms, did not refer me to do further test. Was not helpful and rather rude. Not to mention another time, wasted my time and money on doing an ultrasound on a lump - to be seen by a public funded clinic and did ANOTHER ultrasound for free. Would not recommend. So glad I’ve switched doctors

If I could I would offer zero stars. I waited 2 hours (no! it wasn't busy at all, especially compared to East Care) only to spend 5 mins with a very arrogant Dr Thomas Yang who literally laughed at me and was dismissive of my medical issue. To be honest, I've never felt humiliated by a medical professional until this experience which left me in tears. I wasn't even offered the privacy of a consultation room, instead I was given the nurse's triage station. And, afterward had to pay $50 for the appalling and disrespectful service. I told the Dr what I thought of his professional attitude and I'm pleased I did because later on he stalled sending my medication prescription through to the chemist. I eventually the pharmacist called the Dr to get him to email it through. I called the Practise Manager, Wendy, the same day complain but I still havent received contact from her. After being a registered patient of this place for years and years (because Dr Jing Dong was wonderful) Ive decided to take my health and put in the hands of professionals that care and who I'm happy to pay.

Very unprofessional in terms of how they charge people. After a phone consultation( meant to be in-person, only found out it’s a phone consult on arrival at the practice due to my doctor’s injury) they will send you an invoice including a late payment fee without knowing whether or not the customer is going to end up with a late payment!

You'd think a doctors practice especially one that is urgent care would answer the phone. Myself and everyone I know has had issues with reception and even getting through for booking an appointment over the phone. Apart from a few rude and unhelpful doctors and the fact that they rather put you on a bucketload of medication that you have to have a follow up on every two weeks that 1. don't help and 2. cost you an arm and a leg, all the nurses and other doctors is lovely. 10/10 service from Doctor Allan Coombes can't speak more highly of his kindness and professionalism.

Very frustrating I know services are stretched but you shouldn’t have to wait with an 81 year old dementia patient nearly 2.5 hours to be seen by a Dr especially when you were the second patient in the door at 8am. It seems like you don’t want to treat elderly patients.

Keeps going downhill. Its really a shame. I've been using the physio, dentist and pharmacist and they are much superior facilities and unfortunately affected by their joke of their new hours. Watch them reduce their hours to 4pm. No way they are going to be open from 8 to 5 consistently. 🤣 . They are not interested in helping people. It's a money thing. Hi Wendy, About that number, no one picks up the phone or gets back to you.

just had a horrible experience here.zero star rating. Their phone consult service is a joke. They lie! The neither reply nor giving consult, but they charge for this! when I made booking with receiptionist, she asked me if I want to do phone consult which can happen sooner than face-to-face one, so I agreed. I had phone consult, asked issues about my son, Dr. Frank asked me to email through some info and photo and he will consult based on my email. I emailed per his instruction. Then never heard back and I got charged for this! I followed up on the following day, receiptionist advised me the email address that doctor gave me is wrong and not in use! So I forwarded the email to another email address that receiptionist gave to me. over the phone receptionist confirmed she got my email and forwarded to Dr. Frank Yang. I also received their auto email confirming my email is received. Another week passed, still no reply! I had to follow up again, this time I'm told they didnt get my email?? their reception team leader is rude. after various emails and phone calls, we finally got to an agreement for me to do a consult again free(as they alreay charged me) on 16th. But this afternoon I was told reception team leader is not happy with me paying on consult date, which is only two weeks later, and I need to pay straightaway. You really think its oky for you not apologizing for what happened in my "phone consult" and instead being so rude??? reception team leader you better not call me tomorrow, I wont be hesitated to have a argument with you. I wont pay unless I get consult service. Your phone consult is ridiculous and simply ripping me off. Added 8th Aug: All happened on phone consult is doctor gave me a false email address for me to email through info, thrn disappeared till now. Nothing else. Also,no followup consult ever happened! All happened is charge comes through. Ridiculous! No one ever told me the consult cannot be for my son till I called multiple times. Unbelievablly rude reception team.

Wish I could give 0 stars. WORST CLINIC EVER. DO NOT GO HERE. You’ll be a brick in the wall. No one cares about your health at this clinic. Worst worst worssssst medical clinic I’ve ever been to. No one speaks English or knows what I am talking about when I go. They all are very rude and ignore you rather than providing good customer service. They take your money and give you paracetamol and charge you an arm and a leg. Their niche is of Asian descent so the receptionist don’t care about any other race but shows unprofessionalism by speaking in their Chinese language making others feel uncomfortable or even speaking in their own language to each other. Charging double appointments when requesting things from an initial appointment. Book multiple appointments for ongoing issues but no one seems to know what I’m talking about. This clinic is ridiculous. They are only here for people of their descent in the East Auckland area which is all asians. They are soooo rude and now charge a referral fee also. Most unreliable unpractical and rude clinic I have ever experienced. Will never recommend Ti Rakau. Both have terrible services and long wait times for appointments. What is the point of a GP appointment when you feel unwel and want medication but have to wait 10 days or more for an appointment or else have to go a&e to provide let’s for work and pay extra. East Auckland health services are so appalling. This is by far the worst treatment I have gotten from a medical clinic. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE CHARGED RIDICLOUS AMOUNTS AND BE SCAMMED AND TELL TO BOOK MORE APPOINTMENTS. THESE ASIANS ARE TAKING OUR MONEY AND NOT CARING ABOUT OUR HEALTH BUT SCAMMING US IF ANYTHJNG!

The receptionists, nurses and doctors are by far the best, the friendliest and easiest staff I've ever dealt with. I might have to switch doctors/GPs after todays appointment. Thanks guys, much appreciated 🙏

My family and I have been visiting The Doctors - Ti-Rakau for a number of years for ourselves and our two children. Dr Jing Dong has been our GP for the last six years and has been the most kind, supportive and caring Doctor we have ever met, highly recommended! Would highly recommend her as a GP if you are considering joining The Doctors :)

I have had wonderful care by nurse Sharon, who has been monitoring my surgery scars and changing dressings twice a week since November. Sharon is caring, compassionate, engaging and very sweet natured. I have also been very highly impressed by recent arrival Dr Coombs, whom I declare to be the best doctor I have ever had. He, too, is kind, compassionate , thorough and he listens!!! Thank you to both for everything you have done for me over past five weeks.

Highly recommended this Doctors practice. My normal Dr's practice (in Howick) were unable to see me for 2 days running even for a phone consult. I have covid & was very unwell. The Nurse here saw me in less than 15 minutes yesterday & the Doctor saw me immediately afterwards. She was thorough, professional, kind & caring. Diagnosed a secondary chest infection. Im so grateful these Doctors are willing to take "walk in" (or in my case drive-in) patients & for the great care. I wouldnt hesitate to return.

Absolute worse COUPLE of experiences.. Decided to give them another chance as my daughter is very ill and I can’t afford an urgent care so went to my GP. Big mistake! I was a couple minutes late to my 10.15 appointment WITH MY SICK 1 YEAR OLD BABY AND THEY MADE US WAIT IN THE CAR FOR ONE HOUR THEN WE WERE CALLED INSIDE AND WAITED AN ADDITIONAL TWENTY MINUTES WHERE WE STILL WERE NOT SEEN!!! We walked out! I pray this provider gets shut down.

Hi It’s been 6-7 years that I am registered patient at this practice. I was never able to get an appointment easily. I had booked at least a week. But sickness comes uninformed and what we can do in those situations? As you alway say, we are aware that you’re short of doctors. Walk in was at least helpful. and now I was told that walk in time is till 12.30 which is totally unacceptable. I spend at least 30/50 dollars on each visit. Every time when I try for appts they ask to go to east care and then why am I registered with you? I called few minutes back requesting an appointment and was told fully booked and no walk ins as it closed at 12.30. I was really disappointed and told them that thinking of changing my doctors. And the lady on the phone, guess she got impatient and told me, “ it’s upto you”. She didn’t even try to see if they have got any appointments for next week. She just asked me to go to Eastcare. I am not surprised I can see 2.3 star rating for this clinic.

Partner had a workplace accident where he sliced into his arm, required an A&E dressing changed twice, this practice is the only place that are chasing up a payment for wrapping a dressing. How are you charging when its ACC covered? Will never recommend this place

Was made to wait outside in the hot sun with 1Year old baby, for prescription for over - others had been waiting for 2 hours for dressing change. They made me pay before I was even seen by a nurse or doctor. So couldn’t go anywhere else. In the end a 5 minute consult with doctor and was gone!

Of I can rate less than that, I would, the receptionist are the most rude people. They don't care how much pain you are ..... abs they really so rip off, They want to charge extra on the top of your fees. I didn't understand why they been rated 1or 2 stars .... I'll never recommend them

The only Sharp knife in that place is Nurse Lela who caught on to a few errors of my 1. Appointment that was meant to have been with a doctor not a nurse as the receptionist had booked me in for. Even she said “they should have known better” 2. unsent order for labtests from my doctor where I wasted the morning waiting only to be told labtests didn’t have anything in their system about me. I called Nurse Lela where she found the error and resolved the issue. 3. When I expressed frustration about not understanding the results of my blood tests and note of “pregnancy injection at 16weeks” from the nurse who called back to explain the results - her response was “sure no problem” when I said I’d be leaving the practise. Absolutely disappointed I’ve had to follow up again and again to know what’s happening. And as someone going through my first pregnancy, am I supposed to know that “every pregnant lady gets injections at 16 weeks” ? Disgusted and disappointed. Why even work in medicine if you lack the empathy and understanding towards your patients.

Since I have enrolled here I have had nothing more than 2 star standard experience. Any time I call in for a phone consult, the receptionist will book me in for an in person consult to which I’d wait for a call, call in myself to find that my time had been cancelled. After the third time this has happened I called in the morning of to clarify it was an over the phone consult, the receptionist who had booked the previous consults would confirm the dr would call me, I’d sit around on my break and nothing… Call in to find yet again the dr was not informed it was a phone consult. I’ve had receptionists book me in for a time, text me a different time and the dr have me booked in for a time different from the two. I’ve been incorrectly charged and diagnosed for something/ provided medication, be tested for thus and have the tests come back negative a few days later. I really hate to complain. I never leave reviews but I have to share my experience, ive taken most of this on the chin but at this point it’s just ridiculous. Health, time and money is important to me and I hate to feel I cannot trust my local clinic.

I visited the doctors ti rakau several times. They welcome walk-in patients with no GP registered. All the doctors I met were very professional and kind. I met Dr. Teresa when my daughter was having a cold, and the doctor gave us a prescription with proper medicines to help her recover quickly. When my daughter had to go through a blood test, not only did Dr. Teresa give us a follow-up call even though it was past her working hours, but she sent me the letters I needed. Thanks to the nurse Margaret for sending me the email. The nurse Shuvani was also so helpful that she gave me another follow-up call to check my daughter's condition. (Sorry if I got the wrong spelling on their names) I highly recommend this clinic. You might need to wait to see the nurse and doctor if you don't have an appointment, but I think we are lucky to have this clinic welcoming walk-in patients anytime and to be cared for by professional doctors and nurses.

Took my 13 year old for her vaccine, Hannah(nurse) was so good and helped my daughter feel at ease! We also had a phone consult with one of the student doctors, Cameron, he was so thorough and worked fast to get all the info I needed. Thank you team, our experience was less scary being at the doctors under level 3..from the receptionist at the door, to the front desk, everyone was friendly and helped us with a smile, under their masks of course!

Really disappointed about the COVID swabbing procedure. I arrived early for my 2.30pm appointment and there were no parking spots so I had to park in a different business’ parking and called reception to tell them where I was. The nurses were swabbing the cars closest to their station and new cars would constantly pull into the newly available spots outside the nursing station and get their swabs despite all the other cars waiting. When it was finally my turn the nurse apologised for the wait and that they had accidentally used my labelled swab on someone else and that they were printing a new one. The nurse came back with my label and it was incorrect (someone with the same last name). She proceeded to swab and when I asked if it was the correct one she said “don’t worry we know who you are”.

I was glad that my baby was able to be seen by a doctor after hours within 10 minutes or so and the doctor (Dr Teresa) and nurses were friendly and gave us some much-needed assurance after I had an unpleasant phone call with Plunket and the GP receptionist. One piece of feedback that I would like to pass through to the clinic though was the different information the person who answered the phone and the receptionist that I met in person gave me. The person on the phone said that there will be no fees for babies/it may be covered through ACC but then we did get charged for the consultation. I understand the need for a fee but did not appreciate having been told different information on the phone and in person.
