My partner and I booked the Hobbiton and Glowworm package. What an amazing day! Both my partner and I are massive LOTR fans. We had a blast! All three your guides were fun, engaging and made us feel comfortable all the time! If you can, ask for Sunny at Hobbiton. He was exceptional. For the day, we had Matt as our tour guide. He drive us everywhere, took us to lunch and morning tea and home at the end of the day. He was a delightful man and guide! Very knowledgeable, kind, engaging and funny. Mu partner and I really had a great time with him! It was a shame to leave the tour group at the end of the day. 10/10 would recommend. Of you're visiting Auckland and you have a day (6:40am-7pm), please, do yourself a favour and book this trip!

We had a lovely half day tour of Auckland with Mike. He picked us up directly from our hotel downtown and we stopped at another location to pick people up from the cruise ship that was in town. He was very friendly and had lots of good information to share about Auckland. He was willing to help take pictures wherever we stopped. There was a nice amount of driving and walking around. For people with mobility restrictions, this tour may not be the best but some of the people on our tour stayed back on the bus while we walked around. The bus itself is very crammed in if it is at full capacity but the ability to get out and walk around helps with that! Overall a wonderful experience

I took the Hobbiton and Waitomo Glowworm Caves tour. This was an AMAZING tour led by Mike our guide. The tour itself was magical especially if your a LOR fan. Mike was very knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. One the best tours I have EVER taken. Don’t miss out even if you have’n’t seen LOR. You won’t be disappointed.

Must go in Auckland! I needed to change the date cause the weather was not good, and Nicolle did very attended and Michael are the best and makes everything turns special! He is a great photographer too! Hobbiton is unforgettable! Highly recommend this tour!

Booked via OTA. Pleasantly surprised this was the company. Had a great time. Amethyst (spelling?) was our tour guide. She was fun, knowledgable, and full of insight and suggestions. The tour itself was better than advertised. Just wish the tour of the caves lasted a bit longer.

Excellent tour. Our guide Mike was awesome. He made the trip very interesting and fun. We had a lovely day roaming around beautiful Auckland. Every stop was spectacular. Mike patiently shared a lot of info about NZ and took pictures for us. It’s a very special trip and we definitely recommend this tour to everyone.

My friend and I have a very nice day trip with our tour guide Danny! He takes cares of everyone and good control of time. He also stops by some beautiful scenic viewpoints so we can take photos.

I had the pleasure of visiting Hobbiton and Waitomo with Michael. I have rated the two attractions individually - this review is solely about Auckland Scenic Tours and Michael. Firstly, the organization of the tour, booking etc has all been absolutely perfect. There is nothing I would have done better/different. The guys also keep you informed all the time and also send a reminder the day before - awesome customer service. Now, a separate paragraph about our guide Michael (out of their two Michaels this is about the long dark haired and glass Michael :D). Man this is really the most awesome tour guide I ever met in my life. He is entertaining, knows how to connect those random people on his bus. He had a good banter and he knew a ton about New Zealand and the two attractions we have booked. Not only that, he also took amazing photos of each of the participants. You really made this a special day Michael!

What a great tour to Hobbiton, everything went as planned. Scenic Tours are very organised a have very good communication post booking. Michael our tour guide was just simply fantastic, very friendly, funny and informative, gave us lots of recommendations, and he's a really good photographer too!; he even did a quick stop for local ice cream! For long time I was really looking forward to this day and Scenic Tours delivered!, I'm very very happy with the service provided and would not hesitate to recommend them.

We had an absolutely awesome time on the Hobbiton & Waitomo Glowworm Caves Tour with our driver Mike! We had a pretty small group, so it was awesome to get to know him and be able to ask questions. Mike was super knowledgable about the whole Northern Island and, of course, the locations we drove past, providing us with a bunch of interesting info and also relating it to himself and the places the group members were from (in our case, Melbourne, New York, and Michigan!). The whole day was spent laughing and in awe of the beautiful Aotearoa scenery. Last week, my boyfriend and I went on a day trip with Auckland Scenic Tours where we visited Hobbiton and the Waitomo Caves. Mike was the leader of our trip and he was absolutely fabulous. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, charismatic, and helpful in every way you can imagine. This tour was awesome, resulting in all of us tourists becoming friends along the way. I would absolutely do this experience again. Thank you Mike for such a wonderful, positive experience!!!!

We had the best full day tour of Waitomo caves/Hobbiton movie set with our AMAZING guide Geoff! He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, took tons of photos for us and I only wish I had cash on me so I could have shown him some extra love.

Wonderful half day city tour of Auckland with Mike. What a great tour we saw so much of the city and our guide was just fantastic. Safety was his first priority at all of our stops and the view of the city were amazing. We learned a great deal about the history of the city. If you only have a limited amount time in Auckland I highly recommend Auckland Scenic Tours and ask for Mike. Oh and he has a wonderful sense of humor!

I had a great time taking the Hobbiton and Waitomo Cave tour with Michael earlier this week! Our group had a fun day and Michael’s enthusiasm certainly brought our energies up so early in the morning. We all had a wonderful time and Michael did everything he could to make sure we had a great day 😊. I thought the tour had a lot of value and packed a whole lot of fun in a day!

Booked the Hobbiton and Waitomo Caves tour. Our driver and guide, Tyler, was super nice and knowledgeable. He gave us tips for having the best experience in Hobbiton and the caves. Being a kiwi, he also gave us restaurant suggestions for later that night which proved quite good. The lunch provided on the tour was delicious as well. It's important to note that the day of our tour it rained all day, but the experience was still wonderful sinceTyler had umbrellas for us and the staff at Hobbiton were pros and use to the rain.

This was by far one of the greatest tours I have ever been on. Our tour guide Matt was phenomenal, he was very knowledgeable and treated us all very wonderfully. But not only that, their whole team at Auckland Scenic Tours are great communicators and cater to your needs! I recommend these guys 100/100! They are so good at what they do!

They did an amazing job making Hobbiton and Waitomo Caves that much better. Alex was on time and on point. He got us where we needed to be, kept us informed, and entertained us with his knowledge of all things New Zealand. Alex did a great job. Before the tour I received multiple emails from the company telling me when and where I would be picked up and when and where I would be dropped off. They took care of all the logistics at each tour spot and Alex even took pictures of us. Highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful company to book a tour with, they were efficient, professional, kept you up to date with everything going on and very friendly. Our guide Dwayne was great at making sure everybody was comfortable and having a good time, he was really good at his job. The tour its self is such an amazingly fun day, Hobbiton is so worth it and the glow worm caves are a must do.

I booked the Hobbiton Movie Set guided tour and I was absolutely blown away. Such amazing service. I was picked up outside my apartment and driven to Matamata and back home. All of the routes were through scenic areas which added to the experience. What made it even better was the amazing tour guide, David, who went above and beyond to provide the best journey experience. I learned so much about New Zealand as David would tell me facts about all of the areas we drove through. Additionally, David also gave me some amazing tips for when I got to Hobbiton which would make the experience so much better! If I could give this tour a higher rating I would. I will definitely be booking more tours with this company in the future.

We have just recently done the Auckland wine tour for my partners birthday and we were blown away!! From start to finish the whole tour was amazing, David our tour guide was great company and really knew his stuff. The winerys we visited were beautiful and we even ended up tasting several extras at each place we visited for no extra cost. If your looking for a great way to spend a day in Auckland you can't go past this tour, we will definitely be doing it again soon.

The Waitomo Caves and Hobitton tour is amazing. Matt is an experienced tour guide who is knowledgeable and fun to travel with.
