3 staff attending to one customer with an issue, while I just stand there invisible, waiting to be served. Luckily for them, they did get my hard earned coin EVENTUALLY, almost walked out. Bald guy with tattoos is seriously rude! 😡

Staff did their best to be helpful and I ended up buying good gear, but at least two employees didn't know what or where the Routeburn was. Not the employees' fault, but more training about the NZ outdoors wouldn't go amiss - it's not a good look for NZ's biggest tramping/hiking retailer.

We had a great shopping experience in this store during our New Zealand holiday. We bought an amazing Jacket for me, which is so light yet extremely warm and a fleece top for my husband. The customer service provided by the staff was excellent and great fun. The prices were good as they had some reductions at the time were shopped there. Well worth a looksee

I went into Kathmandu Queen Street to exchange a hiking bag that I’d purchased online as it was too small. I was looked after by Lucy, Lucy was friendly & helpful. She assisted me with all my questions & suggested some additional products that would be good on our hiking trip. Lucy wasn’t pushy but a natural sales lady with a smile who knows her products. Lucy is an asset to your team 🙌🏽

In A Nutshell: -So happy to have discovered New Zealand's Kathmandu store. -As a wannabe outdoor adventurer you can feel the difference in quality. -Back home in the USA we have North Face, Columbia, Under Armour, Nike, etc... -With a name like Katmandu, it's expected that the gear has been validated to withstand nature's elements. -Had to buy some boots & jacket for an upcoming trip to Iceland. Overall, if they pass that test, I will purchase more gear for the not-to-distant-future, Mount Everest (Himalayas) trek.

The staff is very helpful and friendly. The shop is a bit too tight for the space. Seems need more space as the space between ailse is very narrow. Most of the clothes are tied to a chain which seems someone will steal the clothes.

Kathmandu is not usually the place I go to to find a huge deal, but my god did I get one here. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful in finding exactly what I needed and they had a deal for $100 off for every $250 you’d spend, so I’ve just walked out with a quality item for an insanely good price. I emphatically recommend.

Visited Kathmandu yesterday and today. A wonderful store person Krystyn first remembered the items I asked to hold for me the day before. Then when I asked a few more things she expertly recommended me some items, went downstairs to get them for me to try. 10+/10 service.

One of the best place to buy jackets, hiking equipment, hoodies and all sorts of winter clothing. This shop is spacious and has wide varieties of clothing and hiking accessories to choose from. There isn't much parking space available. The staff is really sincere, friendly and cooperative. Operating till 6pm, the shop isn't that crowded and the staff provides all sort of information to help you out. The materials are not that costly and are on an affordable rate.

Younger staff were very friendly and helpful the middle aged ladies were unhelpful and quite rude

I visited this store numerous times, during the week and the weekend, to get a specific pair of Keen shoes. I was never served by anyone. I gave up and went next store to MacPac and bought an alternative Keen shoe for $8 more. The store does not understand the concept of customer service.
