Best haircut I had in months... phillip is the best barber in Takapuna, strongly reccomend this place... also gave me a friendly welcome... and finally offered me a free wax... thanks lake rd barbers see u again.

Good haircuts at a traditional style barbers. Make sure you tell them specifically what you want and you will likely get it. No frills place but very reasonably priced for the area.

Quite possibly the best barbershop and place to get a haircut in the North Shore. Every single time I have been to this barbershop the barbers have done an exceptional job. It is a shame that Richard has left because I used to get my hair cut by him even before he worked here throughout my childhood so I could really trust him. He no longer lives in Auckland unfortunately

I've had a 5 or 6 cuts now here (I'm a local) while the cut is OK - the older chap (Bruce ? ) talks and talks and talks (to the point it's actually annoying and I normally do enjoy a good chat). He pretends he's your best friend all the while slagging off his other customers and telling me all about his issues with his girlfriend /wife (his relationship with her changes from haircut to haircut ???? ) . I put up with his chatter (bcos I think maybe he's lonely or needs to vent or is nervous /awkward) and his constant touching me on the shoulder (when he wants my attention or maybe he thinks he can do that because he thinks it's ok ) but it's really not. He also charges different prices for no apparent reason - I've been charged $30 , $35 and recently $40 and the recent $40 charge was for a quick 15 minute clean up around the sides. It's unfortunate bcos I do like to support local business but c'mon guys be professional in the service you provide.

I have been a customer of this business for over 35 years. The chaps who run it are good at their barber skills and also good at conversation. This place is like hairdressers used to be. By the way they have a discount for old pensioners like me.

Went to get my son haircut, showed picture how I want it longer in the front, he didnt do as I instructed, and he cut his hair toooooo short!!! Very disappointed. I woupdnt recommend at this place for his frist haircut, bad experience.

Not normally one to review and maybe I was just unlucky but literally worst haircut I’ve had. Went for a specific hair cut and beard trim ended up having half my beard cut off what looked like a helmet on my head, ended up having to pay and then going straight to another barber and had it fixed as much as possible. The guy was nice but if you cannot do something don’t do it. I’m sure if you are after just a crew cut it’ll be sweet.
