I pulled some muscles very deep in my back - I had tried hot yoga, physio, and stretching at home. Nothing was able to get to the muscle. However after 3 acupuncture sessions my back pain is significantly better. The needles really get into the deep muscle tissues to help relax the muscle and promote healing. Cupping also helped to relax my muscles. Very knowledgable practitioner, would definitely recommend.

I recently sustained an injury to my left hip that was so incredibly painful. I had gone to see a physiotherapist for 4-5 sessions with no relief and towards the last few sessions, it seemed like the physio had given up and was not providing me with any direct treatment, only informing me about exercises to strengthen my core. After this I sought help from an osteopath hoping that I would get some direct treatment for my injury. I had about 3 sessions with an osteopath and I still had no relief. At this point after exhausting all other options I decided to see Norman at Auckland City Acupuncture. Over the course of a few weeks, Norman was able to completely treat my hip injury. I am very thankful for Norman's help and I know much he cares about his patients. Acupuncture is something that takes patience and I believe that without Norman's careful treatment I would have had no where else to turn.

I was vacationing in Auckland and pulled something in my back and was in a great deal of pain. I’d never tried acupuncture before but a friend recommended it so this was my first experience ever. I have seen Norman twice for cupping and acupuncture and have had great results. I had tried many other options such as Physio, osteopathy, Chiropractic and not had much success in relieving my mid/upper back pain. After both sessions my back felt great, I know I will have to have a few more sessions for long term pain relief, but it will definitely be worth it. We came back to Auckland 6 years later and I had my neck completely blocked. Jack relieved the pain and the dizziness linked to the blockage with acupuncture. I fully recommend this place! The herbal patches are also awesome! Initial review 6 years ago: I had problems with both my knees. When I started my acupuncture sessions with Norman in the beginning of April, I couldn't walk down the stairs normally. I had to go down one step at a time, my right knee was so much in pain. With three acupuncture sessions and the herb patches, I can now walk the stairs down without any pain. Norman is very keen to make the correct diagnosis and asks a lot of questions before the sessions which is excellent. He does not presume or guess, his acupuncture needles have to go exactly to the points where the pain is. Acupuncture treatments take time to work, but I got very good results only after 3 sessions.

I have seen Norman several times for my knee muscle injury. He gave me the acupuncture treatment. Before it is very pain on my knee, after Norman's treatment, I felt relieve of my pain and start feel comfortable. I will continue to visit his lovely clinic. My sincere gratitude to Norman for treating my chronic neck, shoulder and lower back pain with his cupping and acupuncture therapy. I had been suffering from these conditions for more than 2 years and I had spent considerable amount of money on Ortho consultations, Xray, MRI scanning, several physiotherapy sessions, and so many Arcoxia tablets. My lower back pain had become so severe that neither I was able to sit for 30 minutes continuously in office nor I could do a 10 minutes walk, let alone walking up the stairs. That’s when one of my friends recommended me to try acupuncture therapy at Norman’s clinic. He explained both acupuncture and cupping therapies and how they could help alleviate my shoulder and lower back pain. However, he was honest to say that I may, given my chronic condition, require several sessions. Furthermore, he had also advised me that the nature of these therapies is such that it might cause mild to moderate pain during the treatment. He was extremely careful and made me feel comfortable during the treatment. He has been treating me for a month now and it has brought 90% relief and I feel lot more better now. I found Norman’s treatments to be much more helpful than any painkillers. Norman is a skilled acupuncturist and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone who is having similar issues as mine.

Both Norman and Jack are excellent, Norman has been treating pains in my knee, elbow and lower back ( herniated disk ). All are sports injury's I have been treated with acupuncture and had a cupping session. I had a lower back problems, which I couldn't heal with Physiotherapy. My friend recommended Norman as the best acupuncturist in Auckland. However, since I am afraid of needles from childhood I selected cupping sessions. I really liked results, Norman's expertise. Always on time and friendly attitude and polite. Also, a good bonus that they are located right in the city and ACC certified.

After rupturing a number of ligaments in my knee and having to wear a knee brace for three months physio visits were having nil effect on recovery. I sought treatment from Auckland City Acupuncture and Herb Clinic and experienced improvement from the first visit and continued treatment until I had nil residual pain from the injury. I have been seeing acupuncturists on and off for the last 20 years to treat various injuries and can recommend Norman as an outstanding acupuncturist who delivers fantastic results. I am having pinched nerve in my both hands wrist. I had 5 session with Hand Therapist but still there was no recovery/response so I thought to give a try with Acupuncturist. After my first session with Norman, I really felt relieve in my pain just after 2 days. I am still having my weekly session to get rid of it completely. I went to see Norman for a few issues, lower back pain, knee pain and a sore heel. He has been absolutely incredible to work with. He has released the pain in my lower back and upper. The knee and heel pain have been stubborn and difficult to locate but Norman has found the exact problem points and alleviated the pain. Not only have I had fantastic results, Norman is patient, flexible and explains the science behind what techniques he is using. Dr. Huang's medical level is very high. Some time ago, I twisted my waist playing basketball and couldn't stand up. Do some conditioning treatments for consolidation, and the doctor is very nice, I highly recommend everyone to come here.
