This gym was once absoulety SMASHING but due to the change of ownership it is no longer. The staff are great although the new owner uses bully tactics and has no clue how to run a successful business. Due to her position in the company she can and does abuse her power and make this once friendly and happy gym area into a place where myself and many other people do not want to be in. CANNOT wait until my fixed term contract is up and I can join a gym that has a better environment and prices that aren’t through the roof like Just Workout New Lynn.

Still being charged during lockdown (4-5 months paid and will be unused) and even when you want to cancel, they still charge you. They prefer you apply for credit but I don’t want credit I just want to cancel because I’m not going to use this gym anymore and yet cancellation comes at more costs! Completely inconsiderate and utterly ridiculous. Rip off at its best! I will never ever use this gym again!

The Worst response and service New Lynn. I’ve requested for a refund for the membership payment charged during lockdown and still got no response. When called and spoke to the person in charge of New Lynn branch the response what I got was ridiculous. All happy to take people’s money but when asked for a refund just ignoring. Total rip-off. I have requested for a REFUND not CREDIT on my membership.

Great gym with adequate facilities at an affordable price. I enjoy the fitness classes and Pawan the owner has the best attitude. He is genuine, kind and goes out of his way to please his customers. Loving my workouts at Focus Fitness.

Focua fitness offers excellent facilities and isn't too crowded most of the time. The wash rooms, toilets and the sauna are clean and well maintained. The staff is super helpful and friendly, I always feel welcome at this gym! It has the best rates in town, and plenty of parking space. Have been a member for nearly a year and I'd recommend it in a heartbeat!

I like the name, Just work out so please don't talk to me hahaha just kidding. Overall I enjoy coming here, I do my own thing and that's what I like (no offence). Clean, Spacious and I can open a window upstairs (ladies gym). The previous gym had no windows for fresh air, can you imagine how trapped body odour scent is in the summer, ewww no thanks. so thank you just workout for having windows and a nice gym, Cheers 😊

I joined JustWorkout gym New Lynn a few months back, wanting to change my whole attitude towards exercise. At first I was reluctant to go every week...until I attended David`s ZUMBA sessions on both Monday and Friday! David has a way of connecting to all types of people, he creates this fun, sassy and upbeat vibe that makes you want to give it 100% every time! Thank you David for sharing your positive energy with us every week, you are THE Queen.

Am loving being back at this gym after being away for a while. Been some big changes, revamped layout, looks modern and spacious, seems brighter with more natural light and much cleaner too. The new TV screens in front of cardio are way bigger and crystal clear! Overall, more fully equipped than most gyms I've been to, has a wide range of weights, especially like the new touch screen cardio gear and have found the staff to be very helpful & friendly - basically a great atmosphere to work out! Also impressed with the first aid emergency station and having to attend a health & safety session to get 24 hour access. I feel safer knowing everyone’s done this - haven’t seen in other gyms!

There's not a lot of people so it wasn't crowded which was great. However, the gym equipment and machines are a bit old.

The name says it all "JustWorkout". If you're looking for a comfortable atmosphere to workout this is the place, I recently joined the New Lynn branch and it's been a really positive change for me. I don't feel self-conscious here, and the staff are friendly and inviting. I never felt pressured to sign up but, the information and welcome I received on my visit inspired me to join. I recommend taking advantage of the personal trainer starter package if you've been out of the gym scene for a few years like me, I had a personal trainer matched to my personality type and needs, which is great. This offer wasn't pushed on me. I've had a go at Friday night Zumba too and had a lot of fun, they turn it into a disco scene, and there's no extra cost for the class. I highly recommend giving this gym a shot.

By far the best gym in Auckland! Pawan and his team really care for their members - the environment is so comfortable, positive and welcoming. The gym is continuously upgrading, so there's no way you'll miss a muscle group! The owner is also always on site to welcome you, help if you need anything or for some quick banter. It's super clean, they have wet wipes to wipe equipment rather than towels too. There's plenty of space to do your workouts and plenty of equipment so you never have to wait for them. I would recommend this gym to any and everyone!

I love this gym, they are so helpful and convenient. They have a girls gym area upstairs which I love and it’s very clean. They have a sauna and great membership prices that caters to everyone’s budget, the owner is awesome as well! I have been a member here for 2 years now and will continue to do so.

Fantastic Gym, friendly stuff and people in general. The gym is under new management and they are very welcoming. The place has modern cardio machines, wifi and they also offer personal training programs if required. I highly recommend this gym for everyone.

I have been going to this gym for many years and highly recommend it, the new owner is very experienced and helpful and the fitness classes are just awesome. everyone is friendly and down to earth and the new look gym has a great vibe.

The first impression of the gym was the cleanliness and it’s owner Pawan’s warm welcome. He has a keen interest in his clients progress and is very helpful and approachable. The machines are well maintained and clean. He also has a variety of classes like Yoga, Pilates, boxing etc that are well run. So glad I joined this gym and would highly recommend it to all

Very big place to workout. Everytime I've been I haven't had to wait for things so that's great. Some of the equipment is a bit dated, but they have a lot of new stuff in there too. The male bathroom was a bit tricky to find to be honest but that could just be me. It is 24 hours which is amazing.

Gym itself is a good size , cardio equipment is plentiful and modern, heaps of weight equipment, some of it is old but of high quality. Personally the best reason I go to this gym is that it's never overcrowded, even at peak times there is little or no wait to use equipment.

I left nz early this year because of covid, and stoped my bank account at April, I send emails to stop my membership there as I’m not in this country, they ignored and keep sending me payment notices, from $20, $40 , 60, 80 and today my flat mate received a mail for me they send a $234 balance under my name. I was always support them during covid those 2 years. And this is what they did to their 5 year loyal customers. I’m not back yet and don’t have any bank account in nz. I’ll ask my friend to make the payment for me but this gym makes me sick 🤮🤮🤮🤮

I've been a member of this gym nearly half a year now and most first thing you will notice is that how much owner loves and cares about his gym with a great pride. all the staff gives you very warm welcoming every time you come in. loads of equipment's that is well maintained to try, tidy bathroom & shower room, massage chair and a sauna. parking is no problem at all since parking lot is so spacious. there is nothing else to talk that this is the best gym in town !

The owner Pawan is very welcoming and an awesome gym setup. No wait times to use equipment and the weekly prices are very good compared to other gyms in the area. Highly recommend anyone who wants to join a super friendly gym.

Honestly the team down at focus fitness always have a smile on there face and helpful. The price is very affordable and you get access to the sauna and massage chairs. they also have classes and every machine you need. also 24 7 access!

FF provides advanced fitness equipment which also includes my favourite machine (The massage chairs). More importantly they provide a very friendly/open environment for one to express themselves. From Management to staff each and every single thing in the gym is organised and monitored properly (parking ,welcoming the clients , keeping the gym hygienic and safe, training the clients and most importantly creating positive vibes. I just started going to this gym about a few months now. Its got a friendly atmosphere, you get to know the regulars and the owner Pawan welcomes new members to his gym. The facilities are very spacious and clean. You can shower and sauna after a workout and massage chairs for your aches and pain afterwards. I love how there are different fitness classes for the young and old. It has womans only gym upstairs for those who would rather do a workout away from the men downstairs, but you can use those machines if you prefer. The price is reasonable as well. Come and join us and be part of the team if 🫵 dare! 💪

A great local gym. Excellent facilities, classes, sauna, massage chairs and friendly staff. Gym users are really easy going with no egos. There is no hard sell to join. It is definitely worth a look round as the prices are really affordable. Parking is easy and the location is great.

Has recently changed ownership & is rebranding. Now has a super-friendly, positive vibe. There is a good choice of contracts including one without a fixed term. The facilities and equipment are clean & the gym isn't crowded. Highly recommend - just encouraged another family member to sign up today!

Great gym. Has a wide variety of cardio machines, weight machines, and free weights. Lots of floor space so you never feel crowded, there is a great atmosphere among members, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to start their fitness journey!

Excellent Gym facilities that doesn’t break your bank account. Great tools, machines, sauna, clean premises and the amazing massage chair to relax/cool you down after hard workout or even a stressful day at work. The new owner Pavan is amazing, he keeps you motivated, follow up on your progress, shows the correct techniques to use machines if you are not familiar with any and always available on floor and interacting with members.

Has been going to focus fitness since past few months! From staff, to cleanliness, to equipment everything in this gym is top level! Vibe of the gym is very pleasant and amazing! Pawan always greet and talk with his members with smile no matter what and I think that welcome gesture is hard to find in every gym! Price is also cheap compare to other gyms plus extras like massage chairs, sauna, group class and the list goes on! Happy that I have enrolled myself in focus fitness!

I have only been the accompanying person for my son who is the main member - but nonetheless I thoroughly enjoyed every single session I have had at FocusFitness. This has several reasons a) all machines you can probably think of, are available, in good condition and well maintained. b) there are excellent classes available (check out Wed night Pilates and Yoga - superb!). c) The (new) owner of the place, Pawan, is super-friendly, very motivating and makes time for every member and their accompanying person. d) The rest of the team is also excellent and very welcoming. e) (my little treasure... ;-)) there are super effective massage chairs available for relaxation after exercising or just for comfort and pleasure. Can highly recommend this place. Sadly moving overseas for now, but on our return we will definitely enrol again, when we happen to live in the area again. Its always hard to commit time and money to a gym membership. But this gym has amazing staff that leaves you wanting to come back for more! Well located and plenty of parking. It has variety of group classes, sauna, and massage chairs. Changing rooms are always clean and equipped with hair dryers and straightners. Only three months on, I am stronger and have more range of movement. A place to let go of stress and raise my mood. More than worth the price you pay for!

Love this gym so much! The staff are so helpful and friendly, and this has really set the gym up to be a welcoming and supportive environment (with a really nice culture). The facilities are excellent, and kept immaculately clean, and there are continual improvements to equipment as well as new machines coming in (so you’re never waiting forever for a squat rack). I personally find Focus Fitness to be the best gym that I’ve been a member of- for everyone from beginners to experts. Also an awesome and diverse community of members.
