It's almost incredible. Best Thai food I ever had in my life. Delicious sweet sour chicken, fantastic starters and awesome vegan duck. Don't miss this spot when you're in Auckland. Best food experience forever 😋 Wonderful staff and great cocktails too. Will be definitely our favorite restaurant from now.

The food here is amazing !! Me and my partner came for the bottomless. We were abit skeptical about the food since it's plant based and he's a butcher. But we were both blown away with how tasty it was ! Especially the pork belly, the texture was crazy it even had the "fat". The bottomless is definitely worth every $$ and the waitress that served us was so friendly. We had such a great time.

One of the best vegan restaurants in Auckland. The most convincing fake meat I've tasted in 9 years vegetarian. Recommend the duck. Interesting cocktails and good craft beer selection.

We are not vegans so weren't sure what to expect initially. But we were very impressed with the food here, one of the best Thai food we've had! Our favourite was the duck with noodles, we could not tell it was vegan at all! Staff members were very friendly too, love that they also do mysterious cocktails, quite cool!

Probably the best vegan experience I've had. Never even questioned the lack of meat as everything was so well seasoned and flavourful. The meals were filling and satisfying. And the vegan twists on typical 'meats' were cleverly done. They had some fun cocktails available, and the option for a fun tower beer. Lovely service.

What a phenomenal wee place! Everything was SO delicious, so nice to have vegan options that aren’t just bland tofu and salad! The staff were so attentive and kind- they even bought out a dessert to celebrate my friends birthday! Just wow, will DEFINITELY be returning.

Vegan Thai like you’ve never had it - seriously tasty flavours and ‘meat’ that can satisfy the most hardcore carnivore friend. Great presentation, impeccable and friendly service, fun vibe.

Value for money: a bit pricey but is good place to hangout with mates and family. Overall experienc: Good food, quick service...

Viva vegan, viva Khu Khu. My partner is vegan and not every restaurant provides a good selection of dishes. It’s great to come to a place like Khu Khu where we can order everything on the menu. And the food didn’t disappoint. It’s a shame we only had some snacks here, I will definitely want to return and go through the entire menu!

It's a very cozy restaurant. Plenty of paid parking outside, so very convenient. Love the food, it's nicely presented, good portion and great for sharing. Service is also unbeatable. Staff were so attentive and friendly. The only reason why I didn't give them 5 stars is because there was a table of 6 who were very loud as if it was their home and so very disturbing. Since it's a small restaurant, it would have been good if they can be more considerate of other eaters! Shame on you! My hubby likes the cocktails and recommends the lychee on fire and watermelon basil.

I ordered my meal online and picked it up at the restaurant at the designated time. The order was ready to go when I arrived. The food is interesting since everything was vegan. The kumara spring rolls were quite full and went nicely with the chilli sauce. The pad Thai had a unique fragrance which I was assuming was from the tempeh. The noodles did get a bit gluggy but that was probably because it didn't travel well. The flavour was nice though and I did like the slightly crispy tempeh in with the noodles. The pad kaplao tofunky was nice. Nice flavour but was a bit disappointed it didn't come with rice. It had a nice combination of vegetables and I particularly enjoyed the mushrooms. The food was nice but I think ordering it spicier would've made it nicer. The restaurant was quite small and really busy so booking might be needed if you were wanting to dine in. Quite a nice place for food and would like to try one of the curries for next time.

Everything tasted fine. They tried but can definitely tell it's not meat in both texture and taste. The most interesting was the faux pork belly.

We didn't know it was a vegan restaurant and it turned out to be an awesome experience! Spent a beautiful evening thanks to all lovely staffs. All recommended food options were nice. The vegan duck and daikon were amazing! Definitely will visit again :)

Went here with a friend for dinner on a Saturday night and it was so good! The guy serving us was so friendly and accommodating. He had a smile on his face and seemed like a genuinely kind person. The cocktails I had were amazing and the food came out pretty quickly after we ordered. I like how they have individual plates set on the tables and you can just order a few things off the menu and grab a bit of each for your plate. The food was amazing!! It was so flavourful and vegan!! My friend eats meat and even he said that he really enjoyed the "chicken" and that it was hard to tell it wasn't real. All in all, really great place to dine. Great service, great food and vegan. You couldn't ask for more than that!!

Great food, great staff, very nice dining experience! We got the St Patrick's Day menu that came with spring rolls, green curry, duck noodles and pandan cheesecake. All were very good, especially the duck noodles and cheesecake (pictured)! The green curry originally didn't have much eggplant in it (which we thought it should have because it was advertised as a green curry with tofu, eggplant and seasonal veg). When we told the staff they were very sorry and fixed it quickly by bringing us more eggplant in the curry sauce. Service was also super. Keep it up!

I came here for a birthday dinner and had a great time, the food was incredible, and had some of the best vegan meat alternatives I’ve tasted. My only feedback is that we were asked about six times during our main course how the meal was going - this was maybe a little excessive but I didn’t mind one bit because the food was so delicious.

TLDR: One of the best vegan Thai experiences worldwide! Atmosphere: Small but bright, open, and well decorated. MAKE RESERVATIONS! We did not have reservations and got very lucky twice. Service: Great service both for dinner and lunch. It was easily one of the best service teams we had during our month long stay here in NZ. Each server cared about their job and were on top of ordering, drinks, etc. even when the restaurant was at capacity. Food: Most importantly is the amazing food. Each dish gives you a first-class ticket to Flavortown. The spring rolls are crunchy but not greasy, and the sauce is beautifully fresh. The summer rolls are extremely fresh and unique with their beat filling. I would recommend adding some sweet tofu to the summer rolls for a warm element there. We had the hot and sour, pad see ew, panang curry, and pad Thai. All four dishes were excellent and so cleanly flavorful. Many times, flavor is sacrificed for freshness. At Khu Khu, nothing is sacrificed. If you like Thai, you got to eat here!

Delicious vegan food! The service was friendly and attentive, and everything we ordered was delicious. The duck and the pork belly were so good, and we also had a really yummy pandan cheesecake. I recommend making a booking for a weekend night. Bring friends so you can order and try everything!

Wow! I couldn't ask for a better experience, the customer service here is on point they really know how to make you feel welcome and accommodated. All the food was an easy 10 out of 10, every dish was so unique and the flavour profile of the food was super delicious and fresh. I recommend this place to anyone who is wanting to give the vegetarian/vegan lifestyle a go, I'm quite new to this type of eating and having food that tastes that good makes me feel like I won't ever go back to eating meat dishes. I will most definitely be returning here in the future.

Best vegan chicken The sweet and sour sauce didn’t taste like the typical sweet and sour but even better. Really nice texture too. Good portion size rice

Delicious vegan dishes, beautiful presented. Venue is clean, well kept. We brought a birthday cake for our friend, the cake came out on a plate with cake knife and server ready for us. Not many restaurants well thought out like Khu Khu. Staff were friendly, and gracious. We love it and will recommend to our families and friends.

Best vegan restaurant I've ever been to. Spring rolls were fabulous as always. Rice paper rolls were packed and peanut sauce delicious. Pad Thai was better than I expected. Was not so keen on the "pork belly", but will be sure to order the "chicken chicken" dish next time.

Some of the best vegan food I've ever had. Ordered three courses and was so glad we decided to eat there!
