I am extremely disappointed by the service my daughter received today at the urgent care clinic. I truly appreciate COVID has been difficult for all but i also believe it that If you choose to be a doctor you choose to have empathy and kindness. None of which she received today. Especially after waiting two hours. A little kindness goes a long way. It’s Such a shame as a couple of the doctors there have been amazing to my children but todays experience with that doctor was an absolute let down. 👎. Thank you, and top marks to the nurse who apologized and tried to make up for her poor attitude and service.

Despite the many negative reviews, my experience was very different and 100% positive - I got an appointment within 2 hours, had no time to wait and the doctor who treated me was professional, caring and super-friendly. From the first phone contact on, the everybody was extremely nice and welcoming. As though the prices are a bit higher, I’m willing to pay good money for my health-care. I was positively surprised that they told me the price for a one-time-visit (as a foreign tourist) at the phone, so I was already informed beforehand and could choose another medical center if I want. But I’m happy that I chooses the Silverdale Medical and I can recommend it! Thanks to the whole team!

I had the most amazing experience when visiting this medical centre last week. I hardly ever go to see my Doctor but became very concerned with chest pains a few days ago. The care I received was outstanding, the reception staff got me seen immediately even though the waiting room was very busy, I was cared for in the most professional way. Highly recommended.

An absolute joke of a medical centre, both visits in urgent care for my daughter have been beyond disgusting (firstly she was given the wrong diagnosis, leaving her with scares, 2ndly being told after 4hr wait that bleeding out of a private area is not an emergency, with the arrogance of a white female receptionist saying she's alive and breathing which means my daughter is not serous or urgent). Absolutely horrendous place and will never be returning again, especially not in urgent care, not one bit of care in this medical.

If there was a way to put no stars, I would. Please avoid this establishment where possible. Bookings or any general enquiry is a difficult process, always made to use an online portal that proves to be challenging for any aged member of the public. When requesting a booking in person, staff declined to comply and was told online bookings through the portal was the only option. Wait times to see your personal doctor can be 7 to 10 days - not ideal when your ill. Reception staff are rude and unprofessional, no acknowledgment to people standing and waiting for service, personal conversations between staff take priority over patients. Pricing - this is unreasonable. Being charged $30 for referral fees and $65 phone consultations that last barely minutes. $28 prescription fees - which is reasonable if the service reflected the charge. We had been with Silverdale Medical for 20 years, slowly seeing a decline in every aspect. If you want a medical centre that genuinely cares about people and not profit - please find another centre. No empathy - No care - Never an enjoyable experience.

Took my 1yr old son to Silverdale Urgent Care on Sunday. He was projectile vomiting, struggling to breathe and very unsettled. Walked in the door and was told if we’ve had a sore throat, cough, running or blocked nose, loss of taste or smell, nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea then we have to wait in the car and will be seen in the respiratory clinic (side room) where all patients with these symptoms are seen. We were told patients who have appointments will be seen first therefore no triaging and not urgent care. As we walked out of the medical centre my son vomited and was screaming. I then refused to sit with him in the car so we were directed to sit on chairs outside the respiratory consultation room. I watched as patients were called from their cars into their appointments who did not require urgent care while my son continued to vomit and cry. I was in tears myself! This is not the first time this has happened either. If you’re in need of urgent care DO NOT go to Silverdale Medical Centre! In fact if you are in need of any medical care or attention go somewhere else.

Silverdale medical is not a patient-centric centre. It is a money making enterprise that puts systems and processes ahead of people. I am angry than organisations like this exist. The appointments are too short, the doctors are always late, the reception staff are rude and don't seem to actually like patients, and the whole place has a terrible culture. And if you want to ring them up, they are arrogant enough to make you listen to a four minute long phone message before deigning to transfer you to the operator. Silverdale Medical represents the worst of what society and our health system has become. The nurses are, however, excellent.

I have been with this medical centre now since last year and I have always had the most amazing doctors and the whole centre is welcoming and super friendly! I’ve had emergency doctors and several different GPs. My appointments always seem to run on time although I would expect under these trying times for them to run late but they don’t! I’m so glad I changed from my old doctors to this one !

There should be an option for 0 stars. What an appalling excuse for patient care. Do not waste your time or money going here. My husband has been experience severe ongoing chest pains - his first appointment he was left waiting for an hour and then seen by a doctor for a total of 10 minutes (he was charged $70 for this). He was sent for blood tests and told he was fine and to come back in 5 years. He had to request a referral to a cardiologist (Silverdale Medical charged him $30 for this). Still no follow up and he's still experiencing severe chest pains and an elevated heart rate. He went to North Shore hospital yesterday and is still awaiting the results. Today he has been send a bill from Silverdale Medical for another $50 with the reference number the same as yesterdays hospital admission number but he has not heard anything from anyone at Silverdale Medical. Meanwhile he's still having chest pains and there has been literally no care or concern to find out what is actually wrong with him.

As long as you pay they are happy. I had chest pains then get blood pressure taken and bloods done. Followed up with a text to say you are healthier than 90% of people your age see you in 5 years. Yet I was still getting chest pains, there is absolutely no interest in following up and finding the issue. You are a dollar bill coming through that door. Family doctors do not exist here.

Terrible practice. I have found the Dr's great in both urgent care and GP services but the reception and nursing staff are unprofessional and rude. Discussing multiple patients information infront of others in a busy waitroom is completely inappropriate and they don't answer their phones for their urgent care if you have to call from outside (at their request). Wouldn't bother visiting, and go straight to shore care instead. Hope there is a turnover of staff for better and more efficient reception staff and nurses.

Unfortunately as my son was constipated but had been vomiting in the past 24 hours I had to wait outside with my 5 month old baby and 4.5 year old boy. I was told to text the number on the wall outside upon arrival and they would call me in to my appointment. 30 minutes late they finally answered a phone call and said they "hadn't received my text" and had "given my appointment to someone else." We waited 55 minutes to be seen by a doctor due to not checking there phones or thinking to call as they told me I was not allowed to come in the building due to my son having vomited. This is not the first time this has happened to us. Not only that i have had health issues myself ongoing for the past 5 months, every time I have called they've put me onto a nurse who has told me they'll prescribe me medication, I've then had to pay for a phone call which took hours to return, I'm at a point now it's easier living with the intense pain then getting it cured as no one has seen me yet despite the past 3 calls trying to book appointments.

The charge to see the doctor after hours for a newborn was $100. The level of care was substandard. It was brief and very quick. Wait time was 1.5 hours to be seen by the doctor though, I think is the norm after hours. Lucy serving us at reception was very nice.

Had to argue with a nurse over the phone just to get a phone call with a doctor because she did not believe i needed medical treatment. One week later i am still in pain and im fairly sure this is an infection (which i had described to her yet she did not listen to me and brushed me off). The Doc I spoke to over the phone said to rebook if my symptoms persist which I tried to do and of course was re-routed to another nurse phone call. I was told by reception when i called to rebook that a nurse would “Call right back in about 10 mins” Three hours later I missed a phone call which by that point it would have been too late to book anything in anyways . Totally disgusting service - I have never been so pushed around in ANY medical practice and this one is by far the most expensive one i’ve signed up to. I’ve paid you $65 so far for a phone call and i STILL NEED TREATMENT. Feel like I have been absolutely scammed.

Lorraine was a total gem. Very helpful when I struggled to access my phone chat with my MD. It was obvious that it was very busy, and other people were being unbelievably rude and demanding, but she still helped me patiently and made sure I was all set. I’ve luckily had her help a few different times and she’s always been great.

We are fairly new patients but cannot fault the service received from the whole team so far. The reception team are extremely efficient, nurses are very friendly and call back promptly, and the doctors, in particular Dr Gao was amazing with my daughter and very reassuring for me as an anxious first time Mother. My only constructive feedback is that a few times I've called and got through to someone only for the line to cut off, meaning I've had to call back and wait in the virtual queue again.

Went in well experiencing anifilaxis, had been having cold symptoms so was worried they would fool about worrying about covid well I felt like I was dying. The nurse came straight out seen my swollen face and decided to get me in straight away helped me walk to the room offered wheelchair, didn't waste a second in treating me which I am so grateful for because it was probably the most scared and helpless I have ever felt. Thank you so much to the beautiful nurses and the handsome doctor who worked quickly and proffesionally to get me stable. It was a very rough and hard experience but they made me feel safe and comfortable, like I was in good hands and they really cared about me. I don't know how bad it could have been but it felt like they saved my life. And I can't say thankyou enough.

The good experiences were fantastic (even 'till recently) but the bad ones outweighs the good ones by far. Got spoken to by staff as if we're medical professionals and we "should have known". Also no regard for parents having to wait outside in the car with small children. I understand the precautionary measures but surely this isn't the only solution. Bit of "customer care" could sharpen up the rating for this place. Honest review, if by appointment, with no covid symptoms (as simple as just a cough) then great place, however urgent care, no urgency or compassion in my opinion.

We had to make two trips to the urgent care facility at Silverdale medical last week. The wait was short (40 mins the first day and 20 mins the second day). The staff were incredibly caring and welcoming. The receptionist, Christine, was very kind and empathetic of our situation, and the nurse that we saw made sure I had somewhere comfortable to sit with my toddler while we waited to see the doctor. Dr Adrian was extremely patient with my son and went above and beyond to try and make him happy and comfortable during the consult, needless to say he was pretty pleased about getting to watch Baby Shark on the doctors laptop and even play with his stethoscope. We saw dr Michael on the second trip and he was also great and brought out bubbles to cheer up my son. It was such a positive experience! Very grateful for their care during what was a very stressful time for us.

Had a visit on the 7th September for my son as he was not well and managed to get an appointment the same day. The receptionist asked if my son had any symptoms I said that he had a runny nose and a cough, then said I need to do a test on him to make sure he is negative, I told her that I've not done that before on him and her reply was good luck with that. That is very unprofessional, it's not that easy to do that to a child.

Sadly I have to leave a star , that's not justified . My granddaughter was rushed in after a bad fall and a head injury at 7pm you are ment to be open till 8 pm and call yourself an emergency drs. You didn't even care or bother that this 1 year old child was wrapped in a blanket on mums lap crying, vomiting and lethargic and needed to be seen you just said you were closing soon and sent them to Takapuna. Not a nurse or Dr checked her before sending them half an hours drive away . She is ( was ) a registered patient with you . We will never go back .

I cut my finger badly and received quick service since it wasn't looking too good. Thanks to Christina for outstanding work - you diagnosed a partly severed tendon and although they couldn't initially see it at the hospital, during surgery they found you were right on the button. Ten out of ten for Christina and this medical centre.

Arrived at 8.40am Saturday morning and prepaid $200 (yes $200), there were eight other people in the reception area, so a little busy but apparently two doctors on duty. After an hour wait, at 9.40am I was finally seen by a triage nurse and moved to a chair to elevate my leg and await a doctor's availability. After another hour wait, at 10.40am I walked to a nurses room and inquired when a doctor might be available but received a vague response and was informed that if I couldn't wait I could get a refund at reception, which I did. I then drove to Northcare, arriving at 11.15am paid $99, was triaged at 11.15am saw doctor at 11.35am collected prescription (in-house pharmacy) at 11.50am. Such a difference.

I have had 1 good experience in 3 years, the other 6+ have been terrible, on top of that they constantly raise their fees making medical care in silverdale unaffordable for families in need. Would not recommend them to anyone. They do have some great doctors but their management lets them down completely.

We have consistently had good experiences here but yesterday was the best by far. After presenting to urgent care with back pain, fever and numb hands I was promptly seen by the triage nurse and then Nurse Practitioner Chrisy. Chrisy took the time to thoroughly check me over and didn’t cut any corners. Unsure how long exactly we were with her for but I’d say it was at least 30 minutes. Instead of just sending me on my way - she listened to me, assessed me thoroughly as well as running in-house tests in hopes of gaining more of a diagnosis. She then spoke with the North Shore ED who agreed with her I was best to head their way and warned us of a long wait (so at least we were prepared!). The team yesterday arvo were absolutely incredible. Highly recommend and a big thank you to Chrisy!

Silverdale medical has always provided our family with excellent service and their staff are friendly and helpful. Importantly, their doctors are exceptional and provide a wide range of services. A true one-stop clinical practice.

Took our grandson before 9am he had been vomiting and coughing continually all night and again in the waiting room.,wait time was 1 hour it then increased to 3 hours. We paid $100 upfront . Eventually we got to see a practice nurse ! $100 AND NO doctor? This is hopeless and a total ripoff. I was concerned about the cough that had been non stop and was told it would go away on its own. Certainly will avoid going back shorecare is much better you get to see a doctor.

Oh my goodness, is it a really medical centre where suppose to care for sick people?! Sorry I didn’t even get any chance to see any medical staffs here due to a terribly rude receptionist. I wanted to make an appointment but she totally blocked me and my daughter out bcoz they are fully booked without any other suggestion or offer, in such a rude tone! Very much displeased!!!

I had to visit the Emergency Team at Silverdale Medical last week due to a foreign item in my eye. The ED Team and Reception were absolutely fantastic, professional in every respect and very quick to tend to the injury. Highly recommended

Dr Esther Loh did a fantastic job of looking after my rather nervous and sick 3 year old at the viral clinic. I definitely recommend her. My child is recovering well post her care. I also highly recommended Dr Longworth for children. We have seen him at his previous clinic and followed to Silverdale Medical due to outstanding care. The receptionists were friendly and booking an appointment was far more pleasant than other clinics. The nurse who called to triage my daughter and decide how urgent she was and how soon a booking was to be made, was also wonderful. Overall a very great experience.

Excellent service. As it’s mostly online consultations at the moment, if a physical exam is needed, I was asked to come in immediately for samples to be taken, with results back very quickly. Once the results were back, the doctor called me personally to explain and give me the options for treatment. Would definitely recommend.

I recently had to attend the after hours clinic and can't fault the service I received. I was seen quickly, the triage was thorough, and the doctor I saw took the time to collect a complete history, do a full examination and was persistent enough to ensure my ongoing investigation was done promptly. Thank you very much for a compassionate service at a scary time.

My family and I have used urgent care services, GP and nurses' services here and the staff was always very caring, friendly and accommodating. I can only praise them for great work. Yes, there are COVID protocols as is everywhere nowadays but that's understandable and it is with best intentions. Thank you for your great work!
