They deserve minus 5 stars. The doctor New Lynn deserves bankruptcy. The reason is much more than the below points, 1. Hard to get the phone answered. Many times the calls are during the working hours, but the voice message said it is out of working hours. What a joke!!! 2. Occasionally the phone is answered, the the waiting time is shockingly long. One hour is a normal waiting time for just to book an appointment. Shocking!!! 3. Reception is a mass. I paid my phone consultation fee at the reception desk when I change my dressing, but I still got text messages say I need to pay the amount. They did not update the system after I pay. 4. Doctors are always too busy to listen to you and talk to you patiently. 5. Nurse station does not meet the hygiene standards. One person lay in bed after the other. No paper towels no sanitised in between. Disgusting!!! I have to change my family from here to somewhere else. Being with them for nearly 10 years. Seeing they from the best to the worst. Very sad.

Very disappointed with this clinic, after being with them for over 15yrs. The answer machine in the beginning goes on longer than the wait time which is extremely long especially since they have more receptionists than a rugby team. Phone appointments are encouraged, can hardly hear them though, they send prescriptions to the wrong chemist and that's after chasing them up 3 or 4 times to actually send it, which is a pain since I have to sit through all that talking and advertising about all the services they provide, which quite frankly they should limit since they can't do simple things like listening to their patients and sending prescriptions to be collected... I'm seriously thinking of moving on. Quite sad actually, they used to have caring doctors who took the time to listen, thorough and knew what they were doing, now you go there to diagnose yourself, prescribe your own medicine and they charge you. Oh and can you please stop blaming covid for everything...

Terrible service, only place where they ask for payment first before seeing the doctor. Been with them since 2005, seen drastic changes over the years. It's all about money 💰 at The Doctor's New Lynn. Administration of injection with our multivitamin vial is $25. (what a ripe off). Quick to charge in phone consultation or phone repeat prescription you can be notifiedin minutes. VERY IMPORTANT the doctor may not be able to diagnose your sickness promptly as they did in my wife's case on 2 occasions unless we insisted for a Specialist referral. Today's visit was jam packed with about 30 patients and the receptionists surely not friendly and if you call the phone wait can be long, ask for appointments and if lucky you MAY get after a week that is if you are lucky and if you get understanding reception answering your phone you are in luck. An Asian mother with a small baby in arms was also not spared, she voiced herself loud n clear today. Definitely NOT recommended to enroll or never visit at all. Go find yourself other GOOD competent doctors practice who understands, better in diagnosis and not in a rush with good service unlike The Doctor's New Lynn. Surely we decided to change to another doctor's clinic.

I would give 0 star if there was! My GP is very good. Kind, responsible and respectful, but I have to change my family doctor to others because of the HORRIBLE service of this clinic. 1. It’s super hard to reach them on their phone. 2. They refuse to provide any help for my emergency that caused by their mistake. Even no apologies. 3. The waiting area always looks dingy. 4. Some of the receptionists and nurses are not friendly and lack of sympathy. … Overall, no box can be ticked.

Sharing a thought for the good doctors who work here, only to have their valuable expertise smashed by the disgraceful experience customers have to endure by the front of house gateway. Hideous telephone experience, poor treatment on arrival (go wait in your car we don’t want too many in the waiting area .. there were 2 people in the huge wait area), doctor I was seeing didn’t know about the go-wait-in-your-car thing, which made me late and the doctor late. I don’t want to return. Ever. I’m taking the time to Review in the hope that the owners of this clinic might see it and act.

My entire family have been with this practice for well over 25 years. It has changed drastically. I've held off posting a review for a very long time. You can never get a booking, when you do have a booking it's guaranteed you will be seen at least 1hour later than you were booked in for. We have several occasions where we've had to sit in the waiting room for 2 hours past our booked appointment to finally be seen. Reception can be very abrupt & rude. Doctors are doing the best they can with the very limited time they have with each patient. You will feel rushed, because you are being rushed. We are all moving & enrolling elsewhere. It's become very stressful seeking any healthcare and assistance at The Doctors New Lynn that often times we just deal as best we can to try avoid seeing a Doctor because it takes a lot to deal with this place! Value your health & your sanity. You & your family deserve better healthcare than this place is fit to provide. It's not worth coming to this clinic. This clinic is a headline over something gone wrong waiting to happen. Profit over healthcare. Patients are just numbers & $$$. To the person replying to these messages. Please save your time copying & pasting the same reply to every complaint.

The receptionist didn't seem to know what he was doing or saying, I just needed a prescription from my GP, he sent me to the nurse only for the nurse to be unable to give me my prescription. The next day their phone operator was extremely impatient and rude to me for just asking a few confirmation questions, and at the end of the phone call he asked me if I needed anything else I said no, he replied with a very rude "fine!". Is this how you should treat your patients? Would you like it if your patients treated you the same way? 1 star only because my doctor is actually very kind and patient.

Wish there was an option to choose 0 star. This clinic is pathetic. Staff is absolutely unfriendly. Online appointment booking system is a joke here. They cancelled my appointment twice saying the doctor is not available on the same day of my booking just after they confirmed my booking. Asking me to wait 2 more weeks before I can see a doctor. LOL someone may die or develop serious issues if waited 2 weeks. walk in takes forever and you sit there for half a day to see the doctor. Look at all the previous reviews. less than 2 rating out of 5. Time to shut down and boycott this place.

The Dr's are good, but it's nearly impossible to get an appointment with them. I needed to see a Dr (any Dr) and called them mid week to make an appointment and was told there was a phone appointment available for the following week Tuesday (about 5-6 days away). I also called them on Monday this week and was told there were no appointments available with a female Dr until next month (about 2.5 weeks away). Unfortunately a common occurrence. They just have too many patients/too few Dr's to be able to cope.

Just want to share my experience with the doctor newlynn . It happened twice with me. I had to wait long for my turn when I asked why people going ahead then me ,even after coming late ? I got reply from reception they are emergency case. But this not true emergency call 111 they don’t come to GP. Further whenever I tried to book appointment . They are always fully book. I walk in and choose to pay more in the weekend. Still they serve people who come late 1st . Does not make sense.

I'd say the doctor I saw was pretty awesome and gets A for effort but I'd have to give 1 star coz I just paid $90 consultation fee for nothing. I conclude that it is the receptionists fault, they should have done thorough and proper screenings at bookings so we as patients don't waste our time walking into a clinic at a designated time with hopes high that we are getting our money's worth! I was asked to pay another $70 for a mere measles shot which we get for free in an underdeveloped country!! At the end of the day, I walked home trying to figure out where I'm gonna go to from here, with nothing done, so much for booking one week early with them, I was so looking forward to this appointment. If the receptionist had dug a little deeper and gotten more info then she would have consulted with any doctor and cancelled my appointment or advised me otherwise, so I wouldn't have to waste money coz it doesn't grow on trees, people sweat for a life here, and y'all just sit there and take it. Thanks

From my experience, if you are fine with some medical professionals googling what you may or may not have then this is your place. Also, if you are ok with botched bookings and turning up to find out that they did not book it for the agreed upon and scheduled date even though you specifically rechecked and rang them the morning of then by all means, this is definitely the place for you. Currently getting my medical documents transitioned to another gp. It is a shame that the most basic of communication skills does not exist here.

I’m utterly disappointed I didn’t do further more research before trusting a doctor here to do my sons circumcision. There were no follow up appointments made and I had to make numerous trips to my gp to check it was ok which it was not. The procedure it’s self was botched and after a year on a waiting list to see a specialist I can only now confirm it’s lucky my sons not suffering serious damage but now poses the potential risk of wanting cosmetic surgery to fix mistakes made here. This cost $400 and if anything you’d think this was done at home. I seriously hope this place shuts down.

Was made to feel very uncomfortable and rushed and my doctor just kept saying "I dont know" when I was explaining my symptoms to the point where I lost all confidence. Got blood tests done etc. And still haven heard back about the results and cant get through to the doctors and it's been over 2 months. Its very frustrating considering I already am nervous of going to the doctors anyway. The reception staff however were very lovely but otherwise a very stressful time.

I have returned to get papers signed as I have in the past at this very doctors, only taking 5 minutes. Today I was told that the female doctor wouldn’t see me as it would take 45 minutes to sign a form. So she’s booked me for an appointment in 10 days time, when I need these signed and always have had signed promptly by the great male doctors I’m always seeing at this doctors for 5 years now. Worst experience ever and worst service ever from this female doctor who’s lied to avoid helping me. Avoid seeing Dr Mina Han if you can. She will push you away when you need help that other doctors have given easily.

If I could give no stars I would. Every time we go to get a prescription it’s wrong. Either the wrong dose, wrong medication or the prescription wasn’t filled correctly. The latest one was sent to some pharmacy 3 hours away that I visited 3 years ago. Asked for a new one, rung them at least 10 times, over a week and a half later and it’s still not sorted. I don’t know how much time I’ve wasted trying to get it sorted. Doesn’t matter whether I go in person or call they still can’t get the prescription right. Sick of the constant incompetence and long waits for things to be done incorrectly. Will be going elsewhere

I have visited the doctors New Lynn quite a few times because its close to me and every time the staff their including Dr Sana Salman, Chitamby, more recently Dr Jim they have all been rude unprofessional, incompetent and argumentative. Dr Jim was mean and would not give me a proper diagnosis for my dry ears throat and eczema and told me there was no cause and there is no cure in a rude tone. I wouldn't recommend the doctors new lynn to anyone. They are simply pathetic and are just after your money!

Hopeless. Totally agree that they’d be listed as top 10 Auckland’s worst clinics. Far too many patients for number of doctors. Cant see a doctor for appointment for at least 1-2 weeks. Walk in sessions useless - they say open all day, you arrive, and they say no walkins. Honestly, don’t bother. I’m out and enrolling with another clinic. Should have done it ages ago. That’s my fault.

I took my mom to there today. I had no idea what Dr. Sinnathamby rushed for. What even worse was, we were back to discuss the results. The doctor knew it but he didn't specify it on the note. The receptionist said we would need to pay the same price like we first came. How bizarre. Well, I didn't pay the full consulting fee at the end. What confused me was, don't they have the policy to face such an issue? If I didn't question about the fee of $90, what would happen? overcharge?

Dr Kathirgamu Sinnathamby is racist and called my profession something derogatory and then tried to push that onto me. He made me feel uncomfortable and I found he was rude! And do not get me started on the useless reception team, great for Asian cultures, can barely speak a lick of English and can barely do their jobs!!! The amount of appointments miss booked, no booked, messages not being passed on… This reception team needs to be trained or something. It is appalling. Prebooked appointments 3 months in advance and then they tell me the doctor won’t see me but I still have my appointments with them. The need to get their accounts in order too. It’s best for yourself to keep on top of your account, your appointments and what they are charging you… Trying to get in touch with their manager is harder than finding a needle in a hay stack. The level of respect here is extremely concerning. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!

Google should have a 0 star option. Don't waste your time here if you are not enrolled. I booked an casual appointment over the phone. After everything was confirmed, I drove an hour and when arrived, reception told me my appointment was cancelled by someone and they 've put other patient in. Either wait for 2 more hours to see a doc or re book for another day. I asked why my appointment was cancelled, they just said don't know, their system is bad. What a poor excuse.

Extremely frustrated I've been waiting on the phone for close to 2 hours trying to ring the clinic to make an appointment. This is unacceptable. To be honest I dread the thought of ringing my doctor's because this always happens. I think its quicker just to jump in my car & drive there.

5 stars for the doctors and nurses, went here for a skin surgery and felt like I was in the best hands. Dr Ali and the nurse were both great, big thanks to Dr Ali, super professional, calm and an expert in his field, highly recommend for any skin surgeries/mole removals! 4 stars overall because the practise itself needs a better organising system which is none of the doctors or nurses fault. I was always on time for my appointments but late most times to see the doctor as I spent 5-15 min to even get to reception to notify the doctor that I’m there.

I've been attending this Practice for close to six years now seeing various Doctors. For the past four years with Dr Satya, who is superb. Great team of nurses at the practice who are so kind and caring. Reception team is great too. Highly recommend.

The doctors here are good, but very poor customer service from receptionists. Being defensive before starting to explain anything. Being sarcastic and using words like " dear " does not help either. Please be polite when talking to people. As a family we are enrolled here for the sake of doctors who looks after our kids. But takes 2 months to get a GP appointment .

The English reception is rushing when I called, she did not even get enough information, like date of birth and name, and she said she will do solve the problem, and call back later, she just perfunctory. And the other male reception as well, he always cut my conversation. This place really needs to train their reception's communication skill.

Saying thank you to Tammy and Dr Ali is not enough. They saved my arm yesterday. I burnt my right forearm and last Tuesday and it is infected and swollen since last weekend. Tammy was very kind and sympathetic when I turned up to see a doctor. Dr Ali provided prompt treatment to me yesterday afternoon just before he finished his work. so I had a better sleep last night. Much appreciated 🙏🙏

Just be careful when you buy cough syrup from this pharmacy. All labeled as $22.99 but they charged me $26.99. When asked, the lady informed me that all $22.99 have been sold out and no new pricing has been done for new bottles. The most concerning part is she kept $22.99 label as it is instead of removing. And, instead of apologizing for misleading price, asking me whether I wanna buy it or not. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR.

IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH, STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE.....BE WARNED ⚠️ Dr Adnand Ali failed to report back to us, abnormal readings for high psa readings for my brother, after being told do not phone us, if the test is abnormal we will phone you. We waited and waited and were so thrilled and relieved that he did not call back, the blood test was normal. BUT NO!!!!! About a year later, I had to go to the practice to get some information on my brother, and it was at at that appointment I saw the abnormal psa readings that were taken twice, and twice No call back. That was about a year ago and sadly my poor brother is battling grade 3 prostrate cancer. My brother had to have surgery to REMOVE HIS PROSTRATE. PLEASE LISTEN TO WHAT I AM SAYING AND STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE. All they care about is money money money money money. I have filed a complaint with the health and disability commissioner to have Dr Adnand Ali and the medical centre investigated. PLEASE LISTEN TO ME AND BE WARNED ⚠️

This 5 stars is to for receptionist Johnny Ng if I remember his name correctly, and to Dr Bing Wang for his professionalism. Spoke with Johnny this morning at 10:19 am. He was very patient and helpful. He understands how miserable I feel and tried his best to help me out. Thanks to the Dr Bing Wang for trying to help me and my baby. Can’t thank them enough .

I would like to thank my doctor Dr Saaana Salaman who works at Doctors New Lynn. She is an incredible doctor, very knowledgeable, caring and compassionate. She does an amazing job and she is a true asset to the practice. I highly recommend Saana and I hope she stays to be my doctor for the rest of my life. Thank you Saaana for being my doctor.
