Great ambience! Loved the elegant and luxurious bar design. We arrived at about 4.30 pm on weekdays, and it was great to get the table having a view of the Sky Tower. It offers its unique cocktails and classics as well.

We stayed at the Four Points Sheraton and went to The Churchill twice while there. The staff was exceptional and we were not rushed. When an outdoor table with the view of Sky Tower became available, a staff member told us and we moved our drink. If we go back to Auckland, we certainly would go back.

Awesome rooftop bar and restaurant in the heart of downtown Auckland. The Ora King Salmon Tartare and the hand picked 55-day aged Beef Eye Fillet Tataki, their two best sellers, are outstanding. Excellent local oysters too. The Charcuterie Board has a wide range of meats and sauces. Packed with a hip urban crowd. Make sure you arrive early to score a table with an incredible view. Enjoy one of several outside tables if it's not too windy. There are also heaters for when it gets chilly. Daniel is very knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely going back again.

Omg was so impressed with this gin rooftop bar. Not a large space, tiny and cosy. Certainly it's a very trendy environment. Service on the night was on par. Our waitress was so helpful in helping us decide what to order. She was well informed on what was on the menu, very friendly. It's a must to try this place at least once.

Such an amazing gin bar! Definitely a place to go to if you're a local or a visitor. Great views, indoor and outdoor seating, great seating options and great place to go no matter if you're alone or with a small group of people. Staff are extremely nice, know their stuff and offer great suggestions. This is a pricey place, but we'll worth it!

Interior is well designed, staff is helpful and understanding making the experience delightful! Drinks were absolutely delicious, and weโ€™re well explained (just went with recommended drinks from the waiters after hearing about our preferences and worked like a charm every time) Views were quite nice! Canโ€™t wait to come back here.

Swanky and beautiful, stylish with a good crowd. The mixologists are excellent with a decent variety of flavours and styles. Needless to say the Gin is the main show that will need a couple more visits to complete a tour of their flavours. The food menu may be small and simple, but oh boy is it good! We'll be back for more!

Do you like gin and/or cocktails (*not necessarily gin-based) and/or impeccable service and/or incredible views? If you answered 'yes' to *any* of the above, you MUST visit this stunning bar. Gin lovers will be blown away by the selection of 200 gins from around the world (a respectable selection of local gins is accounted for, of course, but you'll also find some from Japan, the US, Spain and more) and will be delighted by the option to select your gin, your mixer & your garnish to customise the perfect G&T (or G&S, if soda is more your jam). Cocktail lovers will be delighted by the beautiful creations on the menu (and history buffs will enjoy the little stories that accompany each). If you can't quite imagine what a given cocktail will taste like, ask the bartenders to walk you through it - and if none of the drinks on the menu strike your fancy, tell the bartenders what your tastes are and let them blow you away by creating something original just for you. The vibe is immaculate, too - a bar where I can actually hear my friend's voice without having to shout but that still has a beautiful ambiance and background music. I was equally happy sitting at the bar alone, sipping a drink & chatting to the staff, as catching up with a friend. Frankly, there's nothing not to love about The Churchill.

The Churchill in Auckland delivers a delightful experience with its delicious drinks, and the Bees Knees is a standout choice. The flavors are expertly crafted, leaving a lasting impression. The venue offers gorgeous views, creating a captivating backdrop for an enjoyable evening.

The view was outstanding but the service was poor. As I was to prepay for our drinks, the waiter who took our orders couldn't remember my mate's order and asked me to do his job - by asking me to go back to our table and confirm my mate's order - perhaps so he doesn't have to do the walking back! If I wasn't having a good night, I would have let this ruin our night. But here's some feedback for your review.

Atmosphere amazing. Staff amazing. Disappointed by cocktail. Travels 45 minutes to visit the Churchill, paid for parking, excited to catchup with my friend. My cocktail comes out in a tea cup and saucer, like an earl gray tea, honestly wish i'd taken a photo to share. The cocktail wasn't to my liking but I understand that's the one I ordered, so prepared to just sip away at the straight taste of spirits. Food was big prices for small portions but I knew that already. Please management such a nice place. Get rid of the tea cups was embarrassing and such a shame I can see all these beautiful ones from other peoples reviews.

Great selection of cocktails, excellent service, and brilliant views over the CBD. I can highly recommend the death by chocolate cocktail. Also the 10.10.10 options are fun. Botanist gin, with Fevertree elderflower tonic, and orange and cinnamon was a really refreshing combination.

VISIT: end of February 2020 We just lucked out in our timing here, before lockdown and soon after they opened. The drinks are instagram worthy, along with the bartender's attire and the drinks were also delicious! I LOVED the entire layout of this place and definitely think it's worth a stop. HOWEVER, the place is pretty small with outdoor seating limited to maybe 6-8 tables. But, if you do score a seat on the balcony the views are phenomenal! Because of the size, we did end up standing awkwardly by the bar for a bit waiting for a spot, so if crowds aren't your thing, maybe pass or try to get there early - we went around 4pm and it was still pretty crowded. It is a great concept with spectacular views, so I hope they can reopen soon!

Itโ€™s our first time to visit New Zealand and weโ€™re looking for a place to relax after a long flight, get drinks, and just have a good time. They have a walk in only policy which was perfect! Everyone here is so nice and friendly (because we had a lot of questions about their food and drinks - they sure know what to recommend). We got to customize our drinks & they have an impressive selection of cocktails, gin & others including mocktails. Their food is AMAZING! The 55 Day Aged Sirloin Au Poivre was tender, the Triple Cream Brie was indeed over the moon complementary to the drinks, the Red Wine Braised Lamb was the bomb - i love that it wasnโ€™t too gamey & the desserts are a must: the Citrus Posset & Truffles are not only gram worthy but also one of a kind with their combination of playful & unique sweet flavors. Visiting The Churchill Auckland is an experience! A rooftop cocktail & gin bar that gives you the best drinks, a good place to unwind and have fun with great music, plus they have breathtaking views of the city including the Sky Tower. We highly recommend this gin and cocktail rooftop bar especially when you are in the area.

This bar was so convenient while staying at the Four Points. I told the bartender what I like and he made me a delicious concoction. The vibes and the view were great.

Amazing little bar with an even better view of Auckland CBD. Came here following the suggestion of a flight attendant and wow were we happy to have followed their advice. Discreetly located in the Hilton hotel is a lounge bar with a near 360' view of the city. Wonderful bar big floor to ceiling windows and balconies provide you with sweeping views of Auckland which are amazing on beautiful weather days. We came shortly after it opened and the bar comes alive fairly quickly with plenty of local color as well as travelers. The servers are knowledgeable about their gin selection and can easily guide you through the menu to find something to your taste. Primarily a gin focused bar, we enjoyed a couple of their 10-10-10 drinks where you pick your gin, mixers, and botanicals. They also make cocktails named after key periods or people in Churchill's life. I tried the Formerly which had a lime gochujang cordial that gave the drink a hit of heat that was unexpected but very pleasant, I highly recommend it if you like bloody Mary's with heat. Whether you're in Auckland for a day or longer, you should definitely come here for a drink if the weather is good and is a must if you love gin!

The most exceptional food! The Aged Beef Sirloin was sensational and a must try! We came for the gin experience (which was also phenomenal) but left with our bellies full and taste buds tingling! Well done Chef! ***** Incredible staff - very friendly & knowledgeable. Their Branding and the story behind The Churchill is innovative and you can tell the team are very passionate about what they do. Weโ€™ll be back next time weโ€™re in AKL.
